Day light robbery

Bought a T shirt on the sale and it was a little too large so, they didn’t have smaller size so I needed to return it and I ordered a similar one. They do not refund you the shipping cost of £3.95 which I can live with but then the real issue is that they also don’t do free returns, £2.45 to return the t shirt that I don’t get the shipping costs back on and the worst part, I wanted to order another t shirt whilst I wait on my return, it’s only got 2 left in stock so I couldn’t pick the option to get store credit as will take a while, so I just paid another £3.95 delivery.
So all in all I’ve been charged £10.35 in delivery and returning costs all for one t shirt. I would never have ordered anything from here if I realised this would be the case. Please be careful if your unsure on size or item, do not order as a complete day light robbery!!!!

We completely understand how disappointing it can be when an item doesn't fit as expected, particularly when the additional costs involved end up feeling disproportionate to the value of the purchase.

We would like to clarify that we do not charge customers for exchanges. If an exchange is requested through our returns process, we cover both the return postage and the shipping cost of the replacement item. Had you followed the return process in this instance, you would not have incurred any additional postage costs.

We appreciate that you were concerned about stock availability, particularly as there were only a couple of the replacement T-shirts remaining. Had you contacted us directly, we would have been more than happy to reserve one for you while your exchange was being processed, ensuring you didn't miss out on the item while also avoiding the additional costs.

As a small British clothing brand, we simply aren't in a position to absorb all shipping and return costs in the same way that much larger retailers can. We work hard to keep our product prices as fair as possible, and unfortunately this means that delivery and return charges need to be covered separately when customers choose to return an item for a refund rather than exchange it.

For transparency, all delivery and return charges are clearly displayed on our website prior to purchase and throughout the returns process. While we appreciate this doesn't lessen your frustration in this situation, we do feel it's important that customers are aware of these costs before placing an order.

We genuinely value your feedback and are sorry that on this occasion we didn't have the opportunity to assist before the additional costs were incurred. Should you ever have concerns regarding sizing, stock availability, or exchanges in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us directly and we'll always do our best to help.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

I bought a hoodie a little while ago, I needed an exchange for a different size but now I want a refund. I've written to them several times over the past few weeks, but I'm not getting any replies and I haven't received refund. It's a joke.they replied to email them on their email and I have but still NO RESPONSE! this hoodie was not cheap. I'd like a refund. And I WILL NOT be ordering from them again. Very disheartened as I was a lover of the brand. Please do not reply with "email us on..." because I have.

Great fit

Great fit, quality and came quickly. One of the best brands in the UK. I’ve purchased T shirts from Parlez since 2022 and will continue to do so.

Ordered my California Schemin tshirt on…

Ordered my California Schemin tshirt on 4/22. Arrived home and there it was on 4/27. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I plan to wear this t shirt & rep the heck out of James McAvoy & California Schemin at Dragoncon this year.

Poor Quality item and bad customer service…

Placed an order for a hoodie, sweatshirt and three T-shirts during the Christmas period which took a little while to ship but that’s understandable due to the time of year. Items arrived and all was well until washing and drying the sweatshirt, according to instructions, and noting the print on the rear was already showing signs of wear. Raised this with Parlez on 14th January and still no further forward. Advised Friday 16th that I would like to return and I’ve had no further contact from them. I expect more considering the price of the items and that my responses to their emails had almost been immediate. Won’t be using them again

Update: Parlez have now refunded the poor quality item. Still wouldn’t recommend based on the experience

I did not chase a refund. I enquired how I could go about returning an item which was clearly poor quality/faulty.

As a customer I shouldn’t be at the mercy of your factory providing a response. The offer to return or exchange should have been forthcoming from the outset. It was clear from the images provided that the printing on the item was substandard. I do appreciate the refund and gesture to retain the item but I stand by my review.

We are very sorry for delay with your return. You had asked questions about the performance of an item moving forward to which we advised we were contacting the team for comment. On chasing your refund request we refunded your order within 24 hours of the chase email before you placed this review and have allowed you to keep the garment as a gesture if goodwill. Once again we apologise for any delay this is certainly not what we strive to deliver in terms of customer service.

Had an issue with an item I bought recently and they responded incredibly quickly to resolve the issue. I was sent a replacement free of charge, received within 5 days of getting in touch. Stellar service - I'll be a repeat customer for sure!

Had an issue with a hoody having a small rip in it, couldn't clarify whether it was me or it was sent like that. They team was so nice and responded quickly, were able to resolve the issue swiftly, very good experience

I ordered 2 t-shirts but at the…

I ordered 2 t-shirts but at the checkout I shipped to the wrong address which is my own fault, however I realised this straight away and asked if the address could be changed or even cancelled. I got a reply quite quickly stating it couldn’t due to the process being automated. I feel in these circumstances it should be simple to have an order cancelled. I am now down the price of 2 t-shirts which I will not receive.

Thank you for your comment, and I’m really sorry for the frustration this has caused.

Our order and dispatch system is highly automated so that we can get parcels out of the door as quickly as possible once an order is placed. In your case, the order had already entered this process and left our building by the time we received your request, which meant we weren’t able to change the address or cancel it.

We do try to limit the chances of address errors by displaying a clear warning at checkout asking customers to double-check their delivery details before completing the order. However, we completely understand that mistakes can still happen.

If the parcel is returned to us by the carrier as undeliverable, we’ll be in touch straight away to arrange the next steps.

Since the UK’s exit from the EU, deliveries to Germany and other EU countries now incur additional customs, duties, and handling fees that unfortunately increase the overall shipping cost. These charges are set externally by customs and carriers, and are not something we’re able to control.
