The meat itself was great, but the customer service experience was absolutely terrible.

My mother placed an order with ButcherBox and received a text message saying that her order was incomplete. Based on that message, she reasonably placed another order so she could receive what she had originally intended to purchase. Both orders were then delivered, and she was charged for both.

She immediately reached out to ButcherBox to explain what happened, but no one ever responded to her original email. Instead of having an actual person review the situation and try to resolve it, she was eventually left dealing with an AI chatbot. The response essentially amounted to, you placed two orders, so this is your fault.

That completely misses the point. She placed the second order because ButcherBox itself told her the first order was incomplete. At no point did anyone meaningfully address her original email, acknowledge the misleading/incomplete-order notification, or make any real attempt to rectify the situation.

It’s especially frustrating because the meat was actually very good. Unfortunately, good products don’t make up for poor customer service. When a company makes a mistake or creates confusion with an order, I expect them to have a real person available to investigate it and work toward a reasonable solution—not hide behind an AI chatbot and essentially blame the customer.

ButcherBox is so easy to deal with. You can change your selections any month. Meat is always delicious. Of the few times there has been an issue, usually the shipping carrier's issue, ButcherBox has always made it good. Last but not least, their prices are reasonable.

Butcher Box is so convenient! I love the quality and how you can change up your order! I've been a customer for several years!

I was sent a pack of ribeyes that were clearly bad, discolored and stunk. I emailed 3 times and never heard back. Will be cancelling my subscription.

I’ve been a ButcherBox customer for about 3 years now, and I’ve been really happy with them overall. You can definitely taste the quality of the meat, and I’ve consistently been impressed with the products.

I have had a couple of deliveries where a package was ripped or damaged, but their customer service is honestly some of the best I’ve dealt with. They make everything incredibly easy and have always taken care of the issue quickly without making it a hassle.

After 3 years, I continue ordering because of the quality and because I know that if there’s ever a problem, their customer service will make it right.

I think butcherbox is great. My only complaint would be the packages are secured with 1 strip of tape. The contents have always been fine, but the single strip of tape seems flimsy.

The meat is good. The deliveries are always on schedule.

Amazing every time

I love your products, only reason for the 4 stars is the shipping is horrible. Fed ex is always late causing food the thaw. Sometime it doesn't even make it to the house. They put the box outside a different building that is clearly not a house.

Butcherbox has been a godsend for nearly a decade for me.

Just makes everything so easy and it's so nice to not have to buy meat from the grocery store.

Butcherbox covers most everything I could want!

Over the years of course some small issues happen in delivery, but they've always made it right.

Just recently was the first time the handlers that brought the box it must've been shaken up so much that the roast, sirloin, and burger patties packaging was torn apart from repeated collision or something.

So that created a bit of a mess.

I wasn't expecting anything but I wanted to show the customer support team how bad it was with images.

And they made it right by adding replacements for those 3 in my next box.

That's stellar and I know things aren't always easy for a company like this, especially after the COVID era.

So they really are an amazing service and I will always praise them.

DO NOT BUY FROM BUTCHER BOX! Packages come ripped open, or the forget to add items that you added on, or the box comes damaged and items thaw out, or in a recent issue, items weren't delivered at all. Then they screw you over because they say it's your fault! Won't redeliver, won't refund you, won't uphold the same "deals" your ordered even "if" you decided to reorder from them anyways. There are other alternatives and save yourself from being ripped off like I and many others were.

Product was right this time, but the dry ice was non existent. The delivery driver didn't follow my explicit directions left on my notes for Butcher Box

Last night we had their filet mignon for dinner. It turned a Tuesday into a holiday! It was so tender. All their meats are excellent!

Package came on time and quality of everything was great!

They maintain an impressive variety of meat products and consistent promotional offerings, while demonstrating commendable efficiency in resolving any shipping or order-related discrepancies.
