New build property , IG doors called out to check and adjust the front door. Steve for IG doors arrived within the time frame stated on the text message. Helpful and friendly and explained fully what he was going to do before carrying out the adjustments.

The original door fitted came from the factory as a "Friday Door"-you know like the old BMC Friday cars? It was in an atrocious state with marks and scratches all over the surface. The escutcheons were installed out of line. The door would not fully engage and close once the rhino bolts were activated. The cill leaked on the first presence of rain. The installers-NOT IG made an absolute botch of the install. Rob the IG Engineer arrived as scheduled following texts the night before. Really nice guy and a skilled engineer. He stripped the old door slab down and swapped all the kit onto the new slab. I was asked to inspect the new slab before installation and it is in pristine condition. As Rob proceeded with the installation it became obvious that whoever had assembled the original door set in the factory was either under the influence of something or was the apprentice. Awful workmanship. Rob sorted all the defects and now we have a Rolls Royce installation. Beautiful looking door and we also negotiated an insurance backed FENSA warranty with the installers-so no worries either. If you have an IG door-get Rob to fit it. Absolute gentleman and very, very skilled-trust me-I have been a Building Surveyor for over 50 years.

Paid far lower price than a few other competitors had quoted.
Door arrived on time and was installed last week by one of IG’s fitters.
Fitter was polite and courteous but most of all, left us with a first class product.
Can’t fault my experience from initial enquiry to installation of my new door.
Will now be ordering my other door!

I have left it over a month to write this review, just to see how the door performs. We had a recently launched platinum door fitted in March. IG’s new version of a steel faced residential door!
For those in the market for a premium quality door will have realised these types of doors cost a small fortune.
I was pleasantly surprised by the cost, compared to other suppliers of the same type of product.
I purchased an Anthracite Grey slatted door and could not be happier!
Doesn’t seem like IG have scrimped on quality of the door, and ironmongery also has the feel of a quality product.
Already had numerous comments from neighbours and they couldn't believe the price I paid!

So where do I start.

So we had the police damage the wrong door so I contacted the company who supplied the original door. I asked for a price so I could make sure I could get the funds. Was told around £300. I thought no problem I will borrow £100 from my holiday fund and go without food for a few weeks just eat rations explained about my learning difficulties and need reassurance so I can make sure I’m staying calm. Next day get an invoice for £750 and when I called to challenge it they said they never gave that price and unlucky for them my calls are recorded and I challenged it. Was told I will be put on hold but they forgot and I could hear in the background then being abusive and disrespectful to me.

I raised a complaint and this still has not been investigated. They even over charged a friend that was helping us out causing her to go into financial difficulties too with taking double VAT.

I’ve gone with a different company now as I feel this company cares about money and not values. Even managers snatch phones of there staff to hurle abuse down the phone to customers.

Anyone want the recordings there published on tic toc now so you can hear for yourself how appalling this company is to those with neurodiverse even tho there meant to be disability confident. Have flagged this up with the organisation who awards this.

Definitely a company to avoid especially if making complaints as managers don’t care.

Steve notified us of the approximate time the night before and gave a revised and more accurate time on the day of fitting out replacement front door.
He arrived promptly and did a great job with fitting the new door and was done within a very short time.
Excellent service from IG doors.

A 2 year warranty and won't even come out to check that the door has problems. My building site was notified of this 3years ago when it was still in warranty but failed to get back in touch with me. The door won't open without forcing it and it even stuck at one point this year and wouldn't open at all, which is a fire hazard. I've been told to wait for persimmons who are coming out in 2 weeks but they won't be able to do anything, if persimmons doesn't pass it on. They've stated they had recently increased their warranty to five years but that doesn't help me or anyone else that's unfortunately in the same boat. They've sent me instead a diagram of how to adjust the door which I don't understand due to not having a DIY bone in my body. I am not the first unsatisfied customer and most likely won't be the last. Find a door company that has better warranty and who has your best interests at heart.

Terrible experience with the company. Issues have been ongoing from 2024 and still going on today.

Our latest issue - we were to get our front door and door frame replaced due to the excessive gap between the door and the door frame, which far exceeds tolerances.

Various inspectors attended our property prior to fitting and it was confirmed both a new door and frame would be refitted.

On Saturday 22nd March 2025 an engineer from IG Doors attended to fit a new door however, no frame.

Later on Saturday evening we had water leaking through the “new front door” due to the weather. Thankfully, we were at home when this happened and were able to prevent any severe damage. However, as it rained for the majority of the evening my partner and myself spent the time constantly mopping up the water that was coming through the door. Thankfully we noticed it before our toddler walked through the hallway - I dread to think what would have happened if he walked over the water and slipped.

It’s also a concern the water damage this could have caused to the inside of our property had we not been home.

The lack of communication from IG Doors has been appalling. I sent an email regarding the above information on Sunday 23rd March explaining the above and attached photographs to show the water coming through the door. I fully expected a response on the Monday and stupidly expected an engineer would attend at some point on the Monday to rectify the issue.

Our builders also emailed IG Doors asking for an urgent response due to the weekends events however, no response. Regardless of numerous engineers attending and agreeing a new frame and door would be supplied we have been made aware by the builders that a new frame was not part of the agreement. Not only am I extremely disheartened by the customer care from this company, I’m also very confused as to why I have a “new front door” when it’s the frame that is the main issue.

Unfortunately this isn’t our only experience with the company or their doors. We have been in our home for just over 2 years and have had 3 doors replaced due to doors being warped etc. An IG Doors engineer previously attended to fit our last door and drilled through our doorbell, to date we have a doorbell that is only for show.

I’m disgusted by the company’s lack of communication, workmanship and customer care.

Had a composite door manufactured by iG doors fitted 23rd march 2021 by a window company the last few months my door have started peeling and gone really faded it’s looks awful, my old white pvc door looked in better condition than this one, got in touch the IG doors all they do is they recommend is to paint it, I’m not being funny, I’m not paying £800 for a door to be painted 4 years after it’s been fitted, absolutely disgusting service

Our new build house (purchased in 2022) has an ig front door which we have noticed is starting to delaminate at the bottom ( starting to fall apart) when we contacted ig doors was told it only had 2 yrs warranty, since looking around for another door most other company's offer 10yrs so if your thinking of using ig doors DONT!

0 stars! We live in a new build house and have had endless issues with our door, initially thought we were just having bad luck, however 4 new door mechanisms down we thought there’s more to this, had a local company out who said our door was severely bowed and that’s the reason.
Contacted IG DOORS who said we only have 2 year guarantee. Most other company’s issue 10 year guarantees.
Clearly supplying awful quality doors, as we are not the only people where we live to have encountered issues! Would not touch with a barge pole!

What a fantastic company to deal with , listened to our concerns and acted quickly. Highly recommended 10/10 service also from Nadia
