Poor ptoduct
Buy the insurance. My 10 trees came looking like the Charlie Brown Christmas trees. They replaced one of them and asked me to plant the rest and stated they would give me a year warranty on the rest. Well 7 died. I called to asked for the warranty replacement. They stated they have no record of such conversation. They think I just imagined the conversation. So I’m out of luck. I should have returned them all. I Bought them from somewhere else and the trees are night and day A much better product. My advise. Buy somewhere else

Ordered some grasses to complete our landscaping project. Received them yesterday. Came in great condition. A bit pricey with the shipping charges. But since I couldn’t find them at any area nurseries, I took a chance and ordered online. Very happy. Thanks
Nonsense customer service and bad quality of plant
I got the hydrangea in January when it's in dormant, I cannot verify whether it's in condition or not. So I wait until July and found it's still not active growing, then I get back to PlantingTree, and the customer service said they cannot do anything about it because I didn't plant it in ground based on their policy. First, there is no instruction or rule provided saying I have to plant this 3 gallon hydrangea in ground immediately. Second, how I can plant something in ground without knowing it's still alive?! Third, I don't believe not planting in ground is the reason to this bad quality plants as every plant start from planter. Without any growth, why they need to be in ground?
This is nonsense and waste my money and time, I will never purchase anything from this website.

I ordered several plants and trees
I ordered several plants and trees, and received them all in decent shape with the exception of two ornamental grass plants which appeared to be dead. I followed their well crafted protocols, to just feed and water them and they will come back... these did not. Now I'm not only outside of the five day replacement clause, but also a couple days out of the 30 warranty. They offered to cover them anyway, but were going to charge me the $23 shipping to replace the dead plants they already sent. Their protocols are cleverly crafted to allow them to avoid ever just replacing a bad product, the way it should be, without zinging you again for $23 ???... for two plants the size of a baseball??? Not what I consider good faith or good customer service.
UPDATE:
The simple, right thing to do, would be to replace the dead plants at no charge at all... None of my plants came in what I would call healthy condition, and frankly the remaining blue grass plants I received are all dead now. This would have been an easy CSM fix for them by just sending me replacements. There are other, better suppliers selling truly healthy plants, and backing them up. Shop around.

Perfectly Healthy Fig Tree
I was skeptical about ordering a small tree through the mail, but I was more than happy with the fig tree from Planting Tree which arrived in perfect condition in a three gallon container. Not only were all branches in perfect shape and all leaves green and healthy, but there are about a dozen small figs and buds in the tree!
Can’t wait until Spring!
Great plants and Great customer service
Angela went out of the way to help us replace the plants with partial credit after they dried up even though we had not purchased the warranty. Not only did she replace but answered all our questions patiently and why it dried up.
The new plants are equally good! Highly recommend planting tree....
Proposed solution for non surviving plants is to rebuy them at a price higher than I can get on Amazon
I ordered and planted 6 skyrocket pencil holly trees last year and posted a review with my disappointment that 2 were completely dead, and 2 almost dead by the following season. Unfortunately apparently there is a guarantee you must buy (others I have dealt with include a guarantee with their products) which I must not have. They also offered guidance re how to plant correctly (no grass near the plant) which was not presented at time of the order delivery as plants were planted per enclosed directions. Plantingtree offered to let me buy 4 more at a discounted price (a price higher than what I could buy 4 same size on Amazon and I provided the screen shot in my email reply). As a result I don't consider my issue resolved with their 'solution' for an order which exceeded $100 and where the majority of the shrubs did not survive. Disappointed with the result and proposed solution. I will try a different supplier in the future.

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Their service and dedication to the customers is topnotch. I bought some beautiful ornamental grasses last year and I came back this Summer to get some trees. One of them is struggling to survive but after a quick consultation with the amazing PlantingTree support (Thank You Angela!) they issued a new replacement as they take pride for their plants. As Angela mentioned "If you are not happy, we are not happy" :)

bad quality trees upon arrival
I ordered 16 trees. I live on the west coast and assumed the trees would survive the trip in a box. I didn't know that they would be in a box for a week and a half though... 11 of the 16 trees survived. They sent me 2 replacement trees. I guess I am on the hook for the other three even though a sent pics of the damaged boxes and trees. Learned my lesson to not order from plantingtree again. I'll order locally next time.

