Rude border staff control.
Rude boarder staff controllers.
One older guy had serious attitude towards my family, scared my nephew and offended us with his stinking breath. Poor service.
When I asked a colleague of his for his name, they said they didn't really know him.
The guy then proceeded to shouting at another family.
terrible parking. dirty airport.
terrible parking, smelly airport.
Train service from Luton airport is really confusing …
Airport is very old and not modernised at all
Worst part is the train service. Really complicated to understand and poor instructions and signage
Luton airport baggage handling.
We flew from Jersey to Luton Airport and duly arrived at the baggage carousel. Everyone got their bags except me and my wife. We stood around wondering what to do when I spotted a baggage handler and asked him where my bag may be. I got a mouth full about how overworked he was and that he had more dollies to deal with. I found the Easy jet desk and spent half an hour registering my loss. As I walked back to the carousel two handlers appeared with my missing bag but didn't offer an explanation as to where it had been. On a previous trip we all spent about two hours waiting for our baggage from the Jersey flight. The flight itself is only around one hour. The baggage handling is a bloody disgrace and the airport needs to get a grip on this.
Rude unhelpfull staff
Rude unhelpfull staff. NO ANSWERS TO MY COMPLAINTS
Absolutely terrible landing at Luton…
Absolutely terrible landing at Luton airport. You make us queu up unnecessarily to get through immigration then you have.no signage to guide us to the taxi pick up zone. Your staff are lazy and the place is filthy. Makes me ashamed to be British.

Enjoyed my recent visit to Luton Airport. Security staff were courteous and helpful. Food and coffee was good.
The wine selection is the best in any airport.Quality wine reasonably priced. The lady stacking the wine was kind and helpful.
Will travel through Luton Airport again.
Poor car parking and appalling baggage handling
We arrived back at Luton from Sharm el Sheikh at 2am on Sunday 13th October. It took until 3:36 for our baggage to hit baggage reclaim.
Couple that with a car park that is advertised as being a 10 -15 min walk away, actually being a 10 min bus ride to the car park entrance, plus a further 15 min walk to where we had to leave our car, we were not impressed and won't be travelling from here ever again!!
Missed a flight for the first time ever…
Missed a flight for the first time ever today, due to the shambles security at LLA. It took me approximately 35 minutes to get through. One of the lanes actually came to a standstill, as the baggage scanning machine stopped. I imagine it broke down! I was able to switch lanes, however the security personnel then just ushered people to flow into the one working queue, and left them to it. There was no organisation from personnel and it became a free for all. This also lost me crucial time in being able to make the gate before closing.
Lost the flight becouse we standing 45…
Lost the flight becouse we standing 45 minuts at metal detector area and the luggage belt breack down....and the most horrible thing is the staff, specially one youn lady laughting in the face....worst experience ever,i hope i can get my 700 pounds back!!

Bad service but if compare with some European airports looks not bad .
Not worth it in my opinion
Not the worst in the world of course, but my least favourite in the UK so far. I joked during departure that this airport may have been the final straw that turned me into a Libertarian haha! I mean, maybe other UK airports have become overbearing like this, but they are maybe at least a bit nicer. Like, if the U.K. is gonna put toddlers through radiation in body scanners at security then frisk them then could you at least have a nice clean, convenient airport with friendly staff, and more phone chargers and food options etc. Can it at least be at level of London Gatwick at least? Or maybe it was just the terminals I've gone through. Also what is up with the charging for train tickets between "Luton Aiport" and "Luton Airport Parkway"? You expect some elderly tourists visiting the country to figure that one out? Also could there not be healthier food options/shops? Even at Austin airport, in Texas, I found healthier food options. Which is strange because England in general has healthier food. Overall it kind of just felt like the airport didn't care about people much at all. I'm sure none of them do but some at least try to pretend in a "customer service" kind of way. In future I will spend more money on airlines and airport-hotels to avoid places like Luton to be honest
Extremely long queue to get to passport…
Extremely long queue to get to passport control. Lack of any control or supervision over the process. Terrible odour and seems to be getting worse every time Im forced to be there.
AVOID LUTON AIRPORT AT ALL COSTS!!!!
What a dreadful airport.. It has taken me 1 hour to go through security, what a complete shambles. Only 3 of 10 security gates open, people missing flights. Get it sorted Luton Airport.

