Very easy to get there
Very easy to get there. Needed help trough the phone and the staff was very helpful.
Mark Gammon & superb team
I was rushing to get my hand luggage to be inspected on the carousel to catch my flight. Mark GAMMON was superb as he immediately noticed my distress. He was brilliant and with his calm reassuring voice made me smile, and helped me. He also immediately informed his lady team member to frisk me but not hold me back, jokingly. They were all SUPERB. TEAMWORK AT ITS BEST. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Luton excels for disabled passengers
I have flown into most UK airports during my working career and recently and as a traveller with mobility issues (blue badge holder) and I have to raise my hat to the facilities and staff at Luton for passenger assistance. First class and greatest appreciation to them for making travel so easy for disabled travellers.❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Comprehensively Incompetent
They've removed the free 15 minute pick-up window at the mid-stay car park. Thanks!
You can buy "express pickup" for £7, but the form does not allow me to enter and arrival time past 9am today - my flight lands at noon. So it's totally un-usable. Thanks!
Also the privacy statement for this service stinks. Thanks!
So I went to their Contact Us form and filled it in. It won't submit, saying "Sorry, there was a problem sending your enquiry. Please try again later.". Thanks!
Broad-spectrum incompetence like this is only piossible when a business model creates a captive customer base, as it does here. They don't have to try so - guess what - they don't.
Pathetic and despicable. A sea of wealthy morons financed by us while our government looks on dumbly.
What's not to like?
Worst airport ever
Worst airport ever! Not disability friendly at all, avoid at all costs. The customer service was so poor, we were screamed at because my aunt who has disabilities could not stand in the line and after telling the staff member, he continued to shout and was making racist remarks.
The prayer room is very small
The prayer room is very small, only two ladies can stand inside uncomfortably. I hope they respect Muslims much more and provide a respectable clean wider space for praying.
Rude and unprofessional staff
Rude and unprofessional airport staff. Aggressive towards people.
Amazing experience at luton airport
Amazing experience at luton airport. They supported me in every way with my daughter. Made the process so easy for
We had booked the meet & greet booking…
We had booked the meet & greet booking for the car park, now named Drop&Go. Very poorly sign posted. Then security -endless streaming through empty network of pathways, security machine broke down, then at the gate - total chaos. Luton feels like an airport from the 3rd world. Absolutely a disgrace
It’s pure nonsense disguised as progress.
The new barrier-free pick-up and drop-off zone payment system is nothing but a goldmine for them. Instead of introducing something that genuinely benefits people, they’ve once again found a way to squeeze every last penny out of them! This isn’t innovation—it’s pure nonsense disguised as progress.
Unfair drop-off charges and confusing payment – deeply disappointed
I’ve recently had two frustrating experiences with Luton Airport’s new drop-off parking system. On 23 October, I was charged twice because there was no clear way to pay on site and I had to loop back just to find out it had to be done online. On 30 October, I arrived at 23:28 to collect my daughter, set myself a reminder to pay when I got home, but in the chaos of late-night travel and unpacking, I forgot. That mistake cost me £25.
£7 for 5 minutes is outrageous, and requiring online payment only — with no visible payment point — feels like a trap designed to catch people out.
This isn’t about the money — it’s about fairness and transparency. Airports should be helping travellers, not profiting off their stress and distraction. I hope Luton Airport rethinks this system before it erodes even more trust.
Wow, wow, wow.
Went through London LTN last week, and both times I was looked after going in and coming back out again.
However, I use wheelchair assistance, and on the way back, I was left in the special zone as I Was quite early for my flight.
In the disabled loo in this section, I was very surprised to find THE MOST WELL EQUIPPED loo. There was a shower, full length fold down bed, to use with the shower, controller for up and down, a hoist, controller for up and down, sink controller for up and down, privacy screen. All of it was immaculately cleaned, and well designed.
Even in a hospital, amid 30 years of nursing, I have never seen such an assortment of appliances.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
I’m hoping I can put up some photos.
Is there a worse way to run anything?
Our inbound flight parked up at the terminal at 2:15pm. No staff turned up for over 20 minutes to 'guide us to the terminal building' right in front of us, despite steps being brought immediately and the aircraft doors opened. No wonder there are always delays here.
Then passport control, where there are usually excessive queues. Only ironically today, as we were one of only two planes disembarking, we flew through in the end.
And of course the stupidity of letting a car park burn down due to saving on sprinklers, and the £7 minimum they charge to be dropped off, not at the terminal but under the multistorey car park.
The airport wifi never works and the mobile signal is non-existent.