I couldn't be happier with my purchases from Planting Tree. I purchased fig trees from multiple other sellers and two came diseased and one came as a 4 foot tall skinny twig with 3 leaves sticking out of the top. Then, I bought a Brown Turkey Fig tree from Planting Tree and I was amazed. It was full, with hundreds of leaves on it and over 30 figs already growing on it. It was beautiful. I immediately bought another for myself and two as a gift for my mom and two as a gift for a friend. All of them came looking as full and beautiful as my first one! I also ordered some blueberry plants and blackberry plants and have been very happy with those as well! I can't wait to buy more plants from them, really!
Amazing Trees!
Wonderful company! My order arrived quickly within 5 days of ordering. I was very pleased with the appearance and overall growth of all the trees I have ordered from Planting Trees. Wish I had more room on my property to order more! Highly recommend purchasing from them, but make sure the plant/tree is compatible in your zone first and will thrive in the conditions of where you're planting them.
Exceeded our expectations
I am so impressed with Planting Tree Online Garden Center. I ordered a 4-5 foot purple-leafed crepe myrtle and crossed my fingers. The plant came quickly and was expertly wrapped, to the point that not a leaf had fallen off. We could not believe how good it looked. You have exceeded our expectations and have new regular customers. Thank you!!
Ruby Falls Redbud Tree....
Two "Ruby Falls Redbud Tree" were purchased from PlatingTree at the cost of approximately $284. The product was delivered on June 4th. I was very disappointed that the plants looked nothing like shown in the image on their site. The plants are like slender sticks without much leaves (very delicate for a windy day). In addition, one plant is broken in half and it's obvious that the plant was broken in an area with an old cut where it was previously trimmed. Disappointingly, there is no human contact via telephone for PlantingTree and after several failed attempts I sent an email with pictures of the damage plant explaining that the plant came broken in the box at a spot from an old damage. Saturday June 6th. (two days later) I received an email response indicating that they did not received the pictures, so I resend the email with the pictures. It's now June 11th. and I still have not got an acknowledgement or any form of communication or compensation from PlantingTree.
I just move to a new location and am currently changing out some plants in my landscaping and thought that PlantingTree products looked quite good on their site and decided to use them. So far I have bought over $600. worth of plant from them. The first batch was as I expected. My second purchase is where I'm now screwed (excuse my expression, but I am) since there is no "Customer Support. COVID-19 OR NOT… there can be communication... They are very prompt with their delivery. But no Customer support... VERY! VERY! DISSAPOINTED

FOLLOWING UP... Kristen at Plantingtree eventually communicated with me, requested that the pictures of the damaged plant be resent she also apologized for the delayed response.
I resent her the pictures and her response was prompt in sending a replacement for the damaged plant which I received in good order. I am quite satisfied and will continue to do business with Plantingtree and would definitely recommend them to anyone for their products.

After my initial review, I received a phone call from Angela the next day. Angela reviewed my pictures and stated an exchange would result in getting trees in similar condition as the trees they have in stock all look the same. She did however, extended the warranty period and offered to send a “Triple Action” spray to treat the trees in the interim. I am satisfied that I was able to speak to someone who cared and understood the issue. I am increasing the rate of my initial review to reflect the customer service I received today thanks to Angela

SummaryBuying trees online is gamble.
Last August we purchased six Limelight Hydrangea trees. They came with just a few leaves, but we were told it was fine as they were trimmed for shipment or some other reason. Our very professional landscaper planted the trees immediately on delivery. The trees did not grow any new leaves before the winter. And now only one looks +/- OK and one has died. The company could only offer 50% on replacement.
You might get bad plants, and you won't get any support.
I bought 3 hydrangeas from planting tree in March 2020. I planted them carefully with compost and mulched them well.
Two of the plants did well. One died. I asked them to send one replacement which they wouldn't do.
When I emailed customer service, they told me that they would help me fix what was wrong. The person asked me what I had bought, meaning that she didn't even look at their invoice. I answered a bunch of questions anyway, and in the end they said that, since I didn't buy their warranty, they wouldn't replace the plant. They would give me a 50% credit and have me pay for shipping.
So if you want to buy insurance on your plants, that's your warranty. Otherwise they just want you to buy another plant at your expense.
