Absolutely terrible experience with Ladybird Car Insurance.
The policy was advertised as being competitively priced, but the reality was completely different. What looked like a cheap insurance quote quickly became one of the most expensive policies once various charges and fees were added. The pricing felt far from transparent, and I was shocked by how much the final cost increased.
The worst part was when I decided to cancel the policy shortly after taking it out. Despite requesting cancellation, I was hit with substantial cancellation charges and ended up losing my £143 deposit. I found this completely unreasonable and extremely disappointing. There is no such consideration of cooling period. My policy was yet to start in 3 weeks, far before any cooling period, but nothing considered.
Customer service is far from any standard. Felt intimidating.
I feel that customers are drawn in by an attractive initial price, only to discover significant additional costs later. The cancellation fees only added to my frustration and left me feeling that I had received very poor value for money.
Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Ladybird Car Insurance. I would strongly advise anyone considering this insurer to carefully review all fees, cancellation charges, and policy terms before signing up. There are far better and more transparent insurers available.

I would not recommend Ladybird Insurance based on my experience.
I cancelled my car insurance after only three months because I had been provided with a company car and no longer needed the policy. I was shocked to find that they kept the equivalent of nine months’ worth of payments through administration and cancellation fees.
The costs were not made clear enough at the point of taking out the policy, and the whole process felt unfair, excessive, and completely unreasonable. Customer service and administration were also poor, making an already frustrating situation even worse.
In my view, this was a hidden-cost experience and felt like daylight robbery. Mr D Turpin wore a mask — at least you saw him coming.
Be very careful before taking out a policy and make sure you fully understand every possible fee before signing up.

Don't no go near this company they based in East London every thing they do is scamming , if you ask for cancelation they add 100 things for you force you to stay with them , amending cost you 100 to 300£ they are scam

Got an intial quote for £407 via the website and went ahead and paid. Later realised that my NCB was in my husband's name and not mine, despite my not having had any claims in >25 years, so rang them, Ladybird revised the cost up to >£900. Obviously expected a rise but not this much. Cancelled and despite 'cooling off' period still lost £144. They advised my refund of the rest may take 30 days! Got a new policy from AA for £458 (with no NCB). I was left with a bad feeling about this company - they draw you in and then sting you. I will avoid them in future. Sharing this in case useful to others.

Did an on-line quote with Compare The…
Did an on-line quote with Compare The Market and had to phone the branch to check something out. This was with Auto National Insurance.I was then told that the quote didn't include items on the quote. They then re-quoted me with a much higher premium. Upon further investigation Ladybird Insurance had the same phone number. This company seems to work in the same way as Auto National Insurance

Very bad company would never recommend to anyone the are thieves the didn’t gave my money back keep making excuses on the portal they don’t let u make any changes this company is a flop they just take money and do not help at all if u have any problem they don’t do nothing and keep passing u on to other company’s worse people

Dreadful and unhelpful company
Dreadful and unhelpful company-even after calling them. I paid for a year’s car insurance. Had difficulty uploading the documents required and the woman I spoke to when I called couldn’t be bothered to help. I found a better price elsewhere anyway so cancelled the insurance before it was even due to start and they kept over £140 of what I paid! Wish I’d read the reviews-never again.

I have been with this company for…
I have been with this company for almost three years.
I was insured on a 2014 BMW M Sport, valued at £10,999, with a monthly premium of £137.
Due to certain circumstances, I had to change my car and replace it with a 2006 Mazda 3 valued at £700.
Despite having three consecutive years of continuous cover with the same address, my monthly premium increased to £146, even though the new car was much cheaper and I have 7 years of no-claims history.
Recently, I decided to purchase another car — a 2013 BMW 420i, 2.0 petrol, valued at £7,000.
After checking various insurance companies using the same address and details, I received offers of around £140 per month.
So the difference is clear.
Ladybird Insurance has really gone too far, and I genuinely don’t understand how they calculate their prices.
Because of this lack of responsibility and unreasonable pricing, I am giving them the lowest possible rating.

Renewal quote for more then what I…
Renewal quote was more then what I found on compare.com, had to call and ask why, was asked for reference number and then matched the quote. On asking why would they charge me extra, didn’t have much to say. In the end I took the insurance and realised had I gone through compare.com site, would have received rewards.
