Have to pay £6 something for a kids…
Have to pay £6 something for a kids burger that would not be enough to fill a 2 year old shocking never seen such a small burger in my 40+ years of existence would advise anyone with kids to go else where could upload a photo make my thumb and index finger into a circle and don't touch the side of the burger joke isn't it
TGI Fridays UK /Halifax
Food and drink was so expensive! We went to the TGI at broad street plaza in Halifax. And cocktails 2 for £16 is so much money especially as you have to have the same cocktail! Why can’t you have two different ones? Also nearly £20 for just some chicken fingers and chips , we should have gone to KFC for half the price ! Our bill came to £100!! For just a couple
Of drinks. One starter and two mains! We won’t be coming again now the prices are just to expensive! And it showed with the restaurant being so quiet! Normally on a Saturday night it’s packed with customers, I saw a couple of meals priced £25 for a cheeseburger! And nearly £30 for a steak or mix grill! I’m surprised this wont be another restaurant closing its doors soon. I’ll be going somewhere else next time . Also the lighting was horrible so dark ! You could hardly see what you was eating . The only positive thing was that the staff was really friendly .
The food was overpriced and expensive…
The food was overpriced and expensive for thin sandwhich steaks. It was actually shocking and I was very upset I spent money here. I will never go here again. Will always choose anywhere else in Bluewater but never TGIs again.
The worst meal I have ever had
The worst meal I have ever had. Meadowhall was rubbish to say the best about it. It’s the first time I have ever walked out of anywhere and not paid. 2.5 hours waiting for food. Kids meals come out and the bread was so hard my kids could not eat there meal. Please avoid at all cost.
Absolutely awful app
Absolutely awful app. You have to download it to get offers in restaurant but it then won't give you any codes that the server wants, only sending you back to play store to redownload the same app you are in over and over again. I'd rather actually eat when I come to a restaurant not spend 20 minutes trying to get an app to work. Useless.
Received a parking ticket when it says on the front door that customers are entitled for 3 hours of free parking
My family and I had dinner at TGI Fridays Sutton Coldfield (4 Newhall Walk, Sutton Coldfield) on the 6th of May, 2024. When we went back to our car after dinner, we noticed that a privacy notice was left on the windshield. Upon checking with the staff in th restaurant, they told us that we parked in the staff carpark, and that we will receive a fine later in the mail.
The truth is, when we arrived at the restaurant it wasn't clear that it was a staff carpark and we did see at the front door that as customers, we were entitled to 3 hours of free parking, that’s why we parked ou car there.
Apart from leaving a review here, we have also sent a message to TGI Fridays through their website, and if I do not hear from them, I would be very disappointed as big restaurants like them should have their customers’ back.
And customer service was horrendous as well, having to speak to 2 different staff to simply get water for our kids (all adults ordered drinks). I specifically said that I needed water for the whole table (6 people) and the staff only brought us one glass of water. After asking for water for everyone again, he still only brought one more glass to the table, so I just gave up and get the kids to share the glass of water. Service was horrible and we will never come back again!
Booked table not ready! Left after an hour!
Table was booked for 13 people at 17:15 at Coventry site, but was not ready. Despite enquiring several times and being told that it was being prepared and they would inform our group when it was ready. No one came over to us, apologised, offered us a drink for the time wasted... Nothing. It got to 18:05 and we discovered that there was a group of people on our table that hadn't finished after their bottomless brunch. Rather than staff requesting that they move to the bar as they were not eating, they left us stood at the bar wondering what was going on as they weren't up front and transparent about the situation, instead saying they were 'prepping the table'. We gave up in the end as it was a shambles. It was a birthday meal and many were ordering cocktails so they missed out on approximately £350/£400 (minus tips) had we stayed and ordered food and more drinks (single vodka and lemonade £7.20, cocktails 2 for £16). Terrible management, planning, and service. It wasn't even value for money to excuse it. The poor management, lack of transparency, and overall service were disappointing. We regret not heeding the bad reviews we’d heard from colleagues and friends. We would have saved on petrol, time and wouldn't have upset the 10 year old birthday girl, because management lacked the courage to move the customers who had overrun on the table. This experience will be shared on various platforms to help others make informed choices.
