Do not use Boxman for any reason

Boxman have migrated their customer services and it is impossible to speak to anyone if you have any problems with their service which, in my experience, you are likely to have a number of. First of all, you don't actually pay for what you use, you pay a tariff depending on the number of crates they are calculating - and you will not know how many crates you have until your things reach them - quite bad if you're storing things like a sofa, chest of drawers etc and not just boxes. Even a small bag counts as a crate. So the first problem is the misleading pricing- they've now also changed their website to clarify that they will charge you for returning (again, EVERYTHING is 5£ to return), stay tuned if you'd booked a few months ago, like me, when they did not actually say that. But the main problem is not the pricing, as far as I'm concerned. It is the fact that I supposedly had all my items delivered back yesterday - yet half my stuff is missing, their delivery driver says that's all he had in the truck, and no one is picking up the phone to explain. I will update the review to discuss whether the items have been located. Thirdly, expect any of your items that do not fit in crates to be damaged - and badly so. Cannot post pictures here but my items came back full of dents, dirt and rust, as well as Boxman stickers that won't come off (placed directly on the furniture). Avoid them at all cost!!!!

I would discourage anyone from ever …

I would discourage anyone from ever using this company. I put furniture and boxes in storage. When I tried to arrange delivery of my items, I received some but not all of my things and was told by the delivery driver that the company would be in touch the following morning to arrange delivery of the remainder of my items.

The company did not call me as promised and when I tried to call them, all their lines went through to a recorded message asking me to email them. I did this, requesting a call back but they replied by email and refused to call.

I was told that I would get my items "when they were ready". My items included a bed and a dining table which mean that until they deemed that it was time to return my items, I would need to sleep on the floor/sofa and my family had to have TV dinners every evening.

When I eventually got my items back (some weeks later), they were dirty and damaged. The company also lost a component of my bed which meant I had to order replacement parts and pay £50.00 for these.

The company refuse to provide their insurance details and there has been no way of getting compensation for the damage caused.

The customer service staff are rude and have no regard whatsoever for the inconvenience and upset their poor service causes.

HORRIBLE

I have been waiting for my stuff more than TWO MONTHS. It is ridiculous.
Besides, they’ve charged me tones of money even though I don’t have my stuff. It is a joke.

DO NOT STORE ANYTHING WITH THEM OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MOST PRECIOUS BELONGINGS

Do not use their services

Do not use their services! I had to book delivery (2 hour slot) two weeks in advance and the driver was late for 5 hours! In addition, they say that they give refund for unused storage but this is not true! I sent tons of emails to them and did not get a reply. It is also impossible to reach them on the phone as they suggest to send an email to which they never respond.

I still have 3 boxes missing, they don't reply to emails and when you call them you have an automatic voice telling you to send an email.

On top of that, they are still accepting customers even though they can't deal with the ones they already have

Do not use this company

6 weeks from first request to return my things I am still missing items. Nobody replies on email and can't get through on the phone. There is a bug with website so can't log in.

The things I have had returned are damp and one bag of clothes have had to be thrown as we're growing thick mould.

Picture frames are smashed as are crockery and glasses

On top of this, somebody else's things were returned to me - containing expensive ski equipment.

The driver said the company have been unable to scale with demand and they have a warehouse full of unmarked and mixed up belongings.

All I can say is under no circumstances use this company at the moment.

Avoid at all costs.

To cut a very long story short.... They're thieves and should be avoided at all costs. If you're considering using them because they offer to collect your belongings as well as store them I would very strongly suggest hiring a man and a van and a reputable storage facility instead. I seem to have got off relatively lightly compared to others as 100% of my things were returned to me eventually, but this seems to be a rare case. If all of your things have been returned I would suggest contacting your bank to make sure Boxman don't take unauthorised payments from your account.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!
Last saturday I have scheduled a pick up for my furniture which I have listed on your website with pictures and also sent a few emails via email and fb.

On the day of pick up the boxman sent one guy who only wanted to take boxes. I spoke to someone from management team and they promised to send someone in about 5 hours with bigger car and two people able to carry heavy stuff. I waited patiently.

Again only one driver arrived with a small car wanting to pick up boxes. In the end I had to find someone last minute which cost me more as it was last minute and i haven’t heard from boxman again.

This has cost me a lot of money, time and stress - I cant understand how your company is still in business given this level of unprofessionalism.

Absolute car crash of a service

Truly horrendous experience with this company - they suffered a 'logistical issue' during my time with them in which they lost access to one of their warehouses (how does this happen?). Absolutely all contact was lost, no-one was kept in the loop, and I was left without possessions for several weeks with no knowledge of when I'd get them again. It is one thing having something unfortunate happen as a company but unforgivable to go silent. It is a shame they have ruined their reputation as (despite collections and deliveries not really being on time) their service would have been a very useful one. I would avoid.

Boxman has ignored most of my calls and e-mails for the past two months when I've tried to contact them about a missing box they have never delivered.
When I requested a reimbursement for the items in the box they simply said I would have to wait until the box is found and then compensation can be discussed (**mind you these are valuables I urgently need and have purchased replacements for + have waited for 2 months and have yet to be told about a concrete resolution of this matter**)
I have multiple friends who have used their service and every single one of them has an issue of getting their boxes delivered or their boxes have gone missing.

