re seating. On objecting and telling he should focus on road, he started shouting telling than one kid had already broken the AC vent in a previous ride and our kid will break it again. We agreed to keep the child away. In middle of the trip, he started accusing that our child had broken his AC vent and started shouting and threatening me and my wife. He created a ruckus in the society which caused security people also to come and request him to settle down. He blocked the common road and started making weird allegations that we had damaged her car by closing the door with force. We had to terminate our trip in the middle with 4 hours left worrying about our safety. The reason for booking savaari was expecting some trust and safety but this was opposite. We will take full legal recourse especially about the false allegations made by the driver and the way he threatened my family. Customer care is fully aware of the case but I don't expect anything fruitful. I just hope they do background checks before employing such individuals. Please avoid this service for your own safety. I am sure they will tell lies about my complaint.

Never book from Savari

Never book from Savari. They are scammers. Drivers stopped in between to consume more time for food, washroom, CNG. They are waiting for the day to get over so that they can charge for the next day that to completely. Driver was driving rashly. Hit other car at tool. If there could be any option for giving negative star, I would have given -100. Dont fall for this trap.

pathetic

I had a very disappointing experience with Savari. The condition of the car provided was absolutely terrible—definitely not what I had paid for or was promised. The front windshield was cracked, and the car was old, poorly maintained, and had a Delhi registration despite requesting a newer vehicle.

Although the driver was a polite and well-meaning young man, he clearly lacked proper driving experience, especially for night travel, which made the journey uncomfortable and concerning.

What’s worse is Savari’s attitude toward complaints. They seemed completely uninterested in customer satisfaction and kept insisting everything was fine rather than acknowledging the issues or offering any resolution. There is a clear lack of quality control and accountability.

Next time, I’d rather book with a local vendor where I can inspect the vehicle or at least get accurate details upfront.

Avoid Savari if you can. Not worth the hassle or the money.

Pathetic

Unfortunately, I decided to give this car rental company another chance by booking a cab today for a city round trip. However, they canceled the trip at the last minute, citing non-payment as the reason.
I had opted to pay the driver directly—how am I supposed to pay when the trip hasn’t even started?

When I called their customer service, the representative who answered sounded half-asleep.
I honestly wish I had recorded the call—her flat, unbothered tone made me lose all interest in even voicing my complaint, let alone expecting any kind of resolution.
In my earlier experience, the cars were so dirty that I felt uncomfortable even sitting inside.
This was my third bad experience. I thought the first two were just bad luck and decided to give them another try—my mistake.

Uninstalling their app now.

When a company stops valuing its customers, it marks the beginning of its decline.
I hope they wake up before it’s too late.

I booked a round-trip cab from Delhi to…

I booked a round-trip cab from Delhi to Jibhi. I asked the driver to take us to Jalori Pass, which is just 12 km from Jibhi. He refused, claiming that a CNG Ertiga can't go there. However, when I reached Jalori Pass, I saw several Ertigas there. I felt scammed, as I had to pay an additional ₹2,300 to hire a local cab.

When I confronted the driver, he said he wasn't aware of the route. I also contacted Savaari customer support, but they were of no help—completely useless.

I would recommend booking with another cab service or arranging one offline.

I had a terrible experience and will most likely never book again. Driver had a very bad attitude. He arrived late. He was taking smoke break every now n then leaving us in the car for good 20-30 min. He fiddled with kilometer reading. He wanted to stay with us in my relative’s house. I was astonished that how can someone be so rude and unprofessional. He also exchanged some stuff on highway with some stranger. When I asked him why did he stop the vehicle, he said that he brought uniform for him. Overall, a very bad experience. Enough to spoil my whole trip.

I had to finally complain and send him back. I was terrified to travel back with him.

We had booked one month in advance…

We had booked one month in advance from Patna to Prayagraj . They had taken token advance too, but at the last minute one day prior to arrival to Patna , they expressed regret to provide a cab. This is not good from their side.

Savaari.com has gone to DOGS - avoid!

UPDATE on 9/2/2025:
Since the original review below, Mr Manik got back to me, apologized, and offered an INR 2000 coupon, which I have used successfully. I am satisfied with the response and have updated the rating. However, Savaari still needs to work on setting up a high-value Client division.

