Terrible experience — be careful before booking!

My friend and I accidentally purchased four tickets and wanted a refund for two of them. However, we were told that we had selected the wrong date. We ended up being charged around $800 for tickets that were originally $600, leaving us with a total loss of approximately $1,400.

The customer service and overall experience have been extremely disappointing. We lost a significant amount of money over an honest mistake, and the situation was very frustrating.

I would not recommend this website. Please double-check everything before booking to avoid a similar experience.

An absolute nightmare from start to finish.

I purchased tickets in January for $500 and was charged another $500 in fees, on top of what I already considered an inflated resale price. For that kind of money, you would expect a straightforward process and competent support.

Despite chasing Viagogo countless times, I didn’t receive the tickets until the day before the event, 10 MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED. Their response was that tickets could be delivered right up until the day of the event, as though that makes the uncertainty acceptable. Who wants to spend months wondering if tickets they've paid for will actually arrive!?

I had since resold the tickets, so I had buyers understandably chasing me for delivery. I was stuck in the middle, unable to give them certainty while repeatedly chasing Viagogo myself. The stress and hours spent trying to sort this out were ridiculous.

Throughout the entire ordeal, support amounted to repetitive corporate responses: “according to our policy”, “we understand this must be frustrating” and apologies that resolved nothing. Explaining a policy over and over is not the same as helping a customer.

A convoluted, confusing, poorly thought out process with staggering fees and no meaningful support. I paid $1,000 and then spent hours doing the chasing and managing the fallout myself.

Bought tickets in FEBURARY for an event in OCTOBER. First of all the tickets arrived 2 weeks later than they were supposed to- 2 days before the event, causing me high stress. Then the email with the tickets told me that the delivery process and been "conveniently changed" from a ticketek transfer to a pdf file, and everyone I've talked to about viagogo have told me its a major red flag if the tickets come as pdf screenshots... which they did. There were very limited seats on ticketek left so to avoid more stress and uncertainty I purchased proper more expensive tickets from there. As a result I am hundreds of dollars out of pocket thanks to this joke of a ticket website. Please take my advice and NEVER use viagogo.

Amazing experience. I thought that the side view wouldn’t be so good but when we arrived and watched the show, it was as close as you could get to see Olivia Dean, the sound acoustics were amazing, great for photographs and video quality. Thank you for letting me experience that once in a lifetime moment viagogo.

This is my 2nd time using Viagogo and I would use them again. got a ticket to olivia Dean at the last minute it was excellent

​My boyfriend bought two tickets to Strummingbird for over $700 (including high service fees) for my Birthday as I always wanted to see Post Malone. When the main act had to pull out and was replaced by an artist I didn't know, the official Strummingbird event organisers offered full refunds to attendees who no longer wished to go. However, Viagogo refused to facilitate a refund.

I brought lion king tickets for November paid nearly $1000 money came out. No email confirmation was received. Ai assistance was totally crap wen I finally was able to speak to a human I was told my tickets purchase didn't go thru and need to speak to my bank about refund. Wen I rang them.back to get details of date they refunded my money using the same details I used to verify it was me on the original two times I had to speak to an actual human. All of a sudden I failed there verification questions and hung up on I was more than polite n patient both times asked to speak to a manager only to be hung up on again. I saved for weeks to get these tickets and while my bank is now investigating the transaction I have little hope that I will see my money again made me not want to book anything online again. Don't use viagogo.

Never ever give this service your money.

You will over pay for tickets a year before the event. Spend days trying to get them delivered however they can resell them on their platform at a much lower price.

They will hang up on you - you may or may not get your tickets on the afternoon of the event. I am reporting them. If you want to lose $500 - I recommend

Was good, ordered some tickets for Olivia dean got them and they worked perfectly prices were quite dear but for last minute tickets viagogo is perfect!!

Really good price on the parking passes. Had to call as the instructions said to scan ticket and there was no bar or QR code. Smooth transaction overall and great price.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I purchased concert tickets in December 2025 for an event in October 2026. On the actual day of the concert, they sent an email stating, "Your seller has informed us that they are having difficulty providing the tickets you originally ordered." They held onto my money for 10 months, only to cancel at the very last minute when it was too late to make other arrangements. Absolutely unacceptable service and zero reliability.

You rip off pigs. The price shown for purchasing tickets was $ 330-odd. The transaction went through at $881.32.
I immediately went to the bank and was told they could not do anything.
Ombudsman, here I come.

Deceit, thief, SCAMMMMMMM. Do not use Viagogo

When I searched an event I wanted to attend, viagogo came up as a sponsored result. As I hadn't attended the venue before I went with viagogo, as I assumed they were linked to the venue. When I got to paying for the tickets, I noticed that the price was $120.00 higher than expected. There was a $60.00 postage and handling fee PER TICKET, for two tickets that were going to be delivered electronically. I cancelled the transaction and bought the tickets at face value from Ticketek.

Check the fees. I had $114 added to a $200 ticket.
Wasn't told until after the purchase went through.
But I do have a ticket to a sold out event.

Was sceptical ar first using Viagogo but can honestly now use with confidence. Yes you pay more but thats what you get when you miss out original sale. I've used it for two completely different events, major soccer game Germany major concert in Paris and both were seamless and any questions were answered promptly. Will definitely use again and can recommend.

Bought the tickets just to be told they were unavailable the day before. all the replacement options were significantly worse and they do not refund you for the difference. so if you swap to worse tickets you can lose hundreds. would never recommend anyone use this garbage site.

Fake tickets were sold to me and we couldn’t enter the concert. We were rejected entry at the door of the event. Customer service has not replied to my refund request for over a week even though the site says they’ll reply within 24hours. Frauds

Useless follow up, hidden cost with only suppling child tickets payed over 600 when only 250 through the event arena. Can’t get refund and tickets in someone else name so can’t pay more to change into adult. No description of tickets first instance. I’d say almost fraud. Do yourself a favour go through the venue. 200% profit handling fees

If I could give zero, I would. Absolutely disgraceful scam artists, refusing to give me a refund. I went straight through Ajust, who have assured me I have a significantly strong case against them, and it will be furthered to consumer affairs if they fail to refund me. Utter scum.
