The customer service is none existent. I’ve had a PlayStation account since I was 13. I’m now 25. Same account. They “permanently suspended” my 10+ year old account I’ve spent THOUSANDS on because the... Mehr ansehen

Disgusting company
The reviews are all correct. I can not believe such a big brand name can get away with broad daylight scamming.
I purchased the wxm5 after my wxm4 headphones had 3 hinge breaks. Sure enough after not even 5 months the hinge completely snapped. I was in warranty and sent off a repair assuming this would be free. I was sent a £96 repair cost!! I bought the headphones for £150.
The part costs £20 on eBay. What an absolute joke of a company, I would be ashamed to work at Sony. Disgusting.
Poor customer service with repair.
Sent sony noise cancelling headphones off for under waranty repair as noise issue in right ear. Repair centre said not covered as evidence of tampering with the microphone and wanted £264 to repair them.
Raised a complaint as why would we attempt a repair when they cost £400 new 11 months old and also purchased the extended 2 year waranty.
Sony accepted the repair centres findings and didnt conduct an independent review.
Absolute joke!
Now have to either accept the repair or pay the inspection costs to get them back.
Absolutely awful consoles in all…
Absolutely awful consoles in all honesty, need regular maintenance after a short time and just become a pain.
Since PlayStation withdrew hundreds of…
Since PlayStation withdrew hundreds of paid for films and then withdrew physical media - so any games you 'buy' you don't actually own and can't be withdrawn at any time, they've lost my custom. PS5 will, sadly, be my last Sony product.
Corporate greed.
Corporate greed running rampant
So first they deleted the library of anybody who purchased films via their store, luckily this didn't involve me but sat badly with me and then they doubled down on everything wrong with corporate greed and have announcedd an entirely digital future for their media.
This presents two problems, you can purchase something and it never belongs to you and can be deleted at the whim of Sony and this eliminates an any form of safety net for people with poor internet
As a result I am cancelling my subscriptions and going to boycott sony full stop, no more electronics from you let alone consoles
Why can't a give them 0 stars
Why can't a give them 0 stars. They do not deserve 1. Sony refuse to handle complaints and if you get someone on some pathetic "help" service, they tell you they can't and won't help, that Sony don't have a complaints department. And then say "can I help you with anything else."
There score on hear is also a joke. All the 1 star reviews would be 0 if we could give them a 0.
Never again
Ordered a Bravia 7 ii bundle, after the initial order confirmation, I've received no updates and it is now 5 days from the indicated delivery date. Truly awful service.
Premium TV, Poor Warranty Support
Very disappointed with Sony's handling of my warranty claim.
My Sony XR-65A80L television, developed a visible mark on the screen which is visible even when the TV is switched off. Sony arranged an in-home inspection through an authorised service centre.
The engineer advised that they could not determine the cause of the issue and that photographs would be submitted to Sony for assessment. I later obtained confirmation from the service centre that their report consisted of taking photographs, attempting to clean the mark, and forwarding the information to Sony for a decision.
What I found frustrating was the way the diagnosis changed throughout the complaints process. Initially I was told that a Sony product specialist had concluded the issue was caused by "external pressure damage". Later, Sony's written position referred to "physical abrasion" on the screen surface. Despite repeatedly asking for a clear technical explanation, I was never provided with any detailed evidence showing how these conclusions were reached.
I escalated the matter through Sony Customer Relations and even attempted to contact senior management. Each time I received the same response that the decision was final and no further review was available.
I appreciate that warranty claims can be declined where physical damage is present. My disappointment is that, after months of correspondence, phone calls and chasing for updates, I still do not feel I received a clear and consistent explanation of why Sony concluded the issue was customer-caused damage rather than a defect with the screen itself.
My dissatisfaction is with Sony's handling of the warranty claim and complaints process. The 5 year warranty is worth nothing, I will not purchase another Sony product.
