The home had issues throughout and were not fixed prior to moving in. Workmanship is terrible; trash and debris were left behind walls, causing bulging of baseboard and walls. Electrical installation were not installed correctly and junction box were covered behind walls; which causes smoke alarms and vents to not have power. Framing and walls were misaligned and issues have yet to be reconciled after 6 months. Among many other issues. The home felt used rather than new. Excuses were that these are tract homes, which is unacceptable as we still paid a premium for a new build.

Large slider, huge pantry, RV garage, biggest kitchen island with tons of storage, large lot with the cascade mountain range in site. We love it here!!

Great home! Find the salesperson that works for YOU. We had two very different experiences with sales people on both ends of the spectrum, horrible and amazing. Once we found the right sales person, she completely changed our experience and we bought the home! It has been amazing the first 2 months.

The quality of build, design, plan, choice of appliances, upgrades, insulation are amazing. Very impressed with Richmond American Homes. Very less complaints and non-major issues with the home during the closing. And after moving in, the warranty department of Richmond American Homes is also very friendly and courteous to address each concern on priority.

The sales team we spoke with was very friendly and kind. They were very understanding and patient with us. We feel like we found our forever home. We are so happy with this new chapter of our families life. There are a few things that could've been better for the price we paid. But small stuff and it might just be me feeling this was because again the prices in CA are so high. But overall the team of people we got were very professional and kind. We feel lucky to have been able to have a pretty smooth experience overall. We are happy with our home.

Overall, I am disappointed with my experience. I work in the customer service industry, so I have certain expectations. When a customer is making a significant investment, they should be treated as if they are your only priority. Unfortunately, I felt like just another "small" customer. The focus seemed entirely just the purchase, and it felt like they forgot about making sure the house was ready. Now, I find myself having to reach out to them to complete tasks that should have been finished before the purchase date. My life is quite busy, and I don’t have the time to chase after people to fulfill their responsibilities.

Paint in some areas is very lightly coated, there was dust all over the door panels, under the island, and in the cabinets, it felt like this house was not cleaned and we were very disappointed. I am still trying to wash the floors to get them clean, I am still waiting for the kitchen cabinets to be complete, the kitchen hood was mounted with the manufacturer protective sticker still on, so it looks ugly, same thing with the oven I had to dismount the entire thing just to peel off the sticker…..after move in it took weeks to get the shower completed, the floor took weeks to complete, we were missing blinds for the bathroom window which took weeks to get one. The kitchen. It’s been almost 8 weeks since our initial walk through and almost 6 weeks since move in and the cabinets are still not completed. Very disappointed in Richmond. Holly the Sales representative has been amazing.

The worst experience, threatening process, home still isn’t fit to live in, would never recommend, buyer beware

The sales rep had no idea what he was talking about, every single question we asked, was given incorrect information, (at one point we were told our house came with NO lights, some of the information almost caused us to be unable to close on time, and the paperwork for closing on my parents house was not correct delaying closing by hours. On my day of closing the process was messed up by bad information given, and while waiting for the final conformation, I had movers waiting with everything loaded and closing agent let us know at the last second, everything was finalized and I had a half hour to make it back to the office or I would not be able to get my keys to move in till Monday, when I had moving trucks loaded. Just utterly ridiculous issues that make an already stressful day unnecessarily frustrating.

They have great deals and at least above average quality houses!

We had a wonderful experience with all of Richmond's staff and representatives. When we pointed out an item for repair, Richmond did not ask any questions, and they promptly undertook the appropriate action. We would recommend buying a Richmond home.

We get in love with an specific house but it was too expensive for our budget, but Richmond make posible for us to the get our dream home, everything was super easy and on time, thank you Richmond American

The quickest closing that we’ve had, less than 3 weeks. Wendy is a gem of Richmond American, she is very knowledgeable and accommodating. Great idea of this builder to have their condo looks like a Single Family Home. We love it here and would recommend to everyone who’s looking for a place to live. I would say this is a thriving community and great for any family who is looking for a place that they can call it home.

Richmond displayed a lack of integrity, prioritizing their interest over homebuyers, they are not here to help you so please always have a realtor with you! Pay for new build home inspection. Look for poor craftsmanship before you even put an offer. Question everything if you choose to buy with them.