Original Review:
I have been a user of Savaari.com Car rental company of India for over 3 years now and I was generally happy with their service until now. However, my recent experience tells me NOT to trust them and use them anymore.
They tout “Transparent Billing” but each of the following would explain where it’s not transparent – except to Savaari and their drivers.
Recently I made a booking with them for the Bhopal-many places including Agra and Delhi-Bhopal trip. This was for 2034 KM and 7 calendar days.
(1) Even when they knew that the driver had to return from Delhi to Bhopal, they never told me I would have to release the car 12-13 hours before the last day ended so Driver could return to Bhopal. Because of this, I ended up not using a portion of the services and had to make another booking for Agra-Delhi with another vendor. This also resulted in me forfeiting over a 100 KM I had already paid for – and no refund of course.
(2) Every day driver would take the car on a ride searching for cheaper food while I foot the bill for the extra KMs that he drove. That the drivers are allowed to do this was NOT part of the contract given to me.
(3) Driver would also take longer routes and detours to search for CNG (cheaper than Gasoline or Diesel) while I foot the bill for such long drives (more KM!) while such detours were also wasting my time. Again, the fact that the drivers are allowed to do this was NOT part of the contract given to me.
(4) Finally, as I released the driver from Agra back to Bhopal, I also had to pay INR 905 for his return toll while a perfectly good and shorter highway was available for that drive - but no, customer be damned – this is Savaari! And yet again, the fact that I had to pay the return tolls no matter what was NOT part of the contract given to me.
As a foreigner, I had no Indian SIM so I asked them to call me on my foreign number which they couldn’t. So, I called them but their phone system wouldn’t accept that call. So, the only communication was via email. That’s the Savaari Customer Service for you.
All in all, after this episode, I am sure not to use them anymore. And you shouldn’t too.

Think Twice Before Booking with Savaari Car Rentals – Hidden Costs Await!

Update as on 7th Jan 2025:
Team Savaari has come back calculating a random refund of Inr.5,000/- as vs my claim of Inr.12,000/- excess charged, to which I have refused and asked for clear break up of the charges alongwith receipts for tolls and parkings charged! So current situation is they are charging Inr.75,000/- for a trip of 1511.70km.

Beware of Hidden Charges and Unfair Practices at Savaari Car Rentals I had an extremely disappointing experience with Savaari Car Rentals during a trip to South India. What was supposed to be a smooth rental turned into a series of hidden charges, unfair practices, and poor service.
Here's a breakdown:
Exorbitant Charges Beyond the Quoted Price: Initially quoted at ₹57,569, we ended up paying ₹80,731—a difference of over ₹23,000. The main issue was the KM limit of 1176 km that we missed noticing. The driver failed to point out the odometer reading throughout the trip, and only when we asked during the last leg of the journey was the excess revealed. While we did have a detour due to medical emergency, it's unclear how 1176 km was the agreed limit, and this was not communicated upfront.
Unjustified Extra Charges: New car model charge: We were charged extra for a new model, even though we already paid a premium for it. Luggage carrier charge: We never used the luggage carrier but were billed for it.
Late-night charges: The driver took the NEW car off for repairs, meaning we had no car for one evening, so while we had no compensation for that, but we were still billed for 1 late-night since we exceeded the duty hours by an hour or so.
Toll and taxes: We were charged for tolls and taxes without receiving any receipts or proper documentation.
Round-trip Charge for One-Way Journey: We ended our trip in Trivandrum, not the city where we began, yet we were charged for a round trip. This calculated to an additional 235 km—charges for which we have not traveled. This is highly unfair and unheard of in the car rental industry.
Final Bill Discrepancy: Also our final calculation for paying was presented on the last day of the trip, late in the evening, when we were too exhausted to properly question or verify the charges, leading to us paying in full under protest. And interestingly enough a fortnight after the trip, Savaari presented a final bill of only ₹57,000, conveniently ignoring the ₹80,000 we had already paid. We have written to them for a correct final bill, but they haven't reverted!
In short, Savaari Car Rentals initially attracts customers with lower prices, only to pile on unjust charges once you're committed. This has been a highly traumatic experience, and I feel deceived and taken advantage of.
Their lack of transparency and refusal to clarify charges after the trip is incredibly frustrating. I urge potential customers especially people traveling from other countries to be very cautious when booking with them. Make sure to review every detail in the contract and ask for clear breakdowns of all charges beforehand. Do not fall for the bait-and-switch tactics they use.

