This is about Skipton branch. Went in last Friday for a headlight bulb guy told me my lights were an aftermarket sealed unit and you had to replace the whole unit, and I'd have to get them on eBay and they couldn't fit them, went away confused. Thought about it over the weekend did some investigations and they were genuine land rover lights, so I went back, eventually the manager came through to give an old lady her keys and to tell her they couldn't help her, she tried to get help but he was aggressively unhelpful and uncaring of this old lady's car problems and she clearly was aware of his attitude as she just resigned herself to going somewhere else and left. I explained what happened on Friday and begrudgingly he came out to see, this time I insisted on lifting the bonnet,he couldn't be bothered, made a perfunctory attempt to twist the hatch at the back where the bulb goes in and claimed it didn't come off, was condisending and rude told me it was a sealed unit, told me I needed a land rover specialist and there was nothing he could do and walked off after all of two minutes. I stopped by my regular garage, it took him two minutes to get the bulb hatch off and identify the bulbs inside. This guy had a real attitude problem and didn't care to cover it up with the old lady or me I wonder why almost As if he was happy to turn down custom. As a family we've always gone to Kwik fit always been relaxed and the staff helpful, the atmosphere has really changed I won't be going back.

I booked online to have 2 tyres replaced. My original booking was cancelled on the day at very short notice and I had to re-book. The mechanic did a good job. So overall 4 stars.

Kwik Fit in Newton Aycliffe gave me quick efficient service. They could check my wheel alignment for me within half an hour of me ringing them. They showed me the results on screen explaining their meaning. The toe on each of the front wheels needed aligning following some suspension work I had done at another garage. They did the job quickly and were polite and friendly so thank you.

Bradley was on time courteous and clean. Job of 4 tyres replaced in an hour. Well done Bradley.

Excellent easy to book. Arrived between set times kept me up to date on arrival, polite , easy process all four tyres on with in an hour, have already recommended to freinds. So much easier when working to put in to your day.

Booking process was easy (over the phone), with helpful staff who were friendly and efficient.

Mobile fitter arrived a few minutes into the allotted slot, completed his assessment and got on with the job. He was also efficient and friendly.

Easy website. They fix tyres and have good availability. Help sort common car problems so worth supporting so they’re there when you need them next

Polite fitter who turned up on time & new the importance of not using an impact gun on caravan wheels & torquing the wheel nuts up, would recommend.

Visited Foss Islands Road York branch for an mot. Car sadly failed on a cv boot missing a clip. Booked in for a repair and retest. Manager kindly did the job at no charge as only took a few minutes to rectify. Excellent service in a world some places are just too quick to take advantage. I’d give more stars if that was an option.

During the MOT and service at Aldershot branch, they cracked the oil tank cap, which caused a slow oil leak. I went back to the garage, and they told me to leave the car with them. They did not provide a courtesy car and said someone would contact me, but nobody ever did. The person I dealt with was rude and dishonest.

After a few days, I contacted customer complaints, and the area manager arranged a courtesy car. I returned the courtesy car several days later because I had gone abroad. I kept checking from time to time to see if my car was ready so that a family member could collect it for me, but it wasn't. In the end, it took six months before I was able to collect my car.

When I collected it, I asked the area manager in writing for a description of the parts that had been repaired or replaced, as I wanted this information for the vehicle's service history. He said he would email me the details, but he never did and ignored my follow-up message.

I then contacted customer service three separate times asking for the same information. Each time, I was told they would look into it and get back to me, but nobody ever did. They have my email address, home address, and phone number. I was simply asking for a record of the work carried out, which every garage should provide.

Since the repair, the car has been making a strange whistling noise while driving. I mentioned this to the area manager, but he said he couldn't hear any unusual noise during the test drive. However, the noise has been getting louder.

Overall, I had a very poor experience and am extremely disappointed with how this matter was handled. The dishonest communication, the six-month delay, and the refusal to provide a record of the work carried out have left me with very little confidence in this company.
