Ripon not helpful
for years my 90 year old father has had his medication in blister packs. He is elderly and confused, so the packs work well from a patient safety perspective - they ensure he takes the right pills at the right time
the pharmacy has decided they will no longer provide this, meaning he gets 8 different boxes and has to figure out what to take when
given his early onset dementia, what Day Lewis have done is dangerous - he risks not taking medication when needed.
Their action flies in the face of CQC medication management guidance
Above and beyond trying to give great customer care
I called many pharmacies today for a medication out of stock where I am in Yelverton - this pharmacy was so friendly and helpful. She even chose to phone me back to tell me which other similar medications were out of stock so I didn’t get another prescription that was out of stock locally - really helpful and a breath of fresh air after speaking to so many less helpful local pharmacies ⭐
Worst customer service and staff attitude ever!
Day Lewis - in Hartley Avenue - Mill Hill - NW7: has to be one of the most inefficient outfits on any high street: with extremely rude staff!
I went in today to collect my prescription.
Only one person actually serving a patient - who appeared to have been there for ages - judging by the comments.
Person behind him eventually walked out muttering something about - I'm not waiting any longer it's hopeless here. Woman behind her eventually got her meds - and left - but came back because something was missing. She turned to me and said she's going to move to a different pharmacy.
I got my order - asked to speak to a member of staff who had been helpful in the past - we went outside. When I (dared to complain) she became quite hostile and her solution was - 'have you thought about changing pharmacy ' : couldn't be ruder if she tried! I asked why they never answer the phone - she said that they do. Rose and team - read the reviews here - many many many complaining that Day Lewis branches DO NOT answer their phones! Looks like it's company policy!!
You are causing great distress and inconvenience to people who are unwell and it's absolutely disgraceful.
I intend to report them to the General Pharmaceutical Council and Day Lewis would do well to remember that no company is too big to fail!!!!
Felixstowe branch. Rude, unfriendly staff
We use the Grove Medical Centre branch in Felixstowe. Whilst occasionally interactions with the pharmacy are good, overwhelmingly, staff are unfriendly to the point of being rude. I absolutely hate going to this pharmacy and do so only because it is convenient. Additionally, items are regularly missing from our prescriptions, but of course there’s never an apology. The staff attitude clearly reflects a company that doesn’t care about what customers think, and a total failure of whoever is supposed to manage staff at the branch.
My 90 year old mother was left without morphine
My 90 year old mother was left without morphine and other medication for a weekend after Day Lewis failed to deliver it on Friday. We were told that they hadn't got all the medication they needed and the lorry delivering fresh stocks had broken down. They didn't deliver what they had and didn't contact my mother or any of her family to let them know there was a problem. The pharmacy - in Wetherby - was closed over the weekend so there was nobody to speak to until Monday. (The message on the answerphone over the weekend is: We're busy at the moment, please ring back later. It isn't: We are not open until Monday.) When my sister complained, she was told that the pharmacist in charge on the Friday would ring her back. She didn't. When my sister went into the pharmacy to complain, this lady (Jane - she refused to give her surname) refused to discuss the matter or to apologise. Her rudeness to my sister and her husband (a consultant geriatrician) was astonishing: when they pressed for help in making arrangements for prescriptions to be picked up by Boots, they were told to leave. I am looking into taking further action against Day Lewis. In the meantime, I would advise anyone reading this not to use this company.
twyford branch
twyford branch - find this store very clean with helpful efficient staff in a well organised enviroment .would highly recomend
Great when inside but they NEVER PICK…
Great when inside but they NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE.
Saturday chaos!
Today I would rate our pharmacy as a 3 star enterprise. There were only 2 assistants and the pharmacist for the entire business. It was a Saturday and it closes at 1:00 so it was packed with people trying to collect their prescriptions before the weekend!
The newish till system was having a fit again and so was the system bringing up the records and apparently the phone isn’t working properly either.
The ladies remained very helpful and tried their hardest but some prescriptions were not there, system!
Some stock hadn’t arrived, system!
And the till was iffy, system!
What senior management are doing to ensure their pharmacies are running smoothly remains an interesting query. The pharmacy is always busy and provides some excellent and timely services but it appears to be let down by insufficient staff and poor, newly installed management systems.
The staff here couldn’t be kinder and are helpful. Topsham needs a good pharmacy and will always appreciate one, so please, Day Lewis management team work harder to back up your local staff and services!
Shambles
Shambles . Worst pharmacy in Torbay by miles . Go to mayfield instead they are brilliant .
Great experience
Very pleasant staff. Only waited a few minutes for my prescription to be filled. Good seating whilst waiting and also with lovely air conditioning in this heatwave!
Day Lewis - Montague Street, London E1.
Even though this pharmacy is always incredibly busy, the staff remain kind, friendly, and professional. My prescriptions are always ready on time, making every visit a great experience.
Brilliant service. They are the best.
I rang at 9am about some things not delivered and they arrived 90 minutes later. I cannot fault this pharmacy and their delivery staff, and I thank them for their brilliant service.
The Leeds Road Pharmacy in Harrogate…
The Leeds Road Pharmacy in Harrogate was extremely busy for the 30 minutes that I was waiting for my appointment. At 16.20 the manager left the premises to go home - leaving the remaining staff to try and cope with the amount of people waiting.
The pharmacy staff are extremely rude…
Re:North Kilburn Day Lewis pharmacy London
The pharmacy staff are extremely rude and incompetent, when issuing medication, I have experienced many errors over a period of time.
I would recommend for anyone that is having a similar experience to report your concerns directly to General Pharmaceutical council
useless and a rip off

torquay southover pharmacy
torquay southover pharmacy. if i could i would rate this southover pharmacy into special investigations.this pharmacy are putting patients lifes at risk and have already done so.this pharmacy has no respect for patients welfare. apparently you have to give doctors 2 weeks notice for a repeat prescription , then 10 days wait from southover pharmacy. stop messing around with patients health

Very helpful chemist, very friendly and professional service
Not one member of staff acknowledged me.
Not one member of staff acknowledged my presence when I entered the pharmacy in Liskeard, Cornwall and while I was standing at the counter for 15 minutes. No smile, no nothing, I was a non-person. There were 3 customers waiting for their prescriptions at the time. I waited patiently for a further 10 minutes, sitting on a chair whist staff were answering the phone and sorting out problems with orders etc. I decided to leave after 25 minutes and went to Boots pharmacy. They were busy with customers , however I was acknowledged with a happy smile from a member of shop staff. My problem was an infected, large swelling on my knee, due to an insect bite, which hadn't responded to topical treatments. The staff and pharmacist were prompt, efficient and friendly. A simple, 'sorry, we are busy and there is a long wait,' from at least one of the Day Lewis staff would have been appreciated. I wonder how Day Lewis staff would feel if they were ignored in a similar situation. As a retired nurse, no matter how busy I was, I always made time for people. No one was ever ignored, even the quiet ones in the background.
