Our rates are based on the wholesale cost of supply and a reasonable margin, we work hard to attract and keep our customers. However, we are unable to consistently compete with bait & switch competitors. The bait & switch technique distorts market signals leaving consumers with the Sunwave's offers on our website you will see that they move up and down which reflects fluctuations in the market.

When we launched the product we were careful to explain the qualification criteria, however, our acceptance and rejection letters of your application did not include details of your historical consumption from your local utility. We are working on refining communications to include the details of your historical consumption.

We are sorry that you have not had a good experience with Sunwave. We recently launched new products that are priced very competitively. It is explained in the product description that you must qualify for the product and that you are submitting an application. There is absolutely no intent to bait, but to offer consumers with superior load profiles a better price. In fact, reward consumers for their load profile. In order to qualify you must have a load factor equal to or greater than 67.5%, we explain how load factor is calculated and that it is based on your actual consumption history. We will look to refine and improve our communication in order to improve your customer experience.

Thank you for your feedback and insights they are very helpful. Picking the right time and term to purchase can be tricky, as you have noted there is an element of chance with each decision. We have recently expanded our price offers to include start dates of up to 5 months forward for our current customers, this is a first step in providing a better forward view of price. This structure allows you to see further in advance where prices might be at the time of your contract renewal. In addition there are a variety to contract terms listed for each start month, you will see the seasonality within the various terms. We have a number of products and services in development that we are excited to launch, we believe they will fall into the disruptive innovation category, keep an eye out for their launch within the next 2-3 months.

Thank you for providing your feedback. Our prices follow the wholesale market for electricity, if the wholesale price of electricity increases our prices move up to reflect our increased cost of supply, likewise when the wholesale market prices fall our prices will move down. We also offer a variety of contract terms ranging from 3 months to 24 months, the length of the contract term can also influence the price relative to other offers. You will note that we recently expanded the number of offers on our website, we list contract start dates up to 5 months forward, this will allow our customers to see the price trends for various start months. The prices on our site are currently updated every 2 weeks. As a current Sunwave customer you can monitor prices for Dec 2017, you will see them move up and down as the market moves up and down. You do not have to wait until December to select a price, if you see a price you like you can select it at any time. Our customer service team is also available at anytime if there is a term or price that you would like that is not listed we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
