Brad the instructor was phenomenal and the course work made me pass test with ease first try

Kaplan's P&C licensing course fulfilled its purpose by preparing me to pass the state exams on my first attempt. However, supplementing the materials with ChatGPT was a major factor in my success as well, which is why I'm giving a 4/5 rating. If I hadn't used that extra tool to bolster my understanding of the concepts and terms, I think I would've scored 5-10% lower on the exams.

Don't get me wrong, I am very glad I had access to the Kaplan course and I recommend it to anyone looking to get licensed in Property and/or Casualty Insurance! If fractions of stars were allowed, I'd actually give a 4.8/5.

I signed up and paid for the course because I believed that I could take the test to obtain my OH Health license online, only to find that the capability to do that ended in March.

I found Kaplan far too voluminus, and time consuming. It didn't seem to focus on the specifics needed to for the test. I felt I would need to spend months to go through the hundreds of pages. I wouldn't recommend Kaplan.

The worst CE of an FE/training provider I have ever experienced. Over 2 months+ dealing with Kaplan, I have got nowhere, and simply wasted 2 months of my time.

This was a simple request for a CIMA FLP course, we provided all the necessary documentation, investment significant time to set Kaplan up on our systems, deal with the budget and documentation.

Since then , I have simply sat for 2 months whilst Kaplan produce a series of reasons why it is apparently impossible to provide a hyperlink to some standard corporate training materials.

All of the customer service support and technical support is done via email, which becomes totally self-defeating when really what is needed is a person on the phone.

I am not going to proceed with Kaplan because the experience has been so so poor, and I have no confidence in their ability to support me as a student if i do encounter issues which, on a 2 year course, is likely.

I sense the general sentiment of other recent reviews, that their materials are good, but their corporate processes are awful, is correct.

Get it together Kaplan - this was ab the worst customer experience of my professional life. Never again.

The couses take wat too long!
we have so many CE credits to take each year from Finra, State, MS etc and these courses from Kaplan are taking twice as long. We had STC for insurance CE the last 10 years and Kaplan couses are taking 3X longer than STC.

I used Kaplan Financial Education to prepare for my California Property & Casualty insurance license and ultimately passed the exam, so the material does cover what you need to know.

However, my biggest criticism is the way the information is presented. The course relies heavily on long blocks of text with very few diagrams, visual aids, or practical examples. As someone who is a visual learner, I often found it difficult to fully understand and retain concepts by reading page after page of theory. I also think this affects many people who struggle to maintain focus while reading dense material.

I believe Kaplan could make the course much more effective by incorporating more flowcharts, illustrations, comparison tables, and real-world scenarios. These additions wouldn’t reduce the quality or depth of the content; they would simply make it more accessible for different learning styles.

There were also times when I understood the reading but still felt underprepared for some of the practice questions, which made question whether the material and assessments were always well aligned

Overall, the course prepared me to pass my licensing exam, but I think there is significant room to improve the learning experience. For a company whose mission is educating future professionals, accommodating a wider variety of learners should be a priority.

I failed the SIE exam three times using only Kaplan SIE learning program. Terrible program I was not prepared using the Kaplan products.Now I have to wait 180 days to take my exam again

The written materials, study plan and instructor support was invaluable.
