In My View, it's A Scam
In my view, ResumeNerd is a scam.
I signed up, paid the 14 day trial for $2.75. The automatic continuation of $34.75 is NOT
clearly marked, nor is there a notification email sent prior to the automatic billing that informs you that if you don't cancel, you will be automatically charged. Neither is there a notification sent that you have been billed. I only discovered this when I found the charge on my credit card. When I found the charge, I immediately contacted ResumeNerd. To their credit, they responded immediately, but refunded only half of the $34.75.
To be clear, I used the service exactly once to generate a resume. There is nothing unique about their service. You simply fill in a number of fields in a template and it creates a formatted document for you and creates a very basic resume - nothing you couldn't easily do on your own, or even find for free elsewhere. For comparison, I took an existing version of my resume and sent it to ChatGPT. The results from ChatGPT were significantly better, and it was free. With all of this, there was no need to continue, and I completely forgot about ResumeNerd until I noticed the charge on my credit card.
When ResumeNerd responded with the partial refund, I replied that their response was inadequate and that I had used the service exactly once, was unhappy with the result and I was not informed of any charges or that I would be charged. I have also requested a full GDPR deletion (which they are legally obligated to so and to confirm) of all of my information from their systems. I have sent several subsequent messages to ResumeNerd, and in spite of their very prompt first response, my subsequent emails have been ignored.
I recommend that you stay away from ResumeNerd and find a better, lower cost provider that will actually be responsive you customer concerns and provide appropriate refunds if you are unhappy with what they provide or how they bill.

Scam company. I cancelled my subscription the right after a made a resume and they still charged me for an extra 3 months until I called in and cancelled. They’re going to tell you it didn’t say in the system that you tried to cancel or some bs.

User Friendly. Also, there is an actual phone number that you can speak to an actual human. The customer service was polite as well. I just feel like $23.75/mo. to build a resume is extreme. Unless you are trying to change your career regularly, I don't see the need to have a site like this running constantly at that price.

This site is a scam! I remember canceling this after the trial fee. This is ridiculously luckily I found this because I’ve been getting charged for 6 months!!!!!
