From first contact to purchase of our MG HS Trophy Ryan from Vospers MG Exeter was efficient, professional and was obviously extremely knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the MG brand. Ryan explained everything concisely and was always available to answer our questions. The deal agreed for our part exchange was fair and favourable when compared to other offers. Warranty is useless!
Unfortunately, I was sold a faulty car. Reported excessive oil usage after 4 months of having the car. They took it back straight away, and in terms of customer service, I couldn't fault them. However, they had my car for 4 months (I did have a courtesy car) and decided the issue had 'righted itself' after driving it for 1200 miles. I trusted them, and took the car back, 3 months later, and several top ups of oil, I decided the car was still not right. I had the car independently checked by a certified MOT tester and it failed the emissions test, and was advised the catalytic converter is failing due to excessive oil consumption (this should be covered in the warranty according to the small print). Vospers plymouth took it back again, and drive it for an hour or so, and decided it was fine. The sales and service team in the ford part were lovely, and did try to help, but the sales managers would not accept the car was faulty and said there was nothing more they could do, even though, just a week before this, they were searching for a replacement vehicle for me due to me not being happy with this one. I took out a loan to pay for this car, and unfortunately, will be spending some time paying this off, and driving a faulty car that will not pass its MOT next month. Would not recommend!

Good experience buying 2nd hand car
Recently bought a three year old fiesta from Vospers Exeter. Ashley was both helpful and professional throughout. After we had chosen the preferred car, I noticed a small problem with the paintwork at the rear. Ashley raised the matter before I did and arranged for a day in the body shop at a time convenient to us. Good customer service. And the car is lovely.

Vospers purchase of second hand car
Extremely disapppinted, arranged to have a test drive and pick up car on Wednesday 1st April only to find out they couldn’t tax the vehicle as it was a Motability vehicle with no V5! Document! I had arranged insurance ready to pick up the vehicle! Wasted trip to Plymouth . Will now have to wait 4 to 6 weeks before I can pick up the vehicle! Not very good service at all! This should have been all sorted ready for the customer to collect vehicle!

This place has really gone down hill. The products have been good but the way staff are treated is not good. I recently visited the Plymouth branch and was shocked to hear how management spoke to staff

Neglect as I see it
Booked in for Abarth service. Paid 800 pounds on last one so I was a bit weary of this current service. Greeted by lovely service reception person who was kind and helpful. Collected my car, paid. Drove home. Two days later received a service report with photos advising Urgent repair 'nail in back tyre'! Like are you joking. They released my Abarth from a service and let me drive it around for over 2 days before telling me by text. I see this as neglect plain and simple.
8.4.26 : I will never go back to Vospers.

From my initial phone call enquiry about a used car to John A at Vospers Exeter my experience was professional and stress free.
John initially provided me with a video of the car I was interested in purchasing as I was travelling from Bristol and didn’t want to waste my time if the car wasn’t suitable for me.
Throughout my whole experience John was extremely professional, helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
I did buy the car and John has also provided great after sales customer service as-well.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Vospers to my friends and family when purchasing a car.

Mike Jones is just the person you need when buying a car. Mike was polite, extremely patient and not pushy at all. Mike explained everything in detail and was very knowledgable.
After reserving a car online Mike sent a video and kept in contact throughout the process. Both viewing the car and the handover experience were made simple and straightforward. Throughout the process I was made to feel welcome. A few minor issues after purchase were resolved by Mike swiftly. The overall experience was positive and I would definitely return.