Spent more time at Luton Airport than on the plane
Mid carpark pick up drop off etc, traffic queuing etc, nightmare, miles to walk in terminal etc
Arrogant staff
Staff at express pick up are arrogant I arrived in Luton at 11:10 from Reus got my bag and went to cross the road into the express pick up zone when an Asian man started shouting at myself stating where are you going and ranting that you do not go that way do as I say yet I replied I did not want a black cab just a general taxi and once again he started ranting, my partner with her child who has autism asked what is his problem, if I had not been with her and her child I would of seriously knocked his lights out, as it was fully deserved.
What a drop off racket
What a racket. £5 to stop for up to 5 mins dropping somebody off. Then £1 per min therafter. Then you have the pleasure of a 15 min queue getting out of the dump and that was at 4.30am. What it is like later in the day I dread to experience. Rarely travel now as it is a rip off from flagfall to finishing line.
Only amusing part was watching the hardy heat seekers walking up to the airport with an outside temp of 3 degrees in their t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops. Ready for the Costa. Good on them.
Luton. Utter Shower of…
When Crowdstrike took out all the airports, I was at Paris, Orly airport. The carnage was great and I had to board with a hand written boarding pass…
It was still better than business as usual at Luton Airport.
The website advises arriving 3 HOURS before flying, but doesn’t state why.
So for our 2 hour flight to Pula, Croatia, we did what we would usually do and turned up 2 hours before the flight.
Getting close to the airport there was a huge queue - surprising for 5am on a Saturday morning at a single terminal airport.
It took 30 minutes to reach the car park for our meet & greet - I’ve never seen anything as bad.
Apparently their multi story car park burned down 6 months ago and the entire airport is now a building site with no traffic management at all - why they don’t state this anywhere on their website I have no idea.
We dropped off the car to the miserable individuals at the meet & greet section (customer service training isn’t a required skill for meet & greet - at Luton); then we hurried over to the terminal. At this point we were still under the illusion that we would get efficiently to our boarding gate.
We arrived at the check-in desks to drop off our luggage. After an extremely long wait, by the end of which we were really starting to get concerned about the time, we presented our bags only to be told that my luggage was oversized.
It really isn’t. It’s a 90 litre case with 2 wheels and a soft top. It seems that their systems are so archaic that they can’t manage a standard sized suitcase.
We were redirected to the other end of the check in desks to an insanely long queue. At this point I was still thinking we’d be ok….
My sister went ahead to security and I waited… and waited until eventually I was allowed to the front of the line, as time was getting alarmingly late and I still had security to get through…. Which was, predictably, absolutely rammed.
11 lanes of people, running two thirds the length of the security hall.
Getting within a couple of lines of the front, another passenger was getting frantic (her flight was 20 minutes later than mine). I got the attention of an attendant, told her my flight time and that I was really concerned. she brushed me off saying I’d be fine.
She lied.
I finally got through security and my phone rang as I was collecting my things - it was my sister (my travel partner) frantically saying that they were going to close the gate and leave without me. Thanks to Easy Jet’s insane policy of closing the gate 40 minutes before take off, they were unwilling to wait.
The cretin at the gate was SHOUTING at my sister telling her to get on or leave. Another attendant actually checked and realised my “oversized luggage” was already on board and generously gave me a whole 3 minutes to get to the other side of the airport where my gate was located.
I managed with just a few seconds to spare.
Normal airports call out the names of late arrivals.
Normal airports allow travellers to the front when their gate is due to close.
Normal airports can accommodate regular sized luggage.
Luton is not a normal airport. It’s a **** show of the first order.
Take my advice and avoid it like the plague / Covid. Use Heathrow or Stansted or Manchester or pretty much any other airport. I cannot stress enough how badly this place is run and the god awful attitude of every single staff member I encountered.
Trustpilot, please allow a zero or even sub-zero star rating for places like this!
This airport is a joke
This airport is a joke. There are always road works going on since 2015…. I had to walk 10 min with a heavy suitcase, on a heavy rain to get to the terminal. No cars allowed closer. All wet and extremely upset that I had to pay £50 for Uber to walk, I got to a building with no sign or what so ever information where to go, and had to run up and down the stairs. On top of everything, they put staff on the road to ‘guide’ you, and they don’t event speak English. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS, never ever flying from there again.
if i could give 0 stars i would
if i could give 0 stars i would. very poor airport, flights always getting delayed and unhelpful staff. luckily i booked a private car park for the holiday otherwise would’ve been stuck at the long stay car park which is the worst airport car park that i’ve used.
