After purchasing my M2 in 2021 March…
After purchasing my M2 in 2021 , I thanked for my custom.
I now have to advise that we contacted them a year later for another car. I am still waiting for the call back 1 year later post 2022.
I was then contacted by Williams BMW Stockport to see if I was interested in part exchanging my M2 in October 2022. At the time, it was not convenient. I then went through their website to obtain an evaluation .They rang me to gauge if I was interested in buying another car from them, they contacted me, and I liased with the
salesman who was going to obtain some figures through BMW finance for me, and yet again, I am still waiting for a call back 3 weeks later .By the way, I have now sold my car to Strastone Derby, who has been awesome.

I recently purchased a BMW 8 series from BMW Manchester (Trafford) and found the whole experience to be first class from start to finish.
Adam Graham was the Executive who looked after me and whilst having only recently joined BMW, showed a skillset to get a deal completed quickly and professionally.
From financing, communication through to general administration he couldn't have done more.
Kudos to the BMW team for also spending time with my son during our visits, letting him into the I8 (his dream car) that they had on sale he'll remember for quite some time!

I bought a Audi s3 in October when I came to collect it it had 2 miles of petrol they didn't even give me enough fuel to get to the petrol station second after a week I noticed the four-wheel drive system was a working and there's a fault with the gearbox they took it off me they said they were talking it to Audi down the rd they took it to specialist a little tiny garage they fixed the four wheel drive and in instead of looking at the gearbox they put a clutch kit in got it back the same thing with the gearbox I had it will the sales man the manger is a joke they say they going to sort it out the phone down never ring you back also when I got the car I was told it came with satnav then they said the SD card gone missing they ordered me one still waiting 5 months down the line and av paid cash for the car also I worked for this company for over 12 years they are the biggest joke of a company please stay away from them they will tell you what you wanna hear I give the 0 for customer service
I bought my used BMW from Williams
I bought my used BMW from Williams! I’ve only had it 2 years ! 2018 reg my engine has seized!! Williams’s will not help! Rude staff !! Obviously a faulty part!!! I’ve had services up to date ! But they still will no except any responsibility for selling bad cars !!! A car with 38k miles should not have complete engine failure!! Stay away from Williams!!!
Our company part exchanged a car with…
Our company part exchanged a car with Williams select last year and we have had nothing but problems, due to there lack of admin the first problem was they didn’t transfer the car we part exchanged with to the new owner and a couple of months later we was receiving letters from debt collection agency in regards to the vehicle being on the road and not being taxed. The second issue which we had was with the one of the cars we received in the deal which we had a parking fine, which we are not disputing the problem is Williams select transferred the parking fine to a unknown address which then incurred more charges we didn’t know about. I have spoken to williams to try and come to some sort of resolution to no avail. All around bad customer service and would not recommend williams select to anyone in the future.

My vehicle went in for the manufacturers starter motor rework recall on my hybrid vehicle, after this job was completed by said garage electric drive does not work and no heat is coming from heaters, after returning the car to them about these issues i was told to pay £900 and they will investigate the problem further (this is not to fix the issues, that is added later) there explanation was its coincidental timing, my vehicle drove to this garage on electric and when i collected the vehicle its not worked since, that is not coincidental timing that is the job has been done incorrectly and if that’s not bad enough in the same conversation i was then asked if i would be interested in buying another vehicle from them, Really???
You would think that by taking your vehicle to the main dealer then your vehicle is in safe hands but evidently not, the technician that worked on my car spent the whole first day trying to work out why my car doesn’t charge during the day, this is because its set to night charging only, I think we can all see where the problem is don’t you?
Max at Williams…
Dealt with Max today at Williams Trafford Centre re. software upgrade for emissions as part of EGR recall. Customer service was excellent throughout. Kept me informed of progress and completed extra vehicle check and valet FoC. Very courteous staff and went extra mile to get it done in good time.
Unhelpful, lying, unprofessional...
Unhelpful, lacking in basic knowledge, rude and prone to lying.
Dont ever buy a used 'approved' BMW from this supplier they sell unchecked and unwarranted vehicles which cause real stress and problems. Their staff are not willing to help, openly lie on service and warranty records and simply don't give a toss once your money is in their back pocket.