Update: Finally after a lot of back and forth Savaari did refund ₹10,160/- but this was only after I presented them with a calculation of the kms travelled with help of google maps..very frustrating experience indeed!

There is no good safety protocols for night travel. They prolong the trip and make the travel super tedious.

My mother recently took a cab service from Bangalore to Chennai to visit an extended family member death which was an emergency. The driver assigned had no experience driving in the nights and had no proper rest or preparation for a night time drive. He kept on stopping the car in between for multiple hours in the name of rest and slept off. He parked the car near the lorry parked places and my mother was alone and she was super worried for her safety since it was night and she was traveling alone. The 7 hr travel became 13 hrs!! She board the car at 8 pm and was dropped in Chennai at 9 am the next day for the distance of 361 kms. It was an horrible experience and there is no proper safety measures or protocol. They won’t even refund the amount. I never recommend Savaari at all.

Please don't go for this I request u guys .. service which they provide is pathetic. Not at all ideal for family because yesterday I had very bad experience with them ... My booked vehicle has some issue in between and these guys just asking me to pay the money whatever kms u travelled and manage on ur own ..I was with my family at a place where I don't find any cab or taxi... And their sevice like will not care for u and they will not at all call back or ask if any help is required.

I request u guys .. if u reading this review please don't book cabs with them.

Driver was rash driving and eating ghutka in between alot .. initially they said sir don't worry about car condition and driver .. and while going with these people paying whatever they asked .. u will get worst sevice .. and they say sir company policy cannot help it .. u should manage on ur own... Terrible experience

I rented a car from Savari, New Delhi on Sept 7th, 2024, to take my family to father-in-law funeral from Ghaziabad to Haridwar. I talked to reservation agent and explained him the reason of rental. He agreed to send car by 8:30 AM. Car arrived at 9:00 AM. Just before entering the NH, the driver informed that he needs petrol. He went to a petrol pump with 30 mins wait time, due to holiday. We arrived in Haridwar. On the way back just outside the car broke down. I talked to the driver, he said it is not starting. I could hear cranking noise myself over the phone. I asked him to call for another car, while I was holding phone. His call to the service center was not going through. I called the number +91 9045450000. After pressing 3, I got an agent. Who put me on hold saying that he is going to try to connect to the driver. Earlier an agent had said that they are having difficulty connecting to the driver, when I was not having any issue. I worked myself to arrange for another car from other vendor to bring them home. At present at (9:30 PM (IST)) they are on the road, with a unknown car and driver.

Terrible experience

The driver spitted on my face, he was trying to spit outside but hit my face, disgusting.
The car was a mess. The driver stopped three times while we never asked for stopping.
He asked money for the fuel while it was included, we said no and he apologized for trying…

SCAM SCAM !

SCAM SCAM !! It was one the most horrible experience on taxi rentals in India. We booked a taxi from Delhi airport to Bareilly with Savaari.Com. I made it very clear that what kind of taxi I needed. However upon arriving the taxi was very dirty, very small compare to what I had booked the biggest taxi since I had my family with me long with large luggage items. When we tried to contact Savaari, they were most unprofessional, unhelpful and said that they can’t do anything or change taxi and my trip has already started and I have to pay the canceling fee of up to 50%. Very rude behaviour from the Savaari employees and from the driver. DO NOT BOOK FROM SAVAARI EVER !!!

Worst experience with Savaari

Worst experience with Savaari. My honest feedbacknis not to avail their services. The most unreliable and unprofessional organisation.
We took their service from BLR - MAHA- Pondi-Maha- BLR. The car navigator didn't work, left mirror was broken, untidy car. The driver didn't take bath for 4 days.

