We purchased a home in Hope Springs in Star, Idaho in October. Our home is beautiful, but unfortunately we had a terrible experience. The sales agent named Catherine was very rude, unresponsive, didn’t seem like she knew how to do her job & was completely unprofessional. She took 5 days to get our purchase agreement over to our lender which almost delayed our closing. She completely ruined the experience of buying our home. We love the community but Richmond American is very pushy with using them for everything which we didn’t. And because we had our own agent the sales agent couldn’t be bothered & made it a very difficult experience. There are also many things that need to be fixed as agreed to prior to move in & 30 days later no update.

I love my new home! It’s perfect for my growing family❤️ the Community definitely needs to add speed bumps But overall, very happy with my purchase

The promise of repairs being done and the house being clean by close were unmet. They promised they’d get to everything. After closing, we were no longer priority and major issues with the house remain unfixed. The one thing they did send someone to fix, an uneven spot on the floor, was left a disaster by the repair person. They have poor quality control and don’t hire quality contractors. The sales team was nice, that’s the only positive about our experience.

Very knowledgeable and helpful people, short process, great price for the quality and the size of the house.

This company is the definition of dishonesty and cheap practices. They use the lowest quality materials and unskilled labor to cut corners, leaving buyers with homes that feel more like fragile boxes than places to live. Their customer service is nonexistent—trying to get any kind of support or follow-up is like shouting into a void. As for the sales reps and escrow agents? Flat-out liars. They’ll say anything to close the deal, then disappear when you need help. Save yourself the frustration and heartache.
As a first-time homebuyer, I feel completely deceived and disgusted by Richmond American Homes. They market their communities as ‘resort-style living,’ but that couldn’t be further from the truth. For a neighborhood with over 500 homes, there’s only one small pool and a single park, which are grossly inadequate for the number of residents. On top of that, the HOA fees are ridiculously high and were promised to decrease as construction was completed. Instead, they just keep increasing with no explanation or improvements. The entire experience feels like a scam. This company preys on first-time buyers with flashy advertisements and empty promises, but the reality is a poorly planned community with minimal amenities and zero accountability with a shady HOA to top it off, they make decisions without consulting the community. I regret choosing Richmond American Homes and strongly urge others to look elsewhere.

The foreman is helpfully and friendly and is working this week to get the few finishing cosmetic items done overall a great team a beautiful home and a great neighborhood.

It was a great experience, we buy house in quick time and they make a surely process. They gave us trust and answers very nicely

The on-site sales representative and on-site construction supervisor at Piazza Serena La Quinta are the 2 people that made this experience great. They were very helpful, available and addressed every issue or question I had. They responded quickly and took care of or helped facilitate getting things corrected or fixed on the property quickly. I felt like they truly cared about my daughter and I, by making the move in process seamless and stress free! Thank you!

Overall good experience with this home purchase. I would recommend implementing some choices for the homeowner to make the home feel more personal.

Decent quality homes at a good price point.

Do not buy from Richmond American homes. We purchased a home in Nampa, Id and it was a horrible Experience. There were many problems with the home. Trying to get anything fixed is impossible. You send in a warranty request and they never respond. If they do, they do not follow up and they lie about when they will show up. We have many homeowners in Hartland who are absoutly discussed with the builder. Trying to get someone from corporate to respond is impossible. I asked to have Mediation as in out contract and they refused. I will be filing legal action against this company

My house is beautiful, in love with my home, layout is good is a open space but it gives you the space to kind of divide your living room from kitchen and dinning area, master bedroom is super big (master closet is another room) all rooms are spacious. Loft is big as well.

My only complaint is when I got my house it was very dusty LOTS of bugs in and outside the house reported some issues on walk thru and before closing I have a month and 2 weeks and is still the same it hasn't been resolve, hopefully it will soon

And the construction happening at 4am with loud construction noise like there's no care giving 😑 is crazy

Absolutely awful experience and terrible quality.

Lending process was a complete nightmare with qualifications changing every other day, finishes that are used in the home are the cheapest you can buy yet we paid top dollar for them, the flooring and countertops are cheap, the noise we can hear outside while we are inside is far louder than it should be. Our island split, floor is bubbling, doors don’t shut, closet doors don’t slide, shelves in closets are bare minimum designed, dishwasher is awful, carpet and padding is cheap, plants put in were already dead, I could go on & on. I’m not someone who typically complains or leaves negative reviews but I will never recommend Richmond to anyone

The best customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. Megan was really proactive and made sure the whole process was less stressful for us. The whole staff of Richmond American homes were very professional and that’s really satisfying when you realize they’re still at your service even after the move in.

The issues in our new home do not align with the level of quality and excellence promised by Richmond Homes.

Richmond America Homes' employees are professionals, patient, knowledgeable, excellent customer relationship. They worked as a team and in a friendly and family-like environment. They are the best. I would recommend them to my families and friends who are thinking of buying a home. Thank you very much Richmond American Homes, from the bottom of my heart.