This is like stepping back to buying cars in the 70's/80's, dodgy salesman and dodgy cars and no one wanting to take any form of responsibility. If you want a BMW I'd suggest Sytner Group in Coventry who have put right all that Williams Stockport refused to.
My experience with Williams BMW…
My experience with Williams BMW Manchester was extremely disappointing
In the first instance I was offered a finance rate of 11.9%. I challenged that rate and was advised that 8.9% could be an option. The business manager then applied for the 8.9% - £80pm less than what was initially quoted. This rate was offered then rescinded.
When I picked the car up I was advised the car would be checked over and released to me with a full charge. It wasn’t, it had 25% charge in it.
My wife drove the car away, she called me within 5 minutes, not only to say there was only 25% charge, but also that she has been greeted by warning messages asking to stop the car because the tyre pressures were low. It wasn’t a matter of me simply resetting them because 3 of them were 10psi too low and the 4th was 11psi too low. I had to take the car to a garage to get air put in them, which cleared the message. This was done within an hour of picking the car up.
The post sale response was ‘we’ll learn from our mistakes for future customers’ and ‘did you manage to reset the pressure system’. No goodwill gesture, support or admission of the problem. Effectively they said it was my problem to sort.
In summary my buying experience with Williams BMW Manchester was poor, at best. Without my intervention I would have a ‘new’ car with 4 underinflated tyres, and 25% battery charge. I would have also paid an excess payment of £80pm more for the finance (over 4 years £3840.00) and got £2000.00 less for my car than I got myself (which is another story)
My advice would be to tread carefully with Williams Manchester and take independent advice on what they tell you. If you do go ahead, shop around for finance (try fastnfunded ), and do not trust what they tell you about them checking the car over before pickup. Take it for a drive before you hand over your money on the day of pick up.
Once you’ve driven the car away, they are simply not interested. Very arrogant response when i challenged them, just a fob off of excuses.
On a positive note I really like the BMW 330e which is a credit to the manufacturer not the dealership.
Just awful
Just awful. They could see no problem with a situation where they would need to keep my car for six weeks because I have an electrical problem but they have a backlog on an unrelated recall so they would just let it sit at the centre while they waited to get round to it. When I asked if they had other solutions they just tried to get me to bring the car in. Manager callback promised but never received. Avoid this firm like the plague, now on the phone to BMW UK.
Awful customer service & communication
This was my third annual service with BMW Williams in Trafford Park and I have to say I was astonished by how bad the experience was.
The previous two years were during the ‘Covid years’ (2020 & 2021) and they went relatively smooth so I was not expecting this appalling experience now, post those Covid challenges.
My car was booked in for a major service & recall (software update), and I noted that the break pads had flagged up, plus a tyre valve needed replacement. I should add that I needed an MOT which I had not prior advised (my fault).
I dropped the car off at 8am and was asked if I could pick up around 5pm. I thought ‘no problem’, I work nearby so I could do my days work and pick up at the end of the day, with minimal fuss as they had the full day to do the works.
At 3pm I got a phone call to say they’d just carried out their initial checks and they would not have time remaining that day to do the works (they’d had my car since 8am!). To make matters worse, they could not release my car due to being BMW policy not to release cars with a recall notice attaching. To compound matters they had no courtesy cars available. It was only when I strongly complained that they made a courtesy car available, which I agreed to drop back at 8am on Day 2.
Day 2 - I drop the courtesy car back and I’m assured that the works will be completed that morning. At 12.30pm I get a text message saying “we tried to contact you” (I had no missed calls and they later admitted that they didn’t try to contact me) and the message was vague and unclear, making reference to not being able to do all the works agreed, and they’d have no availability in the whole month of December to complete.
Needless to say I was extremely frustrated at this point and rang their Customer Service to let them know that I would call into store in the next 30 mins and that I wished to speak with a Director. When I got there, there was no Director available, with only one onsite that day and he was too busy. I did get speaking with a senior manager, Charlotte, who did listen to me and was honest and forthcoming with my issues. I stayed in branch for the next 3 hours until my works were complete (I had no confidence that ‘once out of sight, I’d be out of mind’) and Charlotte made sure I was looked after during this time.
