I've ordered from them loads of times on Instagram, through the website and bought from the stalls run at conventions. I've only ever experienced one issue with an order missing something which was resolved without any hassle at all. While it is sometimes a shame to have your comment for a claim drowned out by the many others when attempting to order through the IG page, it's fair enough in my opinion given the size of the staff. Any DM enquiries have been answered politely and within a fair time frame, even special requests for items not listed. Genuinely a great service if you don't want to pay stupid amounts for shipping and customs fees when buying anime merch/kawaii stuff.

Great personal service as I believe it is all ran by 1 woman, feels good to support small businesses. Had a friendly and pleasant experience IRL at MCM comic con.
Has lots of interesting / more obscure / hard to find items from japan that you wouldn't find elsewhere in the UK. Trustworthy seller that has only authentic genuine items.
Amazing prices considering the state of the 2ndhand figure market, I like buying through her as it means I don't have to calculate customs or international shipping.
To buy something you comment on an insta post, DM paypal email, then she sends you an invoice. Personally I find this simple enough but I can see how some people may see this as disorganised or confusing.
Items are sold first come first served but such is life and that seems the fairest way to do it IMO.
Overall me and all my friends who buy through her have had positive experiences, do recommend :)

I regularly shop with yykawaii and i’ve never had any issues. she is a lovely seller who works extremely hard for her business. she always ships things very quickly and always packages the items really well. i would recommend her to anyone who likes anime, or sanrio or asian merch and snacks!!

I have order a couple times from this lovely person and I recommend it buy from the site. Everything is legit and great quality. Shipping is on time.
Communication is good. You can even pay half and half on arrival for pre orders wich is great.
I will be ordering more in the future.

I'm only a more recent customer but I've brought a fair amount from YYKawaii and can honestly and truly say they are nothing but lovely, very helpful, hard-working (especially having to juggle a business and a family life!), and very professional.
Had an order where the product arrived broken, opened communication and it was all handled and sorted with a replacement quickly and easily.
Without YYKawaii I wouldn't be able to get my hands on half the products and merchandise I love so much.

One lady running a business and making time for their family in between it all. Genuinely one of my favourite small businesses to shop with. :) 💖

Terrible service. Terrible owner.

Look I know it's taboo to give someone two starts when you hate their service. But the service SHE provides isn't that bad. It's the owner.

I've bought from YY since 2018. My first few purchases went fine. Then I started realizing how much she charges for items you can find online for half the price. And I promise you can find everything she sells for a lower price elsewhere.

The owner of yykawaii couldn't give less of a crap towards her customers. And I'm not the only one who has had this issue. She talks down to the people who purchases from her and is incredibly cynical in all instagram dms. She sends out her bootlicker followers to send out positive reviews but that will NOT change her p!
ss-poor behavior towards her paying customers.

She has deleted comments calling out her price gouging and blocked people for speaking out against her while they still have items they purchased from her. She refuses to give out tracking information and never asks if you would like it. She doesn't give refunds if the product doesn't arrive, never makes the situation any better, and makes the customer feel like its their fault. She also never gives updates on items when asked.. She is one of the WORST sellers I've ever had the misfortune of purchasing merchandise from and I hope people see this and learn from it.

I understand she has a family. And I understand she's homeschooling two kids. That doesn't give her the right to act so awful to the people who purchase from her.

Please don't purchase from YY. Save your money. Buy from other places. Please. Your wallet will thank you.

EDIT 1: Dropping my review to 1 star instead of two. The fact that she is refusing to read negative comments because she thinks they are "hate" is a massive red flag. We are pointing out things that could genuinely help her business. She has customers that aren't happy and she couldn't care LESS.

Started using her this year for pokemon products so far i had no issues with her she is kind and polite. What people need to realise is she is a small business doing it herself while looking after her family which is hard alone. Definitely will keep using her business for pokemon goods onwards! Thank you for everything!

I’ve never had a bad experience with YYKawaii! All the items sold are officially licensed and there’s such a great selection as well. The items are always shipped quickly and safely to me.

Yes there may be the odd time where you have to message/comment more than once but people have to understand that you’re only human and as a small business owner myself, it can be extremely overwhelming and difficult at times.

That said, I continue to use YYKawaii now and will for a long time to come!

I have been buying from YYKawaii for around about 8years now. I didnt find out about her until I moved to Germany.

She is super reliable, very helpfull and super efficent.
I have never once had a problem with buying from her.
Over the years I have asked for special requests and if it is in her power she will alwaya make it happen.
Ordering/pre-ordering is super easy with her and I have never once had a problem with delieveries even after Brexit!

I would recommend her to anyone and everyone she is an incredibly hard working person and she juggles her buisness with being a momma which lets face it isnt always easy!

Again I love her and recommend her to everyone!

I’ve bought from this shop many many times. Every single time the Invoice has been sent super quick and then I’ve got my items as soon as they arrive. She is so friendly and so great I know I will continue to use in the future. The products themselves are AMAZING so so cute and exactly as she describes/ shows them on her Instagram. Couldn’t speak more highly!

I have been shopping with YY Kawaii for a couple of years now and there are so many issues with the business that she runs. Firstly, she is incredibly disorganised. She doesn't keep track of invoices; sometimes she will send you one and sometimes she won't, and sometimes she will send you another customer's invoice. The main way to order items is through her Instagram account by commenting on a post. Sometimes she will ignore your comment so that you never even get a chance to order that item. I recently commented on a new post for a figure which was on pre-order, and she never replied to mine and other's comments; I even commented a second time if I could pre-order the item and was ignored. Another issue is the lack of communication when you do order an item. It is up to you to chase her on invoices and the shipping status of an item. She has also recently decided that customers are responsible for setting their own reminders on invoices rather than her sending them out herself. Personality wise, she is rude and entitled and acts like a spoilt child when things don't go her way or when people call her out on it. If you have an issue with an order and message her about it, you will either be ignored or have rude comments made towards you. She will also block you if you have an issue with her, rather than trying to solve the issue her customers have which is extremely unprofessional and exhausting to deal with. There is no process in her 'business' that allows you to make a complaint without messaging her as her email is not accessible via her website, so any issue you do have will be met with resistance. Thank you for reading, please use another proxy service other than YY Kawaii as you are bound to have a nicer experience and spend less money.