I wouldn’t even give it one star
I wouldn’t even give it one star. I ordered a PS5 and an extra controller with it and didn’t receive the controller. I contacted Sony and what a lost cause that was. I understand things can get lost in delivery or stolen but they had 0 explanation and just concluded that I did receive all my items and when I asked for proof of their investigation they couldn’t give me any or offer any insight. I basically got scammed out of a brand new PS5 controller with no compensation or remorse or help. And they shouted over the phone at me as if I’m in the wrong. Insane customer service, don’t buy from them!!!!!
Read this before buying Earbuds
Bought a pair of Sony LinkBuds S at over £100 and 2 and a half years later they are destined for the bin. The battery in the right ear will now not hold a charge so I can't go over half an hour before 'low battery' is announced. I've looked online and this is a common problem with all earbuds, the batteries are tiny, non-replaceable and only last between 300 and 500 charges, or between 1 and a half years and 2years, then they are scrap. Sony and Apple it is stated have the longest battery life so I pity the poor people that got some others if mine is a good span of use. One solution, which I have done, is to buy neck earbuds which have a large battery pack in the neck section charged directly via a USB port. Mine even looks like that section is hinged so I may be able to renew this battery, only time will tell if I can.
So be aware of this before you spend your hard earned money on an item that has such a small lifespan for such a large outlay.
Would give 0 stars
Would give 0 stars - terrible customer service from such a well known company. Ordered tv, they couldn't meet advertised delivery date - their courier Arrow XL changed delivery date which was outwith stated date. Cancelled order - long story short took 19 days to get refund - involving me having to call them several times. They stated I could not be refunded until tv was received back from their courier (the tv was never delivered to me) which took 12 days. I have used Sony products for years but I will never deal with their company again after this awful experience!
horrendous
horrendous! every time my phone times out, it doesn't work again, until I unplug EVERYTHING and start again. waste of money
Very disappointing after-sales service.
I contacted Sony's technical support team regarding an issue with a newly purchased TV and was assured that I would receive an email from a technician named Ahmed. Unfortunately, despite waiting several days, no email was ever received.
I then contacted customer services to raise a complaint and spoke with Hagar (in Egypt) who advised that complaints regarding technical support had to be directed back to the technical department. This left me feeling passed from one team to another, with no one taking ownership of the issue. She was not helpful at all.
As things stand, my problem remains unresolved, and I have been forced to seek assistance elsewhere. This is particularly frustrating given that the issue relates to a new Sony product and should have been addressed through the company's own support channels.
The lack of communication, poor follow-through, and apparent indifference to resolving customer issues have left me extremely disappointed. A premium brand should be supported by a high standard of customer care, and unfortunately that has not been my experience.
Based on this experience, I would think twice before purchasing another Sony product and cannot recommend their after-sales support.
If I had the option they would not even get one star.
Sony headphones with ADMITTED production fault!
I purchased four (or five) Sony headphones. ALL had same production fault. The inner ring on the left hand swivel joint broke. It only dawned on me that it must be a production fault after the latest one broke. I contacted Sony. After numerous emails (during which "Ahmed" responded in person to a complaint about himself which should have been escalated to a superior. "Mazen", just one of many customer relations officers, also refused to escalate saying that he was the highest I could reach. Amazingly they ADMITTED there WAS a production fault! However, my serial number (of the latest faulty item) fell outwith what they "admitted". Disgraceful, incompetent communications all attempting to evade Sony's responsibilities. They offered £50 token reduction only if I could be forced to spend yet more money on purchasing yet another item from them! With Holiday Quarter Operating Profit of $3.3 BILLION), representing a 22% year-over-year jump that easily beat analyst estimates, you might think they could afford to replace a set of headphones at a couple of hundred pounds or compensate for the ADMITTED production fault. Maybe that's why they make BILLIONS of pounds profit! Looking at the endless complaints about them, if they do not refund anyone, one can see how their profits just keep climbing. An individual like me will make no difference but I won't be continuing my spend with them. (Many thousands on televisions and other items!) I also stopped buying Coca Cola when the price rocketed.... Big deal!
absolutely terrible service with no empathy at all
I have just bought a Bravia 5 85" tv from curry's. alls well until last week, when in top left of screen there's some sort of film on screen that has started peeling off, and it won't stick back. next morning lines start appearing on screen both horizontal and vertical in different colours. the picture jumps and goes out of focus. phoned curry's who say I have to speak to Sony to get them repair / replace under warranty. getting through is a mission, most of the handlers on the other end are not fluent English speakers and they either have trouble understanding me or me them.