Outrageous Prices!
OMG i know prices have raised due to inflation but you guys are ripping people off now! I use to love a regular visit to tgi. Iv just got back from Dubai and your prices for food and drinks are more expensive than there!
2-4-1 cocktails!..... what a absolute marketing scam. You have raised your prices to £16 for one average cocktail. I didnt want two of the same and i still get charged the same for ordering one! Absolute joke. Again cheaper to get a decent drink in London.
Food was good never had a bad meal, But your pricing is all wrong, it use to be reasonable for what you offered but there is far better restaurants out there that are more reasonably priced now.
Food low quality and huge price
Food low quality and huge price. Will not go back as not worth it at all
Awful and very very expensive
Food (pasta) was overcooked and stuck together the chicken was hard and stringy....
The jack Daniels sauce has disappeared and replaced with a watery brown solution (thier special glaze 🤢)
And to top it of was extremely expensive....£8 for a milkshakes...and £20 for a bowl of congealed pasta....this is daylight robbery...we were wondering why we were the only two in there....there's our answer.
WILL NEVER DINE THERE AGAIN.
TGI Friday is now TGI Finished
I went to TGi Friday last night with my family to celebrate my birthday. I haven’t been there for a year or so.
First the positive. The staff were generally very good.
The place was shabby with peeling wallpaper.
The food was over priced, overcooked and awful. There is not part of the food I can say was good. We went for a sharer starter platter of Times Square and Loaded potatoes. Awful.
Then we had mains. I had a New York Strip steak and my daughter in law had the more expensive steak at £28, mins was around £24. Overcooked, tasteless and poor and done get me started on the microwaved token mushroom.
We declined desserts.
A complete waste of money.
TGI’s used to be a good place to go. But this was a sad, tired, overpriced shadow of its former self.
We paid the bill and left and will
Never ever go to a TGI again.
Brighton needs closing down - Never again
Visited the Brighton Marina Venue
The toilets were disgusting - sick allover the floor in the ladies and wee all over the floor and seats in the mens - only 1/3 Ladies toilets available. Informed staff who said they would deal with it but didnt.
Food all over the floor - was 4pm when we arrived and wasnt busy - more staff than customers yet the place was absolutely disgusting.
We were with young children and sat at a table which meant they were sat eye level at their plates - we moved tables and found more suitable chairs for the kids.
Looked at the menus which were tatty, falling apart and sticky !
So expensive - £4.30 for a glass diet coke????
Had the JD Chicken and dry as anything - nothing like it used to be.
Kids ice cream came out in a glass cup.
Walked out feeling like ive caught an STD or something.Real shame but its put me off TGIs forever now.
SOOOO EXPENSIVE!!!!
We visited this week as a treat, the food was great and we had no issues, however i could not believe the price. For two mains and two drinks we paid over £60…. for two of us. No starters, desserts or alcohol. They claim it’s happy hour all day everyday which it is, but one cocktail is £16… which is A LOT 🙈🙈🙈
Do not waste your time or £££ cribbs causeway TGI Friday
We have just come home from a visit to your Cribbs Causeway branch. We will not be visiting this nor any TGI Fridays again.
Whilst we were there a table walked out, and another table who had ordered left and the servers realised once they had their food to give them. I don’t blame the others for leaving and had this not had been a 16 year olds birthday meal I too would have left.
