I have had an awful experience which has put me off going here or trust the brand.
No one thinks a few minutes extra in the car par should incur a 100£ fine when buying in store, despite pleading via all customer avenues, they show no sympathy whatsoever to customers making a genuine well documented error.
They don't apply common sense, they don't assess the proportionality of the fines or are willing to listen.
I has been a heartbreaking experience as a previous loyal customer.
They pride themselves to help customers with a small budget then they do this to their customers.

Avoid at all costs (online purchase). First, Evri pretended to have delivered the goods. The picture was neither of my house nor of the parcel. A few days later a badly damaged parcel that had obviously been opened was left on my doorstep (by the Evri driver-footage on security camera); he didn't ring the doorbell so no chance to refuse the delivery. Box was clearly unsuitable for weight of content and packaging totally unsecure. Contacted HB customer service, they arranged collection (didn't seem to worry the whole context, clearly someone following a script). On collection day, the driver (same Evri driver) refuses to take it (he recognised the parcel). Now none the wiser. HB, never again!

My order arrived damaged, which wouldn't normally be a problem. What is a problem, though, is finding and navigating their useless human-free customer service.

I'm a carer and regularly bring different people to the Carlisle Store at Kingstown. Not only are the prices amazing but the Customer Service Skills are amazing 👌 The staff go out of their way to make sure everyone's happy 😊

Absolutely useless - nothing worth buying from them. Waste of space previously occupied by Homebase, who had at least been occasionally useful.

Customer service non existent in Canton Cardiff store. Recent issues include ten people + in a queue where another checkout not opened. Yet multiple staff stocking shelves and personally chatting to each other ignoring the customers in store. One member of staff you get no please or thank you through the whole exchange the same person who was shouting over my head to another customer whilst waiting to be served. The store might aswell be self service checkout tills for the customer service experience given.

On two occasions I have witnessed the way these so-called supervisors speak to the younger staff today one young member was clearly not well and one called Sophie did not treat her well at all and I also found out this young girl was made to scrub the toilet with bleach on her hands and knees which is illegal as there is no window in the toilet and she had a severe reaction so treat your young staff better Home Bargains Leigh

Delivery was 4 days late. Lies from both home bargains and Hermes/Evri. Continually fobbed off by both companies, and blatant lies from both.

Now waiting for the parcel to be picked up. Again, second day having to wait for the parcel to be picked up.

Will NEVER use home bargains again, and also will NEVER shop in their stores.

Home bargains also has had my money, making interest, and is so slow to sort this fiasco it's unbelievable.

What is it with the toilet facilities in Home Bargains Denbigh Branch?
Absolutely disgusting, never toilet paper, smelly, nearly always no hand wash. Floor is dirty, dust everywhere and the toilet itself is filthy.
Why not establish a routine of the toilets being checked every hour and cleanliness kept on top of! Even go so far as to provide a toilet brush, so that people can attempt to clean up after themselves, install a fan and an air freshener..disgusting

The west Drayton store is clean and tidy and staff are so helpful, the cafe is really nice great service the manager has an amazing team, and it’s a pleasure to shop and browse in this store. The manager and his assistant manager are so helpful and go out of there way to answer any questions about stock etc, keep up the great work and thank you again

Ordered about 15 products from them and I only received one of them after about 6 days. I will never use them again or recommend to anyone else.

We visited your store today at her mission gate , looking to buy several pairs of pyjamas, and I wanted to say what an outstanding experience we had thanks to George.

Chester branch, Tarvin Road. Consistently excellent, products, customer service, welcoming and friendly. All the staff work very hard, efficiently. Store well stocked, organised and tidy. Its a pleasure to shop there. You are a good example of 'how it should be done'. Well done.

The staff are always happy , helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble.

I’ve had the worst day then being told I need to go shopping on The way home made it even worse untill I met Anna on till 4 at the Colchester store on the hythe she was very nice and happy and took an interest in me and the people in front of me it has really made me smile that a stranger with great customer skills has change the way I was feeeling she should be treasured

The store is good but the cafe was terrible, no alternative to milk was on offer and lack of other items

I visited the Home Bargains Keighley store yesterday to do my holiday shopping. I was struggling to find a few items, but Armaan was fantastic. He took the time to help me locate everything I needed and went above and beyond by suggesting suitable alternative options.
I was also extremely impressed by the exceptional customer service provided by Mina, the Store Manager. She has clearly turned the store around and has built a great rapport with her team. On previous visits, some team members appeared disengaged, unhelpful, and unwilling to assist. However, during my visit yesterday, every team member I interacted with was friendly, approachable, and eager to help.
The positive atmosphere throughout the store was a real credit to Mina and her excellent leadership and management skills. Thank you to the whole team for making my shopping experience such a pleasant one.

Good prices for items but you must buy it when you see them as they never seem to restock
