The log cabin is exactly the dimensions I was expecting and seems sturdy and good quality. It looks good.

I misread the website and was expecting it to come already made, but putting it together was relatively quick and easy, although it does assume you have some kind of power screwdriver. All in all, good product and glad I bought it.

The lads who built the sauna ( both called Craig were superb .
They helped with the delivery and done the build in one day .
Good old fashioned workmen with amazing work ethic .

Ordered a carport from Simply Log Cabins. Arrived on time, just as they promised. Great customer service prior to delivery. Nothing much else to say!

I purchased a cabin from Simply Log Cabins which including several extras from the company. From start to finish, the experience has been incredibly poor.

The delivery alone was shocking — the driver dragged the pallet across my driveway with a forklift, leaving visible scuff marks. When it came to building the cabin, the problems only got worse. The instructions provided were completely wrong. I was sent three different sets of instructions before it became clear that none of them completed/matched my model.

The extras I paid for didn’t even fit the cabin properly, and I had to make my own modifications just to get the build to work. Even worse, essential materials were missing altogether. Simply Log Cabins admitted this was their mistake and told me to go out, buy the timber myself, and “cut it to size” as a workaround. They also promised to send the missing material — that was over six weeks ago, and despite having an order acknowledgment, nothing has arrived.

I’ve tried repeatedly to escalate this issue and speak with a manager, but no one has called me back. Instead, I was told that it was my fault for continuing with the build, even though I followed their guidance and used the materials provided. Friends and family helping me with the build have been stunned witnessing the process first hand and just how appalling the service has been.

After all this, I raised a formal complaint three weeks ago and was offered a “goodwill gesture” of just £100 (0.02% of the order value) — with a deadline of only 48 hours to accept. This was despite the company acknowledging their mistakes. It’s honestly insulting given the time, stress, and cost involved.

If anyone doubts this account, I have full correspondence and even video evidence of the delivery damage, which I’m happy to share. My honest advice: stay well clear of Simply Log Cabins.

Our prefabricated building was delivered on schedule; we were kept informed of progress during the lead in time.
The actual delivery; (we live at the end of a narrow Cornish lane), was executed with utmost professionalism using state of the art mechanical handling equipment that made a daunting task look easy.

Where to start with what has honestly been the most stressful weekend in history. Cabin arrived on time, great start. Unfortunately it arrived on a Friday before a bank holiday weekend, little did I know what a problem this would be. I scheduled someone to build the cabin for me. I unpackagaed endless amounts of wood, 2 broken slats. Zero instructions!! Nothing. Nothing was labeled, or numbered or had any indication of what it was, just planks of wood. A flat pack of nightmares with no instructions. I looked online and I couldn't find any instructions for the Palmako Lea cabin that I ordered, but could find others of a similar style so I had to try to work off this as best I could. The builder said it was the worst he had ever dealt with. I was assisting along the way, as well as 2 other very vert competent DIY guys. As competent as they are, this cabin was a joke to build from start to finish. Even the instructions for other cabins online are poor, so with or without them, you're still none the wiser.
I called and spoke to Lewis in the office who basically said it was lack of competency on the builder which is joke! I had no clout nails for the roof, which according to him, info on that is on the website, I must have missed that part. The insulation i ordered again had zero instructions. Just boards chucked on top of the delivery. The bi-fold doors had no instructions either, and we had a 20ml gap in the middle. We have tried our best to adjust them and managed to get them to a 10ml gap now and I've had to book a double glazing fitter to come and do it for me. With no instructions, I'm basically at a loss.
Fast forward to today, Lewis tells me he can send me guides on email. Quite why this wasn't done in the first place is beyond me. Initially, he didn't even believe that instructions were not included but I unpacked it myself, why would I lie? As it happens, the instructions online for another cabin that we used as a guide, are so incredibly poor I'm not sure having the right ones would have helped anyway.

Before you buy from here, ask yourself if you truly have the patience to deal with a blind project. I thought id try to save a bit of money and it goes to show, you truly do get what you pay for. Don't make the same mistake as me! This company rely upon you enjoying and loving the cabin so much that you don't care. I was offered reimbursement for the broken slats but absolutely no compensation for having to pay the builder additional time as it had taken so long without instructions. Wish id bought from Dunster House now and saved myself the stress and drama of this bank holiday nightmare.

I searched tirelessly online for instructions on the Lea Cabin, had I been aware that these instructions were available to download, that could have helped BUT! First of all, the instructions are horrendous. I've just looked. They are about as helpful as a wet paper bag. I got better instructions with a child's flat pack easel I bought last week. If the instructions were any good, it would have been helpful to attach these to the confirmation order email I got, ahead of time. It also would be advantageous to tell me that insulation and bi-fold door instructions could be found online. I've solved escape room puzzles easier than I've dealt with this mess this weekend!

What could you do better?
I called twice over the weekend and both times the phone was answered. Both times by two staff members could not help with a thing. I said that I had no instructions, two broken slats, no roof clout nails, could they not have at least helped?! Pointed me in the right direction?? They basically just grunted at me down the phone, may as well save their salary and pay for good quality instructions!

Yes you've offered to pay for two slats, big deal. The lack of instructions cost me more in time than two wood slats.
I also see further complaints on here from a professional builder who also couldn't make head nor tail of the instructions either, so its not just us!