1. I was really unhappy with the unprofessionalism of savaari. The driver given to me didn’t cooperated throughout the trip. Wherever i was wishing to visit for tourist spot he was giving a one or other reason to skip the spot. He knew that overall trip was from banglore>ooty>mysoore>coorg>banglore which will not reach 1500 km..Therefore he was refusing to visit far away places just with an intention to save money on diesel..Is this how savaari gives training to their drivers? Due to this i was not able to visit many tourist spots and my whole trip was ruined.
2. The driver was at many a times talking on phone while driving which was scary and not safety. (Proof is attached herewith).
3. The driver charged me 1500 for permit of tamilnadu. I asked him to show the permit as i wanted to see whether he has purchased it or not? When was it purchased? What is its validity? But he didn’t showed. As i was late for flight he took the advantage and started arguing..Is this type of driver savaari hires?
4. Driver took the advantage of our numb behaviour and charged his food bills in our bills without our prior permission at many spots and hotels. Unfortunately he created a embarrassing situation and we didn’t want to spoil our trip by arguing with him..but i had to pay his total bill of Rs 2000 which he lastly denied to settle and started arguing at airport..Highly pathetic from savaari’s driver..If i am paying such a huge amount then why savaari is not training their driver to spend his part by himself..

Very disappointed by choosing savaari car and ruining my whole trip..instead i have chosen some another option..Highly pathetic on savaari side for keeping such a “Lootere” drivers for charging extra rupees and refusing to visit the tourist places of our choice..

Shoddy Service

This is to express my utter disappointment with the service offered by Savaari today. My aged parents had a pickup from Kolkata Airport at 7.30pm. The driver informed us at 7.30pm that his car had broken down. I immediately informed Mr. Sonu from the Savaari team and he said alternate driver details will be shared. Little did I know that the alternate cab he is sending is an Uber. The Uber driver started asking for the PIN of the ride and had no clarity on how the payment will be made. My parents were clueless and so was I. The original driver informed me that I can just book an Uber, share a screenshot and he will pay whatever amount I have to pay extra. than the remaining payable amount to Savaari (INR 347). But now the driver has stopped responding. My parents had to wait for a cab in the rain and I had to book an ultra expensive cab on Uber. Don't go for Savaari.

Pathetic experience

Pathetic experience! Never book a cab through them. We 4 females, out of which two are kids have been stranded in the middle of nowhere with a broken cab, which broke down twice, and the company has refused to take any onus or provide us with any solution. Leave aside providing any solution after this horrendous play with the safety of women Co. had the audacity to reply that take any action you want against us but we have NO SOLUTION for you just closing your trip here (middle of nowhere). We had to find our way back ourselves and scrap our program after this harassment faced by the Savaari.
So be assured if you are booking a cab through them you are PLAYING WITH YOUR SAFETY. especially if you are a FEMALE. They have no concern with your Life or Safety whatsoever, just minting money.

Ride from Hell with Savaari.com

Ride from Bangalore Airport to Bangalore City

1. The driver refused to increase the a/c setting and left me sweating in the back of the car.

2. When I told him I would complain - his response was ok do what you want. When I did call Savaari (a) the person on the call had no solutions for me (b) this crook driver raised the a/c flow and only for a few minutes

3. When we arrived at my drop of point - after almost 2 hours in traffic, I was drenched in sweat and I had business meetings to attend. The driver immediately switched the car off as I was reaching out to my contact inside the building to come get me. I requested him to keep the car running and he wouldn’t listen to me.

4. I had had enough at that point of this rude and thug driver. I told him I would pay Savaari directly, he immediately refused to give me my luggage which was in the trunk. He forced me to pay him Rs 1140 before giving me my luggage.

5. During the last interaction I was concerned about my physical safety.

I have repeated all these points to three different Savaari reps. All I got from them was we will check with the driver. What this tells me is Savaari has no recourse for the customer in case of such situations. Two of the reps promised call backs and never called.

So in short - the driver gave me a ride from hell! Refused to release my luggage if I didn’t pay and created an unsafe situation for me.

I want my money refunded as I shouldn’t have to pay for such an experience. After waiting for 6 hours for a call back, I decided to not risk my well-being with another Savaari ride (from Ritz Carlton to Bangalore airport) and cancelled that ride.

Now after communicating over multiple emails with a "Operations Executive" I have been offered a canned apology and a refund of Rs 200. This person writes from two different email ids - Namra Sadaf and Aishwarya Roy

For a complaint filed on April 16th 2024, Savaari.com responded on September 2, 2025. I still dont have my refund for a service that shouldnt be charged. I have not used Savaari.com since that day in April 2024, and that is not going to change either. I have informed my entire extended family of the same as I wouldn't want them to have such an unsafe and unsatisfactory experience.
