I wish to thank Alex, Olivia, Miranda, Katie and Nadia at Scrivens, Peacehaven, East Sussex, for their excellent service and professional help throughout the whole process of my recent Sight test and production of my new glasses.
I cannot recommend them highly enough!

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and very efficient - as they always are.
The optician was thorough, explained every stage of the examination, and made sure that I was provided with the correct eyedrops. My glasses were checked, cleaned and tightened.

The whole experience was a pleasure. Nadika and all the staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. I would recommend Howes without hesitation.
Great team work, the atmosphere is uplifting, we walked in stressed after a difficult morning but left laughing.
I always have difficulty choosing frames but between them they chose them for me. Thank you

Great service at Scrivens in Burslem. Booked an eye sight test for my 8 year old daughter, I was so impressed with the service I booked my eye test, after previously being with SS. All of the staff are so lovely and friendly. Highly recommend.

I have been going to Scrivens for several years now but it was my husbands first visit to Scrivens in Radcliffe and he was so glad he went there. Unfortunately he has had a disappointing experience with a large optician company in the past two years as he was prescribed two lots of glasses which made his vision worse and he had to pay for their mistake. The staff in Scrivens make you very welcome and are very professional and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble. He is very happy with his new glasses and he can now read and watch tv with ease.

We always have great customer service. I have converted my husband to go there now.

The manager always sees to our specific needs and will go above and beyond if there are any doubts or questions that he can help with.

The team behind him are always polite and will also help were they can.

Excellent service. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Corrected an incorrect prescription.

I visited the Midsomer Norton branch for an eye test and to order varifocal spectacles.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional.
I had a slight issue with my new lenses (but have done with other companies) and the optician spent at least an hour working out how to correct the problem.
The frames were sent away and the lenses altered and I’m very happy with the new glasses.
The opticians have the knowledge, experience and patience to listen and get the prescription right.

I had a really nice experience at Scrivens today. The staff member were very kind and helpful while I was there.

Haven't had an eye test since 2017. Knew i was overdue. A very professional service. Quite worried as ive got a cataract. But at least i know now

Very happy with the thorough eye test so as the weather was starting to improve I ordered a pair of expensive sunglasses. On collecting them I asked about the offer I’d seen for 2nd pair at half price, as I also needed new varifocal lenses, only to be told as I’d ordered the single vision sunglasses first I didn’t qualify for the offer on my varifocals - even though they would be cheaper that my first pair 😡 I’m not impressed and very disappointed that I was not told this by any of the staff when ordering my first pair.

Have had my spectacles and eye tests here for a number of years and recently used them to replace my NHS hearing aid. Service for both from the Market Deeping branch was fantastic.

Scrivener in Tamworth contacted me for a second visit to have my NHS hearing aids fitted, well how professional the staff are from the gentleman who did all the tests and fitting to the lady who explained on how to fit and take care of my new hearing aids

Just been to Scrivens optician in Peacehaven! Couldn’t find a more friendly team. Very professional!

I had an eye appointment which i can’t fault, however i was charged despite receiving a letter confirming that i qualified for a free eye test.
I emailed after the eye test querying the charge attaching a picture of the letter and asked for a refund. I received a prompt reply saying it was a mistake and i shouldn’t have been sent the letter and they would offer a 50% refund. I went back explained i wouldn’t have had this eye test if it wasn’t free & could’ve had a free one through my work. I heard nothing for more three weeks and only then got a reply as i followed up. The position of ‘50% refund’ was not going to change. I reluctantly accepted and two weeks later i’ve still not had a reply or got my 50% refund. So disappointing as i have been going to scrivens for years.

Scrivens took over my hearing care from my local medical centre, where you could always get urgent appointments or an appointment within a week. I emailed them in February about an issue with my hearing aid tubes and 6 weeks later, no response. I called them, and they said the email was never received, funny that as every other email I send to anyone, arrives in their inbox! I explained I needed replacement tubes as mine had developed a kink and was affecting my ability to hear, and was told the earliest appointment was 2nd June some 8 weeks away and not in Steyning but in Hove. The soonest I could get at Steyning was the 15th June, 2 weeks later. They couldn't give a damn about NHS patients now so we're at the back of the queue behind their paying customers. They weren't even apologetic. Shocking service

I’ve been using Scrivens in Aldridge for several years now, and always had professional and attentive service. They answer my questions and provide advice wherever needed. Definitely the best optician locally.

From start to finish everything went smoothly. Great service, friendly staff
