Awful company
Awful company and if they ever get anything done it is a pace that would make a snail look like Usain Bolt.
It also looks like they are purchasing/writing fake reviews on here. The recent flurry of 5 star ones are all similarly written and name check specific staff.
Avoid at all costs.

Outstandingly bad
Expensive and shoddy service. Hazelvine have a very high turnover of staff so you rarely deal with the same person twice. They bill for work that hasn't been done, are slow to act, and have a number of different related companies so that they can pay themselves wherever possible. Don't buy a home managed by hazelvine.

Sarah and Laura in extremely professional and always checks that the work is completed on time and to a high standard. It is a pleasure to work with such professional management company. With Sarah & Laura as you property managers and Hazelvine as our managing agent residents should never worry.
Maureen Arthur at Bramley Court Orpington
Maureen Arthur has fairly recently be appointed to look after Bramley Court, Orpington. What a breathe of fresh air! She is attentive, conscientious and frequently visits the site, which has been needed to bring it back to a good condition. She communicates well and is constructive and positive.

I spoke with Jessica, she has been the most proactive, positive and helpful person. I hope there is a reward scheme in place and that Jessica goes to the top of the pile. Hats off to her, she has restored my faith in provision of good service to customers. Well done.

We had a problem with the pump that was…
We had a problem with the pump that was located in the the boiler/plant room of our building. I contacted Maureen Arthur and straight away she organised for an engineer to come and have a look at the problem and organise repair works to be carried. She is very professional and conscientious to the point where she came to visit the building to ensure all was in hand and communicate this to the residents. Excellent!

Maureen Arthur has been looking after Bramley Court since October 2020. I have been here for 3 years. She is always concerned that everything works as it should, especially regarding the security of the block. I have been very impressed by her prompt reaction to any issue, her immediate response in communicating information, and general good-natured attitude at any time, to any problem. She is a real asset in your organisation.

Maureen has restored my faith in hazelvine
I’ve lived in my property for 8 years and dealt with countless incompetent property managers who do not follow up on works and repairs.
This has now changed as the the property manager Maureen is amazing, she actions things fast, her customer service is great, she even called me up personally to see how my cancer scan went and my faith in hazelvine is being restored, Maureen is a godsend and frankly deserves to be paid more than the previous property managers as she is doing the job way and above in my opinion when you compare to previous property managers who literally did nothing and I considered taking hazelvine to court for breach of contract, for breaking the lease agreement saying repairs would be done in reasonable time. She has already begun the process to repair to major issues that have been not actioned in 8 years of ownership.

Blocked drains
Getting a blocked drain sorted out was very frustrating and time consuming due to the nature of the blockage, but the people I dealt with were professional and courteous. I'd particularly like to thank Daanyaal who unfortunately, was often in the firing line, but acted professionally and courteously and got the job done.
Hazelvine Bristol
I have a flat in a block in Bristol. Nikki Honeywell (Bristol office) has been managing it for about 5 years. She is professional, reliable and doesn’t hang about, dealing with matters arising swiftly and efficiently. Nikki keeps us well informed and thanks to her I feel confident that all relevant matters are being handled safely to the benefit of leaseholders and tenants.
I’m on the fence I think
I’m on the fence I think. I own a leasehold flat on one of the Redrow developments and although Hazelvine eventually get back to me and the answers are (usually) helpful, I nearly always have to chase responses and unless you ask VERY specific questions, the responses you get are usually vague. Communication to tenants is also quite poor, with residents having to proactively chase and question information themselves. I haven’t found leaseholding a particularly pleasant experience but that being said, I do believe that the company are trying to improve and listen to the feedback that they are being given. One thing I will note is that this company have a shocking reputation in the city where I live, with solicitors and estate agents hating having to deal with Hazelvine because nothing is ever done proactively and without extensive chasing of information.
Lisa is extremely professional
Lisa is extremely professional, informative, helpful, and very hard working. Nothing is too much trouble for her. I have reported maintenance issues at our property, Clifton Court in Surbiton in several
occasions, and have always been treated courteously with prompt ness. Lisa investigates the situation and reports back to me immediately with what has to be done and the matters arising are resolved speedily. I commend her on her courtesy and clear and prompt communication. She always handles queries positively and efficiently, with politeness and quick action. I thoroughly commend her, and thank her without hesitation for her unfailing help.

I bought a beautiful apartment in a Redrow new build block in June 2016. Since that time the communal areas have been allowed to deteriorate significantly.
I’ve requested grass reseeding on lawns for 3 years and poor dying strip lighting in garage to be rectified - with no improvements made. More dangerously we have had 2 water damage events from the roof that have left the lift not working for long durations....the accompanying damp and black mould in the stairwell has been left for months too. I have been waiting 8 days for a reply to my request for an update as to when the most recent event (November last year) will be rectified. Ruinous disregard for welfare of tenants and owners. Avoid.
Great Property Management
We have been working with Hazelvine from the Bristol Office for several years now and find them great to work for. We have a great level of communication with all the Property Managers who respond to the needs of the customers.
Your Property Manager should feel part of your Residents Management Company
I am the owner of leasehold flat and a small estate of 20 properties which is a mix of 3 leasehold and 17 freehold properties which has its’ own complexities. I am also one of the three directors that manage the residents management company (“the Company”) and I am submitting this review on behalf of all three directors.
We have been working very closely with the Hazelvine Property Manager, Pete Birch, for almost three years now having previously had a number of different rather mediocre managers since the Company was established in August, 2015.
All three of the Company directors have had experience of working with property management companies at other locations and we can say with strong conviction that Pete Birch is a very good Property Manager who works very hard to represent the interests of Hazelvine but also takes account of the Company needs and our requirements that Hazelvine offers value for money, provides a high level of service and is highly responsive to any communication with any of the Hazelvine staff.
The three directors of the Company have regular board meetings (between 3 and 4 a year) and Pete is invited to these and always attends in person and, more recently, over zoom. These meetings are minuted and shared between the directors and Pete and a number of Actions are usually agreed; some of which are Pete’s responsibility. These he carries out efficiently and invariably in a timely manner. Those that take him a bit more time are usually because he requires another person to provide information or action something.
In summary; we regard Pete, and by default Hazelvine, as being an integral part of how we are effectively able to manage our estate on behalf of our residents all the while ensuring value for money and top class services.
Maintenance and service provider
We have been working with Hazelvine at Bristol for some time now, Laura Green and Nicola Honeywell are a pleasure to deal with, always provide lots of information and communicate really well, we worked with James Tarr previously and look forward to working with James on future projects.
