Everything is OK until things don't work
Things generally work ok until they don't. Their AML controls are strangely bureaucratic. I won't say conservative because in some areas, they are surprisingly liberal and in others, strangely conservative. I have a compliance background myself and many of their rules make absolutely no sense to me. But, beyond this, they absolutely cannot manage international payments and the aftermath of payment failures. Explanations provided by them are meaningless and unhelpful and I have had enough heartache with them to justify moving my family's banking relationship to a bank that is actually able to manage international payments better and with less uncertainty. Finally, I am growing increasingly uneasy about keeping our life savings in the US with recent events showing that this is an unreliable jurisdiction.
