Disaster. Avoid this company.

The delivery of their boxes and pick-up of my stuff were more or less smooth, although they missed the time slot both times. However, the return of my stuff has been a nightmare. They advertise next-day delivery so long as you order before 3 PM. When I requested the return of my things on Oct. 1, the earliest slot they could give me was Oct. 12. They've claimed to have experienced extraordinary demand and have supposedly hired some logistics company to rectify the problem, but I never received the email they promised offering to deliver my items earlier. I'm leaving the country next week and desperately need to get my things back. But customer service is hard to reach and unreliable. The only thing that seems to be reliable is their ability to bill you.
Update: After not hearing back from customer service, I went to the address on their website and demanded to speak with the boss (after wandering around people's things in their open facility completely unsupervised). He was able to change my delivery to the next day, but couldn't provide any guarantees that I would get all of my stuff.

They've lost my items

They've lost my items, kept on charging me after I've asked for things to be returned and are not responding to me at all. They've had a huge error in their systems. This could be made acceptable, however they are dealing with this horrendously - and they will do the same to you too. Avoid at all costs

AT LEAST MR TURPIN HAD THE GRACE TO WEAR A MASK...
This company took my sons boxes and money all with no issue.
Getting it back... well that was a different issue.
1st attempt - only half his boxes were returned and no info as to when and where they others would appear. They said there was an issue with lots of stock getting lost somewhere out of London in a warehouse. 3 weeks later and 2 visits to them in person he still does not have everything. Sounds to me like there is a bit of theft going on here. There is a total lack of customer service and communication. No one answers the phone and email reply are not worth the time they take to send. If 'there is an issue and they are putting in extra hours to fix the problem', their words and not mine, it would have been better to have someone answering the phone and reassuring people that they will get their stuff back instead of a crap telephone recorded message.
To add insult to injury he was then charged a second time. When queried it they said it was for box retrieval - well hello..you are a storage facility of cause things are supposed to be return. I think something really dodgy is going on here. They need investigating by trading standards. Take my advice and avoid at all costs !

It's like storing your stuff in an abyss

Bad, bad service. I quite regret doing business with these guys, and the trustpilot info on their website is not reflective of the truth. I should have checked trustpilot itself first. There seems to be no way to get in touch with anyone. Why would you trust your belongings with someone who just vanishes into thin air? I am not sure how I will be able to manage my belongings in storage with them. Difficult to book any slots - they are almost always a month away. There is also some mis-information on pricing. Not sure what is going on with this company.

Something has gone seriously wrong...

Something has gone seriously wrong with this company! They collected my things no problem. When I went to book a slot to have them dropped back, the next available slot was over a week away. Found that annoying but booked the slot. I waited in on the day and they didn't show up and they'd made no contact with me to notify that they weren't coming. Tried to call them but no answer and they're non-responsive on social media. Managed to get a reply by e-mail where they said due to logistical issues my delivery had to be pushed to the next day. I waited in for a second time only for them not to turn up AGAIN. They then said they wouldn't be coming and that no reason had been given by the operations team for this, and no indication of when I might see my belongings again. It all started so well but I would't trust them with my things again!

Great concept but

Great concept and initial contact was great, but they have issues answering the phone and getting back by email.

Really disappointed by the recent lack …

Really disappointed by the recent lack of service. We first started using these guys about a year ago, they were awesome then! But recently I'm struggling to get my stuff back, can't reach them on the phone, get limited responses to emails - it's a shambles. It feels like they've grown too quickly and now can't cope with their workload. Will sadly be taking our business elsewhere.

Delay in delivering my last box

Missing box + no response from Boxman

I still have a box undelivered by them and they are not responding to any calls or emails. This is unacceptable. My delivery was on 14 Sep and it's already 25 Sep today. Still no news or updates.

Update: Finally heard back from them on 27 and 28 Sep and received my last box today. Boxman kindly accommodated to my schedule and I'm just glad that I have everything back.

Company seems to be going into meltdown.

Just ordered a delivery of my boxes for 28th Sept (ie, 6 days from now), and told they won't be available until mid October.

Two months ago, one of my suitcases went missing for a week.

