What a pleasure to receive both helpful and polite service on the telephone and in person from the Gosport branch. Aaron served me today 5th March, and repaired my hearing aid while I waited. I would not hesitate to recommend Scrivens.

Had my annual review with Angela (audiologist) and also collected my new specs today. Really pleased with the appointments. Staff are professional, friendly and reassuring. I will certainly be entrusting my future care to this team.

I went to the Sheldon branch where the staff were all very friendly and provided excellent customer service

Went into the Wimborne branch with my elderly mother for an eye test and to order some new glasses. From start to finish the service was excellent.
My mother had an enjoyable time picking her glasses for reading and distance. Your ladies were superb with her , very patient and jokey , so she was totally at ease and also ended up with sunglasses as well. In fact I also came out with a lovely pair of sunglasses. Would not hesitate to go in for my own sight test.
Just also to mention that my mother also has her hearing dealt with here and sees a lovely lady who also is very patient and good with her.
I am sorry but I am unable to recall any names from our visit but anytime I have been in the staff are always extremely helpful.

I went into Scrivens on Lea Bridge Rd, Leyton and told them I needed new contact lenses as my prescription had changed (I gave them my Moorfields glasses prescription). They booked me a contact lens appointment for £40. The actual appointment was good, the optician suggested two different prescriptions and said she would order some trial lenses for me to determine which worked best. I didn’t hear anything so phoned after a couple of weeks. I was told they don’t issue trial lenses! I asked to speak to the manager who said I’d had an ‘aftercare’ appointment. I asked what that meant and she said checking eye health. This was not what I’d requested and there was no indication during the appointment that it was the wrong type of appointment. I have not received anything for my £40. I then put in a complaint and received the same info in response with an offer to send me the new prescription. I don’t know how they can do that when there were two proposed prescriptions and we don’t know which will work, if at all. They then said I could book a fitting appointment which seems to be what I needed all along, but have not replied to confirm if this will be free of charge, given it seems they booked me for the wrong type of appointment originally. I’m still waiting for a response or confirmation that they have sent their final response to my complaint, so I can take it to the next stage.

Very friendly and professional service from all the staff at the Loughborough Gorse Covert branch. Would recommend.

As always, the staff make you welcome and are prepared to offer honest advice on the suitability of frames to match your prescription. Although the range of frames is not exceptional there are enough to fulfil my most customer requirements.

Very impressed best eye test I've ever had. Cassandra explained everything in detail to me showing me pictures of my eyes on screen pointing out any problems. The shop staff very helpful and friendly ,didn't feel rushed at all when choosing frames. Would definitely recommend Scrivens.

Very helpful staff, professional and understanding. Couldn't do enough to help and went above and beyond to help me in collecting my father in law's glasses. Thank you ladies for a smooth transaction and being so very helpful... good customer service these days means alot. Highly recommend this very friendly office.

Got appointment for 9:50 at Selbourne branch in Walthamstow, came at 9:56, little late due to transportation - living London - just to be told to not be serviced in rude and unpleasant way. Person at the desk named Louise (?) said she does not care about reviews and i can get her name - well done, great customer service and empathy. Have gone to competition.

Although I live in Exeter, I am happy to travel 2 hours to get to Scrivens, Weymouth due to the excellent service: they are prompt, they communicate well, they’re friendly and professional. The staff tested my hearing, did a thorough eye test and contact lens test and helped me choose frames for new reading glasses. There was no pressure to buy expensive frames and they were kind and helpful throughout. I have been helped by one lady for years and she has always been fabulous. The new staff were great too. It’s quite a trek to get there from Exeter but I’m not moving opticians.

Had a full eye check. The staff were friendly and made me feel comfortable. Everything was explained from start to finish. Prices and different lenses were also given.

Scrivens Bolton are all lovely and welcoming and very attentive. They have a good range of quality frames and styles. Great opticians 👍🏻

I cannot honestly Scriveners enough recommend them enough. From the day I walked into the opticians up until I received my glasses the customer service was excellent. I went in with the idea of getting the best I could regardless of the cost.All the staff were feindly and polite. Julie who dealt with me throughout the whole process reassured me that I did not need to spend that much money and my needs could be met with spending less. She could have, but did not exploit the situation. I am very happy with my glasses and will be using Scriveners form now on. 10/10

Just attended an annual eye test at Scrivens in Radcliffe Gtr Manchester. Totally professional from entering to leaving. It was a thorough test and all my questions were answered fully with good advice given.Friendly staff ,an all-round great experience. SEE you all next year.

Went to the Swadlincote branch. Very friendly and helpful team. Great selection of services and glasses.
