Refused to help out when I had to pay 30 euro a day for extra insurance because my paspoortname was not fully on my creditcard. In the Netherlands they only do the initials, so smart way to make dirty money! 21.30 with 2 tired childeren they said: cancel the booking and you'll get €140 back of the €190 euro and find yourself a car somewhere else! The car we got was shaking so bad at the highway, tire pressure sign turned on after 5 km and car pulled to the right.

I booked a car through Easyterra for Sicily. I took out additional insurance with the car so as not to have to pay an own franchise in case of an accident. They work in partnership with Hertz, but once I arrived, Hertz claimed that I still had an franchise of €2100 and did not have full cover. I contacted Easyterra about this but received no reply from them. The company they partner with contradicts what they are selling. I had to pay an extra €500 for full cover. In total, I ended up paying double – €1,000 for 11 days!!!!

Via Easy Terra een auto gehuurd op Sicilie - Catania Airport bij Felirent Srl. Auto ( Lancia Ypsylon) had vele krasje en beschadigingen. De belangrijkste waren wel gemeld op schadeformulier, van de rest maar zelf foto's gemaakt. Gelukkig bij inlevering daarover geen gedoe gehad. Bij het ophalen van de auto bleek de sleutel defect te zijn. Plastic hoes zat helemaal los en was met plakband weer "gemaakt" Kan auto alleen maar met de hand openen. Omdat er veel electronica in de sleutel en daarmee risico op storing, gevraagd om andere auto. Die hadden ze niet , werd gezegd. Deze mededeling kwam pas na een kwartier wachten, blijkbaar dus geen zin in. Ik kon kiezen, of deze meenemen of het contract beeindigen en zelf maar zoeken naar een andere huurauto. Na enige discussie werd zelfs gezegd dat ze de auto niet eens meer aan mij wilden verhuren. Toen maar op hoop van zegen de auto meegenomen. Last but least: €10,00 betalen voor hetwassen vande auto bij in levering terwijl hij vuil werd aangeboden. Kortom: met deze lieden geen zaken meer doen.

Kregen de auto niet mee omdat we geen fysieke creditkaart hadden, het bedrijf zei dat we dit via easyterra op moesten lossen. Easyterra wilde helaas niks voor ons doen, hele slechte klantenservice. Boeken gaat prima maar zodra er iets fout gaat zijn ze niet te bereiken. Ons geld dus ook helaas weg.

I rented a car through easyterra at Brussels Airport. The rental company was Europcar. Europcar deducted an extra 60 euros from my credit card until date I don’t know why. I have written to easyterra customer service about this and they didn’t reply back. As easyterra is the intermediary they have to follow up on this. They have replied and lied to my face not even bothering reading the contract. Avoid this company and rent directly from the rental company.

Absolutely appalling customer support. They sent an email shortly after I booked my car to say my booking couldn’t be completed only to later charge me the full booking fee and refuse to take my calls when I reported the error. I had rebooked after receiving the cancellation email and I was stuck paying twice!! I called dozens of times before my car hire date with no response or reply. Never again!!!! I have never experienced such awful customer service. They barely even acknowledged when I finally did get a response and the basically just shrugged.

Avoid !! I wish I had read all these reviews before booking. Unable to discuss concerns re charges by Europcar. Money just disappears from your account without any correspondence.

Absolutely Avoid .... unable to modify or see booking online as the E-Mails for logging in never arrived. Ended up having to call their helpline as my holiday was cancelled and I needed to cancel the booking. I knew there was a cancellation fee less than 48 hrs before the pick up - which is hidden deep in the voucher details and not available on the web site before the booking. I called at 31 hours before the pick-up. .... while other booking companies offer free cancellation, or are at least sympathetic and use their discretion ... Easy Terror informed me the cancellation fee was 100% of the booking fee with no exceptions. Do not book with this company if there is any doubt about your booking - it will cost you dearly!!.

Don't use this company. They charged my card and confirmed my booking then 4 days before departure emailed me oops we weren't able to book that car for you. Unbelievably bad service.

Wat een ellendige verhuurder. Geen contact mee te krijgen. Je wordt verbonden met zeer slecht Engels sprekende mensen die niet mee willen denken in oplossingen. Een klacht indienen is ongeveer onmogelijk omdat de site niet meewerkt. Heb uiteindelijk een andere auto moeten huren in Italië. Hier dus nooit een auto huren!!!!!

Booking is easy but if you want to change you have to call, can’t do it on the website. Calling will cost you an hour cause your on hold. The extra costs of extending they charge on my bank account which is not a creditcard. Instead of emailing they just cancelled the reservation, one day before we need the car! And that, ofcourse, they did by email! Costs us 75 euros extra for making an new booking!

Not terminal pickup - it was off airfield and no shuttle. To add insult there is then a surcharge for late pickup. None of this detail was provided in the booking confirmation or voucher. Just avoid - there are many other rental brokers.

Rejection of my reimbursement claim after 3 months because no police claim...
The damage concerned consists solely of a minor scratch caused during a low-impact maneuver against a wall, without the involvement of any third party, other vehicle, personal injury, or public property damage. Under such circumstances, contacting the police is neither customary nor reasonably expected in ordinary practice.

At no stage during the rental process was it clearly communicated that a police report would be mandatory even for minor single-vehicle cosmetic damage of this nature. Interpreting this requirement so strictly appears disproportionate and contrary to the reasonable expectations of a consumer purchasing excess reimbursement coverage.

Perfect choice.
Everything ( pick up / drop off ) was on time , per schedule. We got a vehicle the same what we were looking for ( clean , spacious , in excellent condition ).

Extremely disappointing and stressful experience with an EasyTerra booking with AutoUnion.

We arrived fully prepared for our rental: valid driver licence, sufficient funds, working credit cards, and separate insurance already purchased in advance with the rental via EasyTerra. Despite this, the staff claimed our credit cards could not be used for the deposit as the machine did not accept the pin, even after the cards worked perfectly elsewhere the same day. The card machine refused my PIN number multiple times, before then stating my card had insufficient funds. I had my Monzo Flex, which notifies me immediately with any refused payment via the app. No notification popped up and there was not suggestion any payment was attempted on my credit card - to which payment was ‘declined’ 3 times. We refused pick up of the car, headed straight to Europcar for an alternative rental booking - to which of course, the same credit card previously used, worked fine.

What made the situation feel very suspicious was that the “solution” immediately offered was to purchase their extremely expensive full coverage insurance. Once we refused, the attitude of the staff changed completely. We were pressured repeatedly and made were told we would not get the car unless we accepted additional charges.

At this stage, we phoned EasyTerra (the broker) & the customer service advisor could not reach a solution with AutoUnion. The customer service rep was prompting AutoUnion to provide a refund, however they refused. This was all filmed & we were told the recording of the phonecall would be kept on record. This customer service rep informed us she could do no more, and we should open up a formal complaint.

We have since opened up a formal complaint, to which we have received no outcome - despite the complaint being open for 40 days now. We have overwhelming evidence supporting our concerns, supported by the dozens of similar reviews on AutoUnion telling identical situations of other people. The complaints process has been disappointing, stressful, and simply not worth the hassle of booking through this third party broker.

Ironically, when booking AutoUnion on EasyTerra, they state the booking is ‘worry free’. Absolutely not the case.

I would avoid EasyTerra at all costs. Book directly with a reputable car rental company.

They are fraudsters do not engage! They will hire you a car their agents cannot provide, bully and intimidate you into paying more and then have to get your money back through the credit card.