I have 7 boxes in total but only got 2 …

I have 7 boxes in total but only got 2 boxes. I called Boxman many times (3-5 times a day) and no answer. Finally they answered my call on the third day. They told me that there is a system error and many of their customers have the same issue. They said that the operators are investigating the issue and will find my remaining boxes then send it to me by calling me back and arrange the date for the delivery. However, I have my winter clothes and my uni stuff inside. The weather is getting colder and my uni is about to begin. I need my boxes back. I've been waiting for more than weeks and haven't got any calls. This made me so frustrated and losing my trust toward Boxman..... They should compensate to everyone who are waiting for the boxes to come back. Bad service and cannot be trusted anymore!!

can't get through on either email or phone. no one came to deliver my boxes today and no word from them.

edit: they eventually came to deliver my boxes at the end of the day but really if you let people choose a slot they will expect you to come during that slot or at least tell them if you are not.

A very negative experience

A very negative experience, on re-delivery of my boxes, only 6 of the 10 arrived on the re-delivery date I had requested and Boxman had been given 10 days notice of when I required them to be delivered back to me. This was a huge problem for me as I had no bedding for moving back into my house, and is certainly not the service I expected when I requested ALL boxes to be delivered together and paid £50 in re-delivery fees.

When the 6 arrived I was told to call so I could arrange re-delivery of the final boxes and I waited well over a day to have any concrete correspondence as to when my boxes would be coming back to me.

Scratched bicycles, messed up delivery times, charging too much

I stored a bicycle and 5 boxes with them for a month and made the error to rely on the experience from a friend who used them months ago and didn't check their new system again. They might have been super cheap in the past, but not anymore! But anyway, when retrieving my stuff I booked the delivery date and time a couple of days before as indicated, got a confirmation for my booking but was waiting then and had to call them a couple of times until I found out that it was updated incorrectly manually and they couldn't send it to me in the desired time. My bicycle's frame was scratched (as well my boyfriend's one who stored it with boxman as well!) and even though I was promised to get the delivery fee refunded, nothing has happened so far. Plus, they also charged me another monthly fee after I had retrieved all my stuff and had nothing in storage anymore (after they had incorrectly charged me the storage of a suitcase that was even mine!). I would never store anything with them again! Their customer service also needs improving, it is impossible to get through to them on the phone!

missing some boxes and bad service

I arranged to send back all my stuff back (8 boxes and a suitcase) yesterday. But the courier only delivered a suitcase to me without any reason and told me to call the customer service. I tried send email and call but they didn't reply until now......even pick up the call...... their service is unacceptable. And they already need me paid 45 pounds for the delivery fee. I already spent a whole day for wait their reply also I called this morning at 8am and it still no one pick up the phone. it is so ridiculous. I think I still need to spend a whole day to wait at home without any update.

missing boxes

I stored ten boxes with Boxman and select them to be delivered to me at one time. But only 5 boxes came but I was charged of £50 pounds which was for the delivery fee of ten boxes. I try to call them and was hang up on the phone and when I try to call them again, it is simply no one answers. This is very unreliable. I have used Boxman services for the last three years, previous service was all good, but this year (after they launched their new system) is just unacceptable.

15th Sept Update:
4 of the 5 missing box were delivered yesterday, but still no sign of the final box, after 4 days! They said they are trying to locate it but it just took so long, and they even do not have a specific time frame for how long it will take. Very disappointed.

Really amazed by the service boxman provides,
Better and cheaper then a self storage especially for small quantities,
Very simple and straightforward,

Excellent service

Excellent service, very easy to use and cheap.
I was worried at the beginning because it was the first time but everytime I was calling I had someone picking up and it made me more confident and relaxed about the service

The whole idea seemed confusing to me …

The whole idea seemed confusing to me at start of how I store NY stuff, how the costing is done but the staff was very helpful and explained everything to me. And I was so satisfied that I also encouraged my friends to use boxman. So all 5 of us stored with boxman. We took the biggest box deal to reduce the rate and it became extremely cheap for us. Specially with the student discount. So it is a very affordable and excellent service.

Such a good and reliable company

Such a good and reliable company! Dropped off my boxes within the time slot requested, had very helpful and polite workers that called when they arrived outside. I also love the way that the website is layed out, so easy and manageable!