Recently purchased a cabin through this company and have no complaints. It arrived when expected, the materials seem high quality and the assembly process was smooth and easy to follow. All this combined leads to a finished product I'm very happy with!

We ordered a Shire Haddon Summerhouse. The ordering process was simple and choosing a delivery date was really helpful. It was delivered efficiently and on time. We are very pleased with the summerhouse and overall it is very good value for money. The only negative is that the two gable pieces arrived damaged at their pointed ends. We didn’t want to delay our project so managed to fit them as best we could. Protective packaging would have prevented this happening.
On the positive side, the instructions were very clear and simple and everything was well labelled. The advice to paint the sections before assembly was extremely helpful as the paint we used needed three coats. It took a long time so I would recommend looking carefully for a quicker solution. Despite my worries we managed to construct the summerhouse ourselves (and we are in our 70s!). We are pleased with the result and now need to furnish it.

I purchased a mid ranged summer house from Simply Log Cabins and had multiple issues with receiving and building. I was delayed by 3 weeks with receiving my log cabin and had to chase to get updates on when it would arrive. Once delivered and upon unpacking, they had stacked the cabin across 3 pallets with 1-1.5m gaps between the pallets which caused a lot of the timbers to be bowed and also stacked upside down so all the beginning pieces were at the bottom of the pallets. I emailed multiple times to advise that a lot of the timbers were bowed aswell as both doors and sent plenty of photos and videos as evidence to which I only got the replies of “send us different angles and we’ll forward this to the right department for them to contact you” and then never heard back again until I chased. In the end I gave up chasing as I never got a response or got through on the phone. Not worth the price I paid for a terrible product.

The reason we couldn’t find the first layer of the structure was because there was no pieces of wood without the tongue and groove feature on the bottom pieces. By that I mean there should’ve been a whole first row of pieces that had a completely flat bottom because there was no need for a ridged side because it was laying on a flat surface. I have to try for several hours to understand what’s going on. I rang up the company and Lewis said oh everybody gets that wrong it’s okay. You just need to put a normal piece down! Quite why they didn’t actually say that in the literature is beyond me. The instructions are absolutely appalling there is no structure to the views of the building. You don’t know if you’re looking at the inside of the building or the outside of the building, none of the pieces of wood are in any sort of order they are just packed in a way that utilises the space. Assembly of the structure on the face of it is quite easy when you eventually find which bit goes next. However, as you go further upwards, the distortion in the wood becomes apparent and it’s very difficult sometimes to get the next piece on, quite often you have to screw a baton across several pieces to take out the bowing of the structure. Inherently once it’s together it looks quite good. However, it’s quite unstable in various areas, particularly the front division between the two garages. What I did was on each of the corners,the rear brace across the back, and the front pillar was to screw in a 3”x 3” support beam floor to ceiling and screw them in from two sides. This immediately had the effect of making the whole structure more rigid and took out any bowing. The roof was a bloody nightmare. Lots of the pieces of wood were extremely distorted and it absolutely took ages to put together because of this. If you haven’t got a paslode nail gun forget it ! It was hard enough as it was but the very thought of having to actually hammer nails in as well as coping with the distortion would be untenable in my view.The roofing tiles are a good quality but they don’t give you any way of fixing them down, even though you’ve paid £700 for them.. that is my unbiased review of the product. Now it’s up I’m pleased with it, whether I would do it again probably not. I do not know anyone anywhere in my contact book that could accept this Building onto their property as dispatched. Think about it they pick it up on a forklift it’s 8 m wide and weighs 2.6 tons, ask yourself would that fit in your front gate or your drive? Once it’s unpacked you need a massive area to spread out all the pieces because they are in no particular order, you can’t spread it out on the concrete slab. it’s extra space you need on top of this. I’ve built two houses, I’m a professional engineer used to working from drawings and I found it extremely difficult. It’s unacceptable behaviour to supplier product as complex as this without a substantial meaningful instruction leaflet. You know you’re gonna be in trouble when the guy that delivers it says that the instructions aren’t great. I just don’t understand why they don’t get their act together and produce proper literature. Literally all the people are doing is ordering a product from Estonia taking your money and then leaving it up to you.. if you think you can cope with the situation as I have described it well, this is the product for you.

Looking online the garden arbour was competively priced. I had a question about what was required for assembly and I was promptly replied to.
The arbour was delivered with no delay and the driver followed instructions on how to find the location we needed it to come to.
I am really happy with the quality of the product, very sturdy and not flimsy like some. The instructions for assembly were a bit light but my better half managed to get it fixed together with my help.
Very happy and it’s getting a lot of use!

They said my summerhouse would be delivered within 4 weeks when I ordered and it took over 8 weeks. Then when it was finally delivered, the cap was crushed. I reported it immediately and was told a new would be sent on an express delivery. 3 weeks later I’m still waiting. Shocking service from a shocking company who clearly don’t care about anything other than sales. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

I bought the Tony small garage/ workshop which is perfect for my needs. All went together fine. Put 2 coats of preservative on and currently applying a colour. All takes time when you do it yourself but it looks great and very sturdy. Gudrum were very helpful when I rang about delivery times and the delivery guy on the day was outstanding. This company goes above and beyond.
