Used Compare site and found Zenith covered my requirements at a competitive rate. Easy to set up and access. Not yet effective, therefore, cannot comment on service, should I need to make a claim.

Terrible trying to get through to them is a nightmare, they seem to want you to chat to a bot, shop around for better.

AVOID AT ALL COST

Useless customer service, call centre in india that cannot even get registration numbers correct you spend ages on the phone repeating yourself. AVOID AT ALL COST. May be the cheapest but absolutely shocking i certainly wouldn't like to rely on them if i needed them. Reported to the ombudsman. 4 HOURS OF MY LIFE WASTED DONT WASTE YOURS

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. Customer service team hang up on you, you send them proof of no claims used on another policy they decline it without even notifying you and then email the day before Christmas Eve to say they need to speak to you and all th relevant departments are closed. Refuse to put you through to a manager or anyone that can advise on anything.

Absolute shambles of an insurance…

Absolute shambles of an insurance company cancelled my policy because I didn’t tell them I had insurance cancelled when I never and it was a renew
Tryed to speak to someone on the phone but couldn’t understand them and they couldn’t understand me Really would not use this company ever again

Just don't use them, it's not worth it

A terrible experience from start to finish. Despite providing my proof of no claims several times, spending hours on hold, and using multiple formats, they now want to increase my premium or charge a cancellation fee. Save yourself the time, and use a proper company.

I’m very disappointed with my…

I’m very disappointed with my experience with Zenith Insurance. The customer service was very poor overall. I tried using the virtual/online chat and waited around 20 minutes just to get a reply, which is unacceptable when you need timely assistance.
Changing my car on the policy was also extremely expensive due to very high administration charges. In fact, it worked out cheaper to take out a brand-new policy with another provider rather than update my existing one, which says a lot.
Speaking to a human advisor wasn’t much better. Communication was difficult, and it was hard to clearly understand the representative, which made the process more frustrating than it needed to be.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not use Zenith Insurance again or recommend them to others.

Waiting that long for a response on online chat is frustrating, especially when you need help quickly, and we apologise for the delay you experienced. We’re also sorry to hear your concerns regarding the cost of changing your vehicle and the administration charges involved. We understand how disappointing it is when updating an existing policy feels more expensive than taking out a new one elsewhere.

It’s also concerning to hear that communication with an advisor wasn’t clear or helpful, as we know how important this is when resolving policy matters.

Partial refund but still think online changes should be free

I had previously left a negative review re fees and charges for amendments and cancellation. I was promptly contacted by customer services who did offer a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill. I was of course grateful for this offer and will receive £35 back out of £85 fees that were charged. Customer service maintained that the fee was inline with their policy but I just felt that they should re look at this as £85 of fees to change a REG and cancel is ALOT.

I do still maintain that simple amendments should be able to be done online without being penalised with a fee like many other insurance providers offer. This, I feel, would be more fair and lead to customer loyalty and retention.
I can see that fees seems to be a common disgruntlement from customers from previous reviews and it’s a shame that this company don’t seem to listen to these reviews as they probably would retain ALOT more customers if they did.

I therefore have amended my review to mid stars rather than one star. I do appreciate the company reaching out and partially resolving my complaint.

Shameful company

They took out our money for auto renewal, even though we said we didn’t want auto Renew! They said we have to wait 7 days to get our money back. Still no refund after a week , Second phone call and the say we have to wait another 7 days
We are pensioners and can’t afford to be messed about like this, money is very short for us , but they don’t care. I’m disgusted with this company. You took it out at a click of a button , but takes you 2 weeks to put it back . Absolutely ridiculous. Beware of this company, it’s shameful.

Very easy to get cover online

Very easy to get cover online. Easy site to navigate and saved over £100 with tool insurance included. As renewing insurance goes it was a pleasant experience.
