Debt busters do not get back to my query I have been on debt review from November 2025 and I received a phone call today the 5 June 2026 from MFC to say my account is in arrears and has only been paid for 3months so from November 2025 to June 2026 MFC has o ly been paid 3 times and put of those 3 payments only 1 has been paid in full the other 2 were short paid now when I'm trying to connect debt busters no one returns my calls or emails that is very poor customer service seriously

NEVER USE DEBTBUSTERS
I have been trying to speak with a manager for 3 weeks now regarding a complaint. DebtBusters is incredibly quick to call and email when signing you up, but once you have entered into an agreement with them, they will not respond to emails or calls. The way in which my case has been handled has been shocking, and cost me an additional R600. While Debt Consolidation is an amazing tool for taking back control of your finances, I strongly recommend that any potential customers use a different agency as DebtBusters does not have any customer service and you will never be assisted with genuine complaints.

Absolutely shocking service from DebtBusters. From the days of their old Church Street offices, I already picked up a lack of professionalism, poor work ethic, and an attitude of clients being treated like an inconvenience rather than people needing assistance. Sadly, nothing has changed.
Communication is practically nonexistent unless you constantly follow up yourself. Emails are ignored, promises are made and never kept, and there is absolutely no sense of urgency or accountability. I have had to waste endless time chasing updates that should have been handled properly from the start.
Even after receiving my clearance certificate, there has still been a failure to ensure that the necessary credit bureaus and platforms are updated correctly. This directly affects a person’s financial reputation and future, yet the matter is treated with complete indifference.
The service has been frustrating, stressful, and entirely unacceptable. Clients deserve transparency, professionalism, and competent assistance — not endless delays, excuses, and silence. By far one of the worst service experiences I have dealt with.

Watch out for Johannes Siku from debtbusters
My experience with Johannes Siku has been nothing short of a nightmare .
iam extremely frustrated with the handling of my matter by Debt Busters, specifically Johannes Siku during the onboarding process.
After engaging with them and providing my personal information, I have now been told that I am “not an active client.” This is despite the fact that I was clearly taken through an onboarding process, where my details were collected and processed.
When I requested access to all records relating to me — including call recordings, correspondence, and any documentation — I was met with resistance and no meaningful cooperation.
This raises serious concerns. Regardless of whether they now claim I am a client or not, my information was still processed. Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, I am entitled to access all personal data held about me. Their current stance does not align with these legal obligations.
There are also contradictions in their responses. I have been told that no payments were made and therefore I was not under debt review, yet I was still engaged and onboarded. This inconsistency is part of the issue being raised.
The matter has now been escalated to the National Credit Regulator, and I am prepared to take it further with the Information Regulator if required.
I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution and ensure they fully understand what they are consenting to before engaging with this company.
