Like others

Like others, I don't know where else to write a review either. I placed 2 orders 3-4 weeks ago here in the US and one order is still in process and the other shipped over 10 days ago- the arrival time for my order has moved from dec 2 to dec 10 to 'order arriving late'. My order that is in progress only has 2 items... so I have no clue why it's not even in a box tracking already. I absolutely love davidstea but I'm super bummed with the shipping and lack of communication. I understand Thanksgiving is a busy time for online orders and delays happen but this is ridiculous. Had I known orders would take THIS long, I would not have ordered an advent calender. I've been a loyal customer for over 6 years but I'm really starting to feel I will need to find a new tea company. Which is definitely a bummer since we already lost Teavana years back and DavidsTea helped fill in that gap. I really hope they can get it together because they have some really amazing teas and the absolute cutest tea accessories.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service.
Have been waiting over 3 weeks for my order and they still haven’t processed it. The man I spoke to said it could still be at least a week before it’s shipped out.
They need to change their website to say at least 6 weeks and you still might not get your order.
Will never use online again

Worst customer service

I’m between a 2 and 3 star. Their tea gets 5 stars. Amazing tea. Customer service is zero stars. I’m on hold for the 4th time (they keep disconnecting me). I ordered 12 days ago and it still hasn’t shipped. I get they are busy, but 12 days to put stuff in a box and slap a label on it? It’s not like they are waiting for product; 3 of the things I ordered now say “out of stock” when I check my order status. I’m sure I’ll have to call back to get a credit as that hasn’t shown up on my credit card yet. Very frustrating.

Gift delivery arrived postage due!

A friend ordered an Advent Tea sampler for me. It arrived with $15 postage due because DavidsTEA did not weigh the package correctly. Since I had to pick it up at the post office I thought I would just pay the postage and then contact DavidsTEA. Big mistake. Their email contact has an auto response telling you to call. When you call you are put into a waiting queue, which hangs up on you after 30 minutes because "your time is valuable and they cannot bear to have you wait any longer". No option to leave a message or request a call back. I'm on my third day of trying to get through...

Disappointed

I don’t know where else to write a review. Ordered Advent calendar and Christmas gifts on Nov. 26. I understand shipping might take a bit longer but it’s December 6 now and they are still processing the order. They say it may take 2-3 weeks for delivery. Do not purchase anything online if you want to receive it before Christmas. It will not happen.

Untrustworthy Company that Robs Customers

I do NOT recommend purchasing from this company, especially online. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. I purchased an order online and made sure that I spent enough to get free shipping. It turned out that one product I ordered sold out AFTER I finalized my online order but BEFORE they filled my order at their warehouse. So when I received my order, it was missing this product. I called customer service and spent hours just trying to get through to their customer service department. When I finally got through, I was told that the product sold out so they weren't able to provide it to me, but that they would refund me the price for the product. Instead, they CHARGED me for SHIPPING (which was supposed to be free, based on my order) and only refunded a miniscule amount for the difference due to the one product they couldn't fill for my order. They have become SO untrustworthy and unreliable. I will NEVER order from them. They have lost a regular and loyal customer simply because they have become greedy and don't stick to their word.

What a terrible customer service

What a terrible customer service !

My wife ordered a few boxes of tea for Christmas gifts for her friends.
But she really disappointed as soon as she got. Because  some boxes of them was damaged  seriously. She can't possibly give them as a gift.

She tried many times to reach customer service, they didn't answer the phone and even hanged up first after 30min while she keep waiting until they answer the phone.
This was her first time experience of buying from David tea,but it was really made me upset.
She and I are not gonna buy again and not recommend this company.

What a waste

I have ordered two perfect spoons from David's Tea, (I really like the spoon). The first spoon came in a padded mail envelope, (which was perfect since that was all I ordered). Later I ordered another spoon for my sister and it came in a box bigger than a shoe box, filled with paper and the spoon), which was the only thing I ordered. Some of their stuff is way over prized and the big box for "1 spoon", was ridiculous.
I have wanted to try some of their teas, but with their prices so high and the way they package items, I think I will pass. Such a waste.

I got a free sample ca Oct. 25th 2022...

I got a free sample ca Oct. 15th 2022 in Toronto. It was a single bag of "Organic Cream of Earl Grey." Although I let it steep for long enough, the brew remained palid. And the taste? Crikey! Parfumėe(?) It was a bit like drinking a lady's perfume! Awful. With eyes closed, I would not have recognized it as tea at all. Hoping to email you and let you know, I just couldn't find an email address, hence this 'review.'