We were left at the table with no service for 20-25 minutes, the waitress who had holes in her thin leggings was trying to take food orders before drinks- we ordered drinks then food shortly after (once we’d caught her attention) she then came back 10 minutes after our order and asked about my sons chicken nuggets- I explained we hadn’t ordered chicken nuggets but fish fingers. She laughed and said she was glad she checked. I went through the order again and she went off. The food arrived, the burger with no mayonnaise specifically stated had mayonnaise on. My sons fish finger meal had 12 or 13 chips on the plate and he told me he was hungry after it, the beans were in a tiny Tupperware pot (my son is 3- this cost me over £7!) my mother in laws order wasn’t ever put through so she didn’t even have her meal only a £5 side salad which didn’t look at all appetising. We still at this point had no cutlery. I called someone over after waiting for 5 minutes to say about my burger, the food that hadn’t arrived and the no cutlery! I told 3 staff! We waited at least 15 minutes for cutlery! The manage came over and asked what was wrong with my burger and the first thing I asked for was cutlery so people could eat but we still had to wait for it.
Myself and my mother in law didn’t eat. We said we didn’t want our meals because we wouldn’t be eating with our family.
The birthday boy (16 with autism) wanted pudding- no one else did and we all wanted to leave (like at least 2 other tables already had) but we ordered the brownie nearly £11 (FYI this price is far too much for what was served) we waited 35 minutes for this brownie. We asked the birthday boy if he wanted to wait and he did (he’d told us he wanted a brownie and we’d said yes so he wanted his brownie) I told the waitress we were waiting she said she’d go and check then 5 minutes later I asked her how long it would be- she told me she’d not been yet! We waited another 5 minutes- it arrived and my step son ate it. We asked for the bill, there wasn’t once an apology. Not by the girl serving nor the manager. The food we didn’t eat had been discounted for obvious reasons but without so much as an apology I left that restaurant absolutely fuming, out of pocket and embarrassed that we’d needed to stay and endure such shockingly awful service.
Not only will we not be returning but I will be strongly discouraging family and friends from TGI Fridays.
The service must get better, it is not good enough as it is.
We visited the branch in Barnsley
We visited the branch in Barnsley, we were very disappointed with our meal everything was over cooked. The menu choices were limited, some of their previous dishes had been removed and we were not left with a good choice. Plus we thought everything was over priced. The corn dog starters looked like they had been cremated. I had the Cajun chicken fajitas which was far too spicy, i can eat spicy food but that was just over the top. I passed it round the table and no one could eat it. I was supposed to qualify for a free dessert but on inspecting the bill I had been charged for it. We all decided we would not be coming back.
I was served at the bar by a young man…
I was served at the bar by a young man called Alfie at the resorts world branch and he was very knowledgeable regarding the cocktails on offer and was very polite and gave a great service. Very friendly and would visit again. Thanks Alfie
SHRINKFLATION
SHRINKFLATION
So I decided to go and pay a vist to a place I have loved over the years to go for a special treat, I am a steak lover and always have loved a good steak from TGI Fridays, so we arrive in their Cheshire Oaks branch take our seats I go for the New York strip steak at £28 and the wife goes for a rack of ribs at about the same price (price hike big time) my steak comes out if you can call it that I have cooked bigger minute steaks at home and the ribs I think had come out of iceland microwave range, £1.00 for an extra JD glaze, asked for my steak rare but it was that thin Gordon Ramsey would not have been able to make it rare, to the point I would say the steak if bought from a shop would have cost a fiver for 5 I dont mind paying a good price for quality food but what was brought out would not have filled a 10 year old child, about 12 chips and the thinnest steak I have ever seen all brought out on the size of a side plate. Sorry TGIs but that will be my last visit as you are now ripping customers off.
Pre-Mixed Cocktails-disgusting
Went to T.G.I.Fridays at Cross Street Manchester, service was excellent but now find out that some of the expensive cocktails are now pre-mixed! Always go here for fresh, well made cocktails but not any more! When I am paying £16 for 2 cocktails I want a freshly made one not something that is already mixed and then poured from a bottle. Looks like it will be Hard Rock Cafe from now on!
2 for 1 cocktails are misleading
2 for 1 cocktails are misleading, there are no prices and so when you pay the bill you find out 1 cocktail is £16.00… more expensive than London prices. You think you are getting a deal but not so. Poor.