This airport is an utter shambles, its management should be ashamed and Easyjet should move it headquarters as far from it as possible.
Ripoff meet & greet Ripoff airport.
This was our first and last use of loton airport. We arrived not knowing about the ripoff chargers incurred to drop of our car with the meet and greet service we booked our parking with. People need to stop using this airport as this charge is a ripoff that is unavoidable.
In excess of 1 hour to clear security…
In excess of 1 hour to clear security checks. You don’t see this in other countries, just the sheer greed of the UK.
Tip for management - staff up or passenger down. It’s simple numbers
Archaic technology for exiting car park
Exiting the parking at the long-term car park in Luton is ludicrous!!!
I booked online - an easy and simple process. Entry was simple ... the bus service was excellent ... as was the return bus service 3 weeks later. So far absolutely perfect.
Trying to exit was a totally different story. There are two barriers, and I was car #3 at one of them. Cars #1 at both barriers seemed to have an issue, as they were both seemingly attempting to speak with someone on the intercom. No exaggeration, it took the car on my barrier 3-4 minutes till the barrier came up. Great, I thought, we'll be going soon. But woe ... the car in front of me also stopped, and he seemed to be attempting to speak. I timed it .... 7minutes 20seconds ... and he was through. By this time there are 6-8 cars behind me.
It's now my turn. No automatic number plate recognition. Asked to insert a ticket ... which of course my online booking doesn't provide. So I press the intercom button. I was lucky ... it only took 5 minutes 40 seconds for the call to be answered. Gave my booking reference and was through.
Abysmal. In the 21stC there are a myriad of technologies available to speed this process. My exit time was approaching 30 minutes, and I think the poor souls behind me must have had a wait of an hour or more.
Well done Luton Airport
I had read and heard a lot of bad reports about Luton airport so it was with reluctance we booked to go to Belgrade via Luton. (The choice was Luton or Heathrow)
The whole experience was first class, from parking to arriving back in Luton.
I am a frequent flyer with a number of airlines and this was by far the smoothest check in and security check I haver ever experienced.
There were so many visible and well trained staff on hand that despite the very early departure and hundreds of passengers we were sat having coffee 25 minutes after arriving at the Terminal, even though we took checked in luggage.
We did pay the £8.00 for fast track (which is about half the price of Stansted) but it is worth every penny.
Both outbound and inbound flights were on time (arriving 20 minutes ahead of schedule going out) and the luggage on the return leg was actually in the arrival hall before we were.
Gone are the days of long queues at the passport control which is one of the reasons we stopped using Luton.
It is obvious a lot of work has gone into this airport and it deserves recognition for doing so.
Well done Luton and we look forward to using you again soon.
Avoid it if you can
I travel from London airports regularly and Luton is worse for ground services such as luggage waiting times, car parks. I would advise to avoid it if you can.
Avoid at all costs If you have babies or children
think you guys need to go to Poland for training! no family friendly provisions, to Poland and back with a newborn baby, three bags and a pram and had to go up AND down several stair cases!!! One of your operatives actually squeezed past us to go down the stairs without even offering a hand!!! Three others on the same flight with the same problem!! On arrival back to the UK, there were no signs for "family friendly passport control" we wait with two other flights and 20 minutes later a lady came and shouted that "there is a family friendly aisle". going to baggage control, it was messy, lose tiles only to be filled in with cement!!! Not good enough!! I will never travel from Luton again, we once used to be the best in the world, we are lagging soooooo bad that the third world countries have better facilities!!!
No longer fit for purpose…
This is the third time I have flown from Luton Airport, sadly I have no other option as it is the only UK airport to fly direct to my destination, trust me if there was an alternative I would use it. Luton has massively outgrown its capacity. It starts with finding somewhere to leave the car, then finding somewhere to sit once you have negotiated your way through security. We thought we would sort the latter this time by booking one of the VIP lounges, HA, thinking we would be able to just wait in comfort, well think again. We had to scan a QR code to be told we will get a text once space is available inside. It took an hour before we got the text. The whole experience just goes from bad to worse. They call the flight & we are herded into a stairwell with 200 other folks & there we stand waiting for the ground crew to let us onto the plane. It gets no better as when we flew back into Luton at 2am, we had to walk half a mile to passport control where we joined another queue for 45 minutes to get to an automated passport scanner. The lady on the radio heard to say, "they are already queued back to the escalator & another flight just landed." This airport is well past its sell by date & seriously needs upgrading or knocking down & re-building. Unless other London airports start flights to less popular airports I sadly I will have no other choice.