No way to talk to cuatomer service.

No way to talk to cuatomer service.. was charged never received any products.... forget the weeks it took to process my order.. waited a month with tracking and nothing......

Customer Service is the worst

I love their teas but my god their customer service is the worst possible. I placed an order on Sept 19. On Sept 24 they sent me an email saying my order is delayed. No indication of how long. I am currently on the phone with their horrible customer service and she is telling me they delivered my order on Sept 23. I have not received my order yet. Why would they email me on Sept 24 telling me it's delayed when they delivered it on Sept 23.

great teas, terrible shipping

they have phenomenal teas, but customer service is HORRENDOUS.

i've made two orders from this company, and both times my order was messed up.

first time, i receive my order and i notice a tea is missing, so i contact customer service and they tell me that it was out of stock so they refunded me, but i received no message about it. whatever, its one tea, but i would appreciate an email giving me a heads up about it.

second time, my order arrives and the $35 dollar tea bundle i bought is not with my order. they just completely forgot to include it. i contact customer service, they say theyll send me a replacement. few days later i come back to ask what's up with the replacement, they tell me that it is out of stock and they'll refund me. this was highly disappointing as they were limited edition teas i wanted to try, and if they had just gotten my order right the FIRST time there would be no issue.

they are also terrible at reflecting their warehouse stock on the website. if the website allows me to buy something, it's only normal to assume it's in stock, right? not with this company. they let you buy the item, and then days and weeks pass with you wondering why you didn't receive the item, only for customer service to tell you it's out of stock. first of all, please be better at reflecting that on your website. second of all, customer communication needs to improve. if you're not going to send me something and give me a refund, don't keep it a secret! at least send the customer a message about it.

this company is just a pain to deal with. order fulfillment is lacking, and customer service does not really care and all they can do is give you a refund, nothing more to please a dissatisfied customer.

Rotting water bottle and bad customer service

I bought a water bottle, and the lid started turning black (rotting?) After about a month even tho I washed and dried it well often. I contacted customer service which said they would send me a lid, then two months later, when it didn't arrive, they gave me a 15$ gift card and said there were no lids. I don't care about 15$. Now my bottle is unusable, and I have to go spend money at this company AND throw my good condition (except for the lid) bottle away? Deplorable customer service. I will never buy my tea, nor bottles there, after that useless 15$.

Online Ordering

Online ordering is just chaos and difficult. Been contacting them by phone and they give you a temporary password that is not working..all is just like finding a needle in the haystack. I was going to make an online purchase but it is not worth stressing and calling them for the nth time.

very interesting stuff...

I have never been a serious tea drinker. I have decided to try and become one. So, I have started to drink, one by one, each and every type of tea that this Company is selling. It is like discovering a whole new world... Here are my remarks, covering what I have tasted/tested in the past few days: . "Earl Grey Vanilla" : very good; nice and smooth - unlike its British version… -

. "Valerian Nights" : totally delicious; I even ate some of it, i.e. the residue of the flowers, after brewing them... miam...

. the "japanese sencha" is bitter; it is also astringent (weird effect on the tongue); but I guess it’s good for you…

in general, the indicated dosages are quite honest; actually, one spoonful is largely enough; take this into consideration, with regard to the price; you can even make 2 cups, with just one spoonful (just let it brew a bit longer than indicated)

. "buddha's blend" : nice and smooth; relaxing;

. "read my lips" : quite refreshing (re: subtle touch of peppermint)

. "silk dragon jasmin" : definite contrast, between the aroma and the taste; it smells very sweet, but it is bitter (green tea); I also had a one-shot, suprise-diarrhea, but perhaps it is because I drank this first thing in the morning, before eating anything; so, let's call this incident an episodic intestinal purge, and move on ("sh** happens", right?)

oh, this one is downright magical...

"golden lily"

it is in the form of some kind of clusters... so, you put them in that strainer that they provide, at the bottom of it, 10-20 such clusters, you pour the boiling water... and 2-3 minutes later, the whole thing is full !! those things "open up"! they become leaves !!

that part, is like magic

BUT, the tea is slightly bitter...

low caffeine, though

but bitter...

then again, that's the way some people like their tea

try it, and decide for yourself