STORE YOUR VALUABLES ELSEWHERE.

Absolute worst delivery company we have …

Absolute worst delivery company we have used. My fiancee used this company to store 10 boxes and furniture for a month, but they have been unable to return our items. We are now bedless and dining table less. They delivered half the items with some other customer's items and when they redelivered they again had only a portion of the total items. The worst part of their service is that they have an automated reponse on their phone lines and do not get back to emails. They have buried their heads in the sand and expect customers to wait however long it takes them to resolve. No communication from them except to say that they will work on it and get us our items. With no timeline given. Do not use this companies' services!

worst storage company I have used

worst storage company I have used. NO communication from customer service. Have been trying to retrieve my stuff for over 2 weeks now, need my items urgently. No one answers the phone, no replies to emails. Never notified me of a issue with my card till 3 months after storage. The same problem happened to a friend of mine. Awful service. DO NOT USE!

They’ve lost 2 out of 21 boxes

They’ve lost 2 out of 21 items I’ve stored with them. One has been missing for a month and a half and I continue to chase Boxman for updates and receive no response. On top of that, they still charged me the £5 retrieval fee for the missing box! I’m paying storage fees for boxes they may have lost. You’ll end up regretting your decision to store with them.

5 weeks without my items

I don't usually like to complain in the public domain as I think issues should be solved with companies, but not really sure what else I can do.
I have been 5 weeks without my items. Have sent over 15 emailed and called over 7 times, and have not received any useful answer (only along the lines of we will get back to you as soon as we can).
They continue charging me for the storage, and when I cancelled the payment they locked me out of my account. So now, not only I don't have my items, but I also don't have access to my account.
Great idea, disastrous management. Avoid at all costs, worth paying slightly more for this service from another provider as at least you will get your service.

Poor service to the point of fraudulent.

Appalling service. Acts like a company that's happy to go out of business.

The online tracking interface is broken - it doesn't accurately show what's been delivered and what's in storage - and they don't acknowledge this or seem to be doing anything to fix it.

The company doesn't answer the phone and they don't answer emails, no matter how many messages you send or how often you call.

I'm still waiting, after six weeks, for items to be returned.

Avoid dealing with the company at all costs.

Dissappointed

I’ve used boxman before and had no problems with it, this time however has been a completely different story. My boxes remained undelivered until I physically went to one of their warehouses and spoke to a representative. Getting the empty boxes collected has also been a mission and I recently got charged although I haven’t got anything in storage! Terribly dissappointed. There is no way I will be using this company again.

Poor customer service and no update

They told me that they got some problems in the warehouse, so they may deliver my boxes late, but the biggest problem is that they did not give me the exact date and it has been a month already. The most unacceptable thing is that no one picks up any calls and they do not reply to any emails.

One thing I advise others to do is that you can come to their head office and talk about that. I have tried that before and it worked for once. Still, three boxes are yet to be delivered. Once again, don't trust this company coz it is really poor.

The worst customer service ever

The worst customer service ever, one star is even generous for them. Before everything went wrong with them, they offered not too bad service, but since the mid of September something went extremely wrong with them and the way they deal with it is sooooooo bad!!! Seriously, if there's something wrong with your business at least shows your customer your sincere apology not ignore your customer and cause so many inconvenience and unpleasant experiences. I am sure there's much better way to deal with this situation and you just suck at it.

They've charged me wrong number of returned items, one item is still missing, they didn't return to me. While i was trying to get in touch with them with no response, they charged me again for an entire package and then I tried to contact them through Twitter more than a week ago, still no response. They did horrible service, they charged me more than I should pay and they falsely charged me again for the invisible service and during this whole time no one response my email and twitter....I just can't believe them.

Please don't use this company, there are other choices.

Quick update - Boxman finally emailed to apologise for gross negligence in response to my Tweet. Still no response to my original email or further Tweet. Have tried to call multiple times a day for five days to get through. Futhermore, they charged my card for another month during my complaint. Furthermore, shocking Boxman still have 'Trustpilot *****' reviews quoted on their landing site, despite have widespread issues with missing items and week+ return times, which are not in line with their customer promise. False advertising, gross negligence.

Extremely bad service

Their service is extremely bad. When they first came to pick up my stuff, they arrived several hours later respect to the spot I booked at the price 30£.
They were firstly supposed to bring my stuff back on the 27th of September, and they didn't. I tried to call to ask motif of the disservice and discovered they are not accepting any calls. So I went in person to their deposit in London and they told me that they don't answer calls to avoid waste of time due to annoying clients. Then the manager of the deposit promised me he would accelerated the process in order to have my items back within three days, but of course this did not happen.
Finally I booked another spot on the website (12th October the earliest available), they were supposed to bring me all my belongings, but they only delivered 1 out of 3.
Part of the items in the only box I received back are damaged.

Definitely suggest to avoid them. There are several other companies I heard (and visited the websites as well) that offer the same service at the same price or so, but which actually offer the service you would expect.