Whilst I’m store, I overheard that this is a daily reoccurrence and that the Directors & Senior Managers do not listen or care. Every day clients are let down and this is a big frustration for the Sales team, as it’s the after service side of the business that is appalling.
In total, the bill came to over £1400 (zero discount offered) and two days later, I had my car back. I get that issues do arise but it was the lack of communication and good/honest customer service that really frustrated me. BMW is a premium brand the after service is not matching of this.
My learning - do not use BMW Williams and if doing so, insist on a ‘drop & wait’ morning slot. If you be helpful and agree to pick up later, they put you on the bottom of the list for the day and you could get bumped to the next day like me.
No reply back no business
Negotiations got to stage of part exchange value then salesman never came back with a valuation.......... Plenty of other dealers so take business elsewhere.
Shocking customer service at Bolton…
Shocking customer service at Bolton Branch.
My X3 was recalled for software update. Numerous attempts to book the vehicle in on-line and over the telephone. Despite promises to return calls they never got back to me. In desperation i visited the branch personally and booked in for 23.11.22. I was told the car was required all day. Dropped it off at 08.45.
At 15.20 received a phone call informing me the vehicle was unlikely to be seen and they would like to keep it overnight! I refused as I needed the car the following day. After the call I spoke with my wife and by making some changes to our diary. I tried to speak with customer service to say I was prepared to leave the car overnight and pick it up the following afternoon. After 3 calls to the service team which went unanswered I spoke to a receptionist who said she would email the service team and ask someone to call as soon as they could. Given the circumstances I asked for a call back before close of business. I was told bluntly someone would call when they could!
Thirty minutes later I received a call from the technician who had rang earlier with the message that the software had been updated and the vehicle was ready for collection! This was less than an hour after the earlier call saying it would not be done today.
Williams Customer Service has to be the worst I have encountered and I would never buy another BMW.

Williams Mini / BMW in Rochdale
Had an issue but the dealership sorted it - good customer service.
No customer service, avoid!
No customer service, still waiting for a call back, no one answers the phone and voicemail inbox is full so can't leave a message, avoid BMW Williams,
Poor Service.
Tried to book a recall for my 335D but they told me no courtesy car for recalls and put the phone down. Very rude staff. Booked in Chester instead with free courtesy car next month without asking for one. Customer service here is awfull.
Bought a Mini Cooper from these guys a…
Bought a Mini Cooper from these guys a few months ago absolutely ripped off - paid equivalent of full retail price for what was a three year old car it’s been back 3 times already totally poor quality sales team, incompetent mechanics only the service people on the desk are. Nice and willing to help. I would never buy from Williams ever again for a company that sells a prestigious product, they really need to invest in the training of customer service for management and sales force (especially in Mini) we had planned to buy a brand new BMW X2 next year through Williams but will now look to another brand. I really found it hard to score one star out of five, it’s a poor operation for me.
Williams Stockport Mini - Not Impressed!
Williams Stockport Mini.
Bought a 2.5 year old approved mini, the deal over the phone that was promised vanished after our a hour drive to view the car so we ended up in catch 22 and paid over the previously agreed price. Ususal someone else is interested pressure etc (did not fall for that one). However after a couple of months a minor issue appeard, took it to another Williams dealership who said all was fine but noticed brake fluid was low and some other minor things were low but did not top up or resolve. We were away on holiday (all this is within 4/5 months of purchase) and received a call from the salesman who admitted their pre sale car preparation guy had not done his job correctly as everything should have lasted (topped up etc) for at least 12 months. He said call him upon our return to resolve, we called and mailed - ignored, finally got through and were told to email his manager - no reply, phoned and told someone would look into it, they emailed saying could not see an issue (we appreciate minor issues but why did these arise in the first place) and too much time had elapsed since purchase....Well to cut a longer story short, we are very dissapointed with Williams Stockport and their staff, prices told over the phone are not honoured and they basicaly wash their hands of you and ignore you post purchase, happy to take your cash and salesmans commission but thereafter customers are ignored. Purchase elsewhere!
Safety recall on car and offered £30…
Safety recall on car and offered £30 for a taxi instead of a courtesy car for their poor installations. Yeah that £30 will get me all round the north west won’t it? Poor effort BMW.
