The service from bottom to top was subpar at best. The housing sales group seemed to not know how to do there jobs, or ensuring that the homeowner myself was aware of the various contacts with other entities that we were having issues with. We had problems with the loan department and at one time had 3 separate loan officers requesting the same information. Additionally, our closing date shifted multiple times, it shifted so much so that we were forced to put more money down as the terms of the loan changed and the taxes had to be adjusted to meet the delays. We were also forced to pay for the furnishment of the home well prior to the agreed upon date from the home sales group. It was told to us that we would pay for the furniture at closing, but 2 weeks after going into escrow we were pressured and ultimately forced to pay for the furniture as we were receiving threats that if we didn't pay we would lose the all furnishings. The loan officers have no business in there roles, and the whole process and individuals included should be forced to retake or engage in training in customer service, promptness, and customer awareness. This whole process was a nightmare and there is absolutely no way that I or my family would recommend Richmond to anyone. This has to be the worst decision we have made as a family. We have had multiple home buying experiences and this was by far the absolute worst! The day of closing there wasn't even sales associates or any sort of supervisor/manager to give us the documents and keys to our house. We were told to come back the next day. Just to be clear we closed on the house at 130pm, scheduled to pick up keys at 4pm. This time frame is well within the respectable time frame for work hours.

Richmond American employs wonderful staff who care about their buyers. The whole buying process was easy and painless. I love that the homes come pre designed and includes all of the appliances, hardware, etc. My home is beautiful and was crafted well with quality materials.

Best home buying experience I’ve had. I love our new house!

Had a great experience working with Richmond American Homes for our very first home buying process. The sales rep were very helpful and the process was as smooth as it could be. New home is very pleasant.

In all honesty, I didn’t get to pick a lot of the features when I bought the house. The builder already started building the house when I bought it.

Richmond American is a large company with good overall performance. Nothing spectacular like you would get from a world-class builder, just good. No major issues to note, just working through small things.

The entire process was so smooth.
As a first time home buyer, I was a bit nervous because of sorting stories I’ve heard when purchasing a house. However, it was not like that at all with Richmond American Homes. I would highly recommend it anybody who’s in the market.

Richmond American Homes build houses fast... really fast. So fast that their construction crews don't know how to use a level or check their work. So fast the dry wallers will hang drywall on a wall well out of level and use mud to try and cover it. So fast, they miss cracked bath tubs and chipped glass shower enclosures. Speed over quality should be their corporate motto. Our sales experience was GREAT, but they can only put so much lipstick on a pig. Oh... and after you close, your first call to the warranty department tells you that it may take 30 days to get to your problems. GOOD LUCK with that experience. They were happy to collect your money, good at it. They are NOT good at QA or taking care of warranty issues. Oh... don't even consider using their mortgage company, what a TRAIN WRECK. Find a reliable and quality bank to finance your home, you WILL regret it if you use them.

The sales staff are amazing.

From the moment we stepped into the sales office, we felt that our needs as a buyer were going to be met. This builder far exceeded our expectations. From the sales office to the construction supervisor, we were blown away! I would highly recommend this builder to anyone considering a move into the Tucson area.

I value great customer service and that's what I received. Everyone was patient, friendly and helpful. All of my questions and concerns were addressed in a timely manner.

They assist you like for example my agent Brian was always there for me to answer any questions even when he is at home

The sales team and mortgage people were amazing. Quality of the build could be and should be a whole lot better. Definitely need more attention to detail. Our exterior still needs a lot of things to be fixed on it and it's been a month since we closed.

It has been a challenging experience to get warranty issues resolved through the builder. Despite more than 30 days having passed, the construction team has not addressed over 10 rollover items. Prospective buyers should be advised not to close the purchase until all major reported issues are fixed by the move-in date or until there is a written commitment to resolve them within a couple of weeks.