I have now had numerous phone calls with them and e-mails and each time I get an e-mail they assign a new case number. when I ask for a supervisor or to be put through to the uk I am told its not possible!! they then asked me to take pictures of tv and send them and the receipt, then they say not received so send again. this was last week, today im now told that they have reviewed pictures and there is physical damage, which there isn't only the film peeling off, to tv and im not covered!!! I am furious with the very poor level of service and attitude of lip service I have received. they just patronise me on the phone. I have asked to raise a compliant and speak to a supervisor but told I will have to wait and be contacted in 24 hours. meantime I still have a 85" useless tv in my front room with no resolution. tried to ring Sony H/O in uk but they close at 4pm.
very very poor service and attitude from large company I thought I could trust.
Sony Products Utter Rubbish!!
I bought a Sony Bravara A+ rated 55" smart TV in 2022 from Currys cost me a lot of cash as the previous TV was a shit Bush, it was a lovely TV lovely picture lovely sound no need for any sound bars, it didn't last though, I was watching a DVD and the next minute it went with a bang, I tried contacting Sony with the model number etc you know what they wasn't interested, I found them on Facebook tried to get them to answer my questions they told me to remove my post, I know £600 probably isn't a lot of money to many of you, I'm on long term sick and I saved up for years and I thought that TV would still last me a decent few years, it didn't even last me a year maybe just over! Why doesn't anything last anymore? For a huge company called Sony I won't ever be buying from them either, I ended up buying an Hitachi 4K smart TV since the electricity went up I only used it twice, I gave it away to my mate, I do not have a TV no more I cannot be doing with the hassles of braking down. I use my Samsung Galaxy S9 Ultra Tablet to watch movies on YouTube I don't need a TV as I no longer have a TV License I scraped everything! No I do not watch catch up I just do not bother, as I download movies instead lol. I've only seen a TV programme on my friends TV every channel they're crap!! Glad I don't watch anymore. The TV went to the skip I was gutted wasted £600 it's a disgrace and manufacturers need shooting selling crap that no longer last any longer than 1 to 2yrs. Years ago electrical goods lasted years, I still had till a month ago my mothers reel to reel Elizabethan tape machine she had when she was 21 it still worked it had light bulbs inside. Nothing today lasts we live in a buy and buy more disposable world today. I ain't taking no more.
The date I bought won't go back far enough! 😡
My first Sony TV and definitely my…
My first Sony TV and definitely my last. Google apps conflicting with Sony apps....It took me days to get a tv listing app that would let me create favourites. None of the catch up apps would open either.I spent hours on Gemini and chat gpt and it took ages for them to get to the bottom of it.I spent an hour on the phone with an adviser who didnt listen to what I said...kept having to ask someone else what to do and couldnt even grasp what a catch up app was.Utterly out of her depth and I told her so.She eventually promised that someone at a level up to her would contact me within 24 hours.
Im still waiting. The tv is now doing what it should do...it took a week in total
Awful customer service from a company that clearly doesnt give a toss about its customers
Dont honour their warranty
Sent camera back to Pen Coed service centre as its shutter failed in use.
Pen Coed say repair is chargeable due to 'physical damage' despite the fault happening with a lens in place and the fault be be seen happening across two images.
Currently trying to resolve with 'customer service' as there is no way to challenge the opinion of Pen Coed with them directly.
Disapointed
How could you destroy destiny but keep funding marathon, bad idea sony
