I ordered two items recently. Only one was delivered. I contacted the company via email to raise this and was told that it would be raised with the courier company and I would receive a response within 4 business days. I heard nothing. After 4 days I contacted them again and was told the same thing. I asked for a refund, a request that was ignored.

I am no closer to a resolution and suspect that I will never receive either the item nor the refund.

Save yourself a lot of stress and buy from a different store!

A word of warning for anyone wanting to shop on-line with a gift card from #PlatypusShoes.

Recently I placed an order for $189.99 and added in details of my $100 gift card. I then added my credit card details to cover the balance of the order only to discover next day that the full amount of the order was taken from my credit card.

Despite numerous emails requesting $100 be refunded on my credit card, I keep getting told that they can not do it.

If I want a refund I am required to return the shoes! Yet I want the shoes and any refund will still leave me with a gift card and exposed to the same checkout issues yet again if I were to use it!

This is an intransigent organisation with poor customer service.

Useless Customer Service! Will never buy again.
Did not try to solve my issue instead kept giving me reasons.

Ordered two hats, only received one and when it turned up it had an oil stain on it, and wasn’t packaged adequately so my hat was damaged i transit, they don’t offer exchange / replacements either so I’m pretty annoyed, if I want to exchange the closest store is 3 hours / 300km away, real let down, won’t be bothering with them again.

It's hard to tell from pics whether the shoes have laces. I didn't want laces. I contacted customer service and they charged me $10 to send them back. They had received the returned goods but no refund. I contacted customer service again and they said they would look into it. They sent me an email and refused to refund because the shoes were worn or damaged. I virtually tried them on and decided that I did like them because of the laces and returned them the next day. I have filed a dispute with Paypal. So much for their return policy and never have I had to pay to return goods. They have since returned to shoes to me, argggghhhhh.

Bought some shoes online and paid for express delivery which should be 1-2 days. they have not even been shipped yet. Stick to other stores like JD sports etc

I made a mistake on my order and contacted them even as paypal was finalising it. Customer service lied to me and told me it was ALREADY DISPATCHED. Utter scum. I've started a process through paypal, but I bet I will have to wait for the shoes to arrive, pay to return them, and go find similar shoes somewhere else because I am not giving them my money. What a despicable business.

One star is generous. spend time to place order and after couple of hour late always get an email that they do not have stock. To make it worse they send 20% discount code for full priced item. Pathetic company with bad customer service

Trying to get any helpful solutions from the online customer service is so dam frustrating and unhelpful. What happened to talking to someone directly on the phone?

Excellent service! Fast and safe delivery. Delivery status was updated daily, which was very useful. The shoes I ordered ( two pairs of Palladium shoes from Platypus Shoes New Zealand) are great quality and are exactly as described on the website. True to size too. Thank you very much for such an easy and great on-line shopping experience.

My package arrived empty about 3.5 weeks ago.
Contacted them straight away and there still enquiring about it it's just about been 1 month for 1 or 2 pairs of socks. I won't be back sadly. Was a fav store once up on a time

Still waiting on my order, been calling the stores, they gave me the customer service number, you cant even call it during the day or night, voicemail says their customer service of offline.

Ordered shoes from their so called sale on the first of june, today, still waiting. Only one pair showed up.

I cant even get a hold of anyone to ask whats on the 2nd parcel if all my shoes are on there or not, the online msging option, been waiting for a response for 20mins. Still nothing but has a "response time of 1minute. Or it will say theyre sleeping.

Why is it so hard to contact customer service?

Why is it offline on weekdays and weekend, tried day and night.. nothing.

Feel like they just took my money and sent a bunch of emails and thats it.. sure blame it on the kings birthday that was one day... not a week.

Wish i could leave 0 starts.. even the online app was terrible... trying to select and look at each option the going back sends you right back at the top. Took me over and hour almost 2 to place a damn order. Now its delayed when it says 1-3days.

I'm suprised at all the negative experiences. I purchased my daughter a pair of shoes online. They came very quickly but didn't fit her. It was easy to take into the shop for a proper fitting and exchange

I've purchased, online, a few items from Platypus in the last few months.
They've all been received exactly as ordered and took at least a week to arrive (I live rurally).
One of my purchases, the boots were too small however that was my doing due to not changing the sizing from UK to US. I returned these in-store with no problems.
When choosing your sizing, especially for women, make sure you choose the right size in either US or UK. I have noticed that the sizing for us defaults to UK Women's.

Bought A PAIR of Birkenstock sandals online.
Only receive ONE sandal and it looks like it has been worn, even though the tag is still attached.
Rang Newmarket (Auckland) store but NO APOLOGIES at all, instead asking from which store and saying they can ask the store to send the other sandal.
Hell no! Rather have my money back.
Service is really bad.
Never ever go back to Platypus to buy anything!!

I wish I had read these reviews before making an online order. The shoes I was after were not available near me so I thought great, Ill just get them online. WRONG.
I ordered a size 9 and ended up with an 8.5 (mind you this size option isnt even available on their website for purchase). I contacted them immediately, speaking to a customer service agent online named Tee, thinking it would be an easy fix – they'd send me the right size, I'd send the wrong size back. WRONG AGAIN. The only option is for me to 1) go into a store and exchange the shoes (after ordering them online and paying $15 delivery because no store close to me has them in stock) or 2) package them up, print out a label, go into the post office, send them back, wait for a refund, and also re-order the shoes, pay delivery again, hope to get fully refunded and hope they send me the correct size.

Its honestly the most convoluted, disappointing and ridiculous situation Ive ever dealt with. How does a company as big as Platypus make such a poor and obvious mistake and then offer no real solution other than "suck it up"?

Im now currently trying to sort out a refund (which means I have to go out of my way to repack the shoes, print a shipping label, and go into the post office) and insisting that the delivery fee is also included in that refund. So we'll see what happens.

First time customer, and definitely the last time. Ordering direct from the brand, even if you are paying more, is surely way for efficient. i do not recommend anyone purchasing online from Platypus because looking at their reviews, this is a REGULAR occurence.

Ordered a size 7, got sent a 5 for some reason. Judging by other reviews this happens quite a bit. No-one replied to my email so I went into the store to exchange. Were sold out of the 7 so had to get a refund, what a waste of time. I've bought a couple of pairs in store no issues, it's just the online ordering experience that is terrible

Bad website design. fire the damn idiot that works on the website in your headoffice because I can tell you that they don't know what they are doing.

- Ordered shoes. Sent the incorrect size.
- Returned pair of shoes- went to the Post Office to do so.
- Re-ordered pair of shoes. They gave me free shipping for the same (after I asked for it).
- AGAIN sent incorrect size. The same incorrect size I might add. Clearly a glitch in the system.
- Despite being frustrated out of my mind, again contacted Customer Service and kept my cool. Requested that the correct size be sent and someone to personally oversee this, and get a further discount for my inconvenience (reasonable request).
- Platypus refused the above. Offered me a ridiculous 20% off full price items. Offered a return through the same channels as the previous pair. Wow, thanks, that does nothing to solve the problem. Despite me being totally polite and saying that this is simply not good enough, they offered nothing further. Past performance is a predictor of future performance- what's the bet if I re-order, I will be sent the incorrect size yet AGAIN?
- I have since lodged a formal complaint. Do better guys. As much as I like the products, my time matters to me more. Won't be placing another order unless this is resolved. I'll go to Hype instead.
