Could have been better

In the past have had excellent quick service. This time it took from May to August to receive my glasses. Holdups were frustrating, but pleased with glasses when they arrived.

Never received product, delay or scam??

I ordered 5 pairs of glasses from this company. Two of the pairs broke during construction, so I had to pay extra as they were out of stock of the frames. Then I paid extra, two times, to ensure the existing three that were ready to be sent would ship on time. They took another month to ship those. I am still waiting on the other two pairs and have gotten no reply from their support team in weeks. Is this company even still operating?

Not made in NZ

Agree with another review - I asked if frames in stock as needed urgently before going to hospital. Specifically used as seemed to be NZ site with Johnsonville office. Now seems they are coming from Australia, or is it elsewhere via Australia? Disappointed since reply acknowledging my urgency made no reference to it coming from overseas and now won't receive in time.

Appreciate reply - its not a complicated prescription, I just wish you said when we emailed to allow for it to come from overseas because by the time it arrived I will be 250km away so no use for intended purpose. Strange too that optically.co.nz doesn't come up in companies search? Just be transparent - the product seems good just don't understand your reluctance to say you're an intermediary for product sourced offshore.

Considering Covid

Considering Covid, the service was excellent. Both me and my wife are absolutely thrilled with having our glasses reglazed & repaired.

Very smooth glasses ordering process

Excellent experience ordering my new glasses and I love the option of being able to try them through the website. My glasses arrived safely and I am very pleased with them.

Lens popped out after a few days

It took almost a month for them to tell me the frame I wanted wasn't available, then 2-3 more weeks beyond that to receive the glasses. The right lens popped out suddenly after only 4 days use, but was easy to click back into place. The price was good for the overall quality of the frame and lenses.

Reglaze takes a while

Sent my pair of glasses for reglazing. It took about 3 months to get them done and come back to me. So be prepared to wait for a while, the service is definitely not suitable if you need something done fast. Also want to mention lack of transparency on what stage the order at and its progress, had to ask their support about this via emails.

Don't go there

After checking out the website, I believed this was a good site.
I ordered bifocal lenses, which after 3 weeks and no correspondence from optically nz still hadn't arrived.
I rang there customer service line and got a generic answer message.
I was called back and told the glasses would be 3-5 working days away.
Another month passes, and by now I'm not even sure if these guys are legit.
I call them again, and this time according to their policy I'm entitled to a full refund if the glasses haven't been delivered within 28 days.
They seem reluctant to refund me and assure me that the glasses are days away.
excuse after excuse.
I finally received refund today 11/5.
If you like fast, communitive service, this site is not going to help.

Delivery time too long

The lenses were great thanks.
The time from order to delivery back to me was way to high, I was initially told a few weeks but it ended up being nearly two months!
