First Class Floor Sanding were a very knowledgeable and helpful company to deal with. We had all floors sanded in a Victorian 3-bed as well as some floors re-fitted after previous tenant had done a terrible job at it. We had new joists in the kitchen fitted after some damp problems as well as hearths re-stitched with floorboards.

Our needs changed throughout the job but the team were willing and able to accommodate to and to a very professional standard.

Communication was clear and the total price was competitive!

Nick and his guys did an amazing job refurbishing my living room floor. They were very professional, polite and knowledgeable. I have rarely had such a good experience with tradespeople. Nick and his team were polite, friendly, prompt to reply, very helpful with everything, including helping me move furniture which is not really part of their role, and they did a fantastic job on the floors which look beautiful. Their price was very competitive and they gave me a lot of information beforehand about the work, afterwards about how to maintain the property, and were always available on WhatsApp for any question. Fantastic service from First class floor sanding. I had my living room sanded and didn’t have high hopes of it looking that good but by the end I was so impressed. Everything was completed on time and exactly how agreed. Would definitely use them again as I would like my stairs and landing sanded too.

These guys are great. Nick and Stan are really responsive. All of the communication was really clear from the outset, but most importantly their team knocked it out of the park. Everyone that sees the floorboards says how good they look. A few gremlins along the way and they had solutions for everything. Go with these guys.

I found First Class Floor Sanding via the Rated People app. We wanted the laminate flooring removed from the ground floor, carpet removed from second floor and new floorboards installed in the loft conversion. We also asked for 2 flights of stairs to have carpet runner removed, sanded down and painted black.
Stan, the owner of the company came to the house shortly to survey the property and to check the original boards. It took about 3 weeks to finalise the scope of work and costs as we were having lots of other work done to the house prior to the floors. In these 3 weeks i was liaising with Nick, who manages the quotes. We Whatsapp’d called almost everyday and he always responded promptly. Once the work started Stan discovered some issues in the joists of the loft room, meaning the whole subfloor had to be replaced, which was an extra £550. The team were working tirelessly to get the job done on weekends. Because of the cold weather, the 3 layers of lacquer were taking longer to dry than anticipated so it meant the team were working an extra day. Nick didn’t charge me extra for this labour time. I am so delighted with the results and so glad i decided to sand the original floorboards instead of paying for engineered/solid wood boards.
