I thought it was just me that noted the weakness of the tea and like others tried to contact there customer services (laughable) as I thought I had a sub optimal offering. After coming on this site I see that Tetley has adopted the shrinkification model. Same price - less tea. Its weak and woeful and as a consequence I will not be using them any more.

As an aside I will be speaking with Costco about this to establish if they were complicit in this duplicitous provision

Always use tetley tea bags,but now the bags have less tea in and taste weak even if use 2bags a cup. Very disappointed.

I always loved Tetley tea as did the rest of my family but ever since the packaging has changed to the navy box the taste has changed drastically too. We have just chucked them all out as none of us like the new taste they taste disgusting and no longer enjoy or will buy this brand. Shame really. Have tetley really not noticed the difference in taste

Have always used Tetley. They have recently changed their packaging to a navy blue box. Didn't expect any difference with the taste with the new packaging, but tea is noticeably weaker.

Used to get 3 cups from 1 bag
Now 3 bags = 1 cup !!
They even taste different !!!! 😡

Was shocked to see but agree with all of the negative reviews, totally tasteless these days. Will revert to PG Tips that actually has some flavour! I don't care about the price much but when the quality doesn't match the price it's time to change, you may as well drink a non branded cheapo tea rather than Tetley, a third of the price for the same taste.

We have used Tetley tea bags for years and like previous comments when squeezing the tea bags it become obvious there is less tea within. Good bye Tetley!!!!¬!

Just opened a pack of 240 bags after finishing the Tetley bags I'd bulk purchased earlier last year. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement, there is less than half the amount of tea leaf in the bags which means even when I'm only making just over half a cup of tea, it tastes extremely weak. Will not be buying tetley again to avoid further disappointment, own brand alternatives feel like they would be a step up in comparison. Tetley, you should reconsider this move if you want to avoid losing any more of your loyal base.

Taste awful, has a plastic/solvent/weird smell and taste.
Possibly from outer packaging.

The taste has became so weak. You need to put 2 tea bags in one cup to get the old tetley taste, which effectively doubles the price of per packet. I won’t buy it again.

I keep buying Tetley tea hoping it will improve but it's taste has changed my family now also won't buy it anymore horrible now

After complaining about the poor quality of tea bags I have received very little communication if any, phone lines don't work.

Shocking after sales service, will never buy this brand again. PG Tip's it is going forwards.

Ive drunk tetley for years and always had a lovely cuppa. I bought a pack last month just the same original blend but my partner and i have noticed its taste seems different and not pleasant. I thought it was just me.
Don't think i will buy them again which is a shame

Have been a Tetley tea drinker for over fifty years.. but for the pass year I noticed the tea is not what I use to drink.. in the old days I can have a very strong tea with one tea bag, now I needed two in order to get the same colour and taste. Also the taste is somewhat muddy. Do not know if they change the formula..Think it's time to look around for other brands...Real shame that something that you get used too would change so much that I need to look elsewhere.

I have recently tasted Earl Grey tea and found I love it.
Over the past few months, I have been buying Morrisons shop brand which has tasted great.
I need more and went shopping to find my usual brand unavailable, I looked at Twinings but found in the same colour box Tetley Ear Gray. Being used to buying Original Tetley Tea, I thought, I can't go wrong, it's got to be better than the shop brand.

Oh, what a mistake I made.

I could not understand, I made a brew, but it tasted horrible.
Not understanding why I examined the box and had to use the magnifying glass app on my phone to read it contained a "Zesty Citrus Twist".

Sorry but I'm not blind, but why did I need to use a magnifying app to read contain's a "Zesty Citrus Twist"? Why use the same colour boxes as an original brand?

I sent Tetley Customer Services an email to complain but did not get an acknowledgement it was received, so I logged on to Tetley's Website and sent a complaint directly.

Now, over a week later, I still have not heard anything back from them.

I used to buy Tetley Tea, but it is a brand I will never buy again.
I believe that the added "Zesty Citrus Twist" was a test flavour which went wrong and did not sell, hence why you now need a magnifying glass to read it has been added.
What else will they try to add and only use small print you can't read?

13 April nearly one month after my original complaint I had a reply from Tetley.

They apologised for the delay but they had email problems and were unable to reply until now.

They said they were sorry to hear that I was disappointed with the Zesty Citrus Twist and how it tasted.

I emailed them back again to explain that it was not the Zesty Citrus Twist, that I was complaining about, but it is the very small print on their boxs which mentions the Zesty Citrus Twist.

Now they must be having email problems again, because to this date I have not had a reply about their labelling or small print on their packaging.

I am an avid tea drinker who drinks up to 8 mugs a day. I like my tea strong so I use 2 bags left in the mug. Tetley is usually my first choice but recently been bought a gift from a friend of tea bags from another store. After finishing these tea bags, bought a big bag of Original Tetley and it tasted disgusting. Muddy, earthy, tasted more like the branches than tea. I tried 3 mugs before going out to get some other brand. £7.55 wasted. Never buying Tetley again!

I have always drunk Tetley tea they were fantastic And always tasted lovely I don't know what has happened but they are tasteless now

Had an issue with the order I received resulting in a missing item. Emily was brilliant, she asked all the right questions to make sure she could resolve the issue quickly and fully. Received my missing item and a few very kind extras. Will definitely shop with you again. Thank you again Emily and to anyone else who helped get my issue resolved.

Love Tetley Cuppa, my fav but i accidently bought Tetley One Cup, Large bags, These bags have half the tea inside, So any people who love a Tetley cuppa, Stay well clear, stick to Tetley Original.

Cant believe I'm writing this but after drinking Tetley for many years (my always goto cuppa), loved the taste but recently after getting a large 440 bag the tea even after brewing for ages just looks like dishwater, so weak thought I was going mad or a dodgy tea bag but its the same with every bag, their tea was always a strong cuppa but think maybe another company might be penny pinching at the expense of flavour and customers. Goodbye Tetley
