Had problems with the Data/GPS function on Guardian 3 Pro for the past four months. When speaking Steve he diagnose issue straight away and sent me out a new SIM with EE, this arrived the next day...
Now everything is working how it should be.

Great potential but poor experiences
Good product (4*), poor business model reduced review to 2*
The potential for this watch is tremendous as so many carers want to feel they can keep their caree safe and monitored when alone. I assume this is how they won the award.
I couldn't feel I could leave my partner at home for any time without something in place and chose this because it was family monitored.
Unfortunately the backup from the company selling it was hopeless. They show little understanding of, or compassion for, the plight of those needing such a device. The IT help is difficult to access and grudgingly given. There is no feeling of urgency in sorting a device that malperforms and little understanding of the impact of a strange outage in the whole service this summer. No interest either in the loss of monitoring data of the patient when the service did eventually resume.
The stress of keeping the watch always functioning to protect my partner whilst paying quite an expensive monthly Sim plan has left me totally stressed and dissatisfied.
An alternative that uses a call centre but also communicates with contacts is 'Yourstride' and I recommend this company be checked out.
UPDATE
Having gone through 3 watches now in less than a year my star rating for the actual device may be optimistic. It may be more fragile than I thought.
EVEN FURTHER UPDATE/AMENDMENT 4/12
Since posting this review CPR have been diligent in reacting to my problems with the watch. They have done tests, sent replacements (as alluded to above) and re-set the SIM---with the result being it appears work on 'towers' in your area can completely knock out the signal to the device and cause you to think the watch is faulty.
I was lulled into a false sense of security by their claim they "access all major mobile networks when signal from one operator is low or lost, CPR Chameleon automatically connects to another available operator, ensuring you always have a good connection"
They politely requested I amend my review. The help lines have been very solicitous to me recently but the fear of tower work knocking out the signal makes considering a plugged in box by Careline a solution not to be dismissed, even though it doesn't give family monitoring and a discreet watch which CPR does.
I also apprecitate CPR reducing the sim costs over Black Friday and acknowledge the call centre connection in the Gold plan for when your contacts do not pick up.
I would say do your homework before choosing.

Thank you Chelsea (COO) for your reply. I am pleased you are committed to giving customers satisfaction. I cannot fault the generosity of replacing watches although it does seem a strange business plan. I have also recently been sent new charging leads and even one of your plugs you felt I should use because an unresponsive watch was not charging. It turned out however not to be a solution and yet another watch was sent out.
I do think your customer agent has tried (unsuccessfully unfortunately) to find a solution to each problem as it has arisen.
However I would like to address your thoughts on resolving issues swiftly and using customer feedback.
When a problem has arisen for me, as a customer I am restricted to your office hours to seek help and on a customer phone line that is not solely dedicated to the Guardian watch alone but is the one contact for CPR products including CPR Blocker. No wonder I am often waiting half an hour for the phone to be answered! Using email or Voicemail rarely gets much response.
Once having spoken to your customer agent, my experience of then awaiting the replacement (sent Royal Mail 24 admittedly) and if that part does not solve the issue, phoning again and awaiting another part/solution can take several days--especially if it occurs over a weekend. My latest problem dates from Decembet 14th and I am left paying a monthly Sim and have NO signal whatsoever at home.The watch/es cannot seem to pick up a permanent signal now although being connected correctly for months before your outage. Perhaps using 2G is just not sufficient and needs upgrading?
I DO NOT WISH YOU TO SUPPLY REPLACEMENT AFTER REPLACEMENT. What I need is a RELIABLE alarm watch that keeps my husband confident and safe in the knowledge that when I am not actually at home he can call me for help. When someone is prone to falls you need a device that works ALL the time and not erratically.
I am led to believe I am the only customer who has had such bad luck with the watches. Perhaps I am. I would love to know what was found amiss on those returned.
A carer's worst nightmare is loss of signal, inability to connect to contacts, dead device-- all scenarios I have experienced and make my watch not fit for purpose.
I hope this customer feedback is useful to you in the future as these are sincere and heartfelt comments.

The watch was delivered the day after ordering which I was very happy with! I had a couple of problems getting it working with the SIM card but the support team were very helpful in getting this resolved quickly. My mum is delighted with the watch and it has given her a real sense of comfort having it. Special thanks to Chelsea Davies ( the COO ) who picked up the phone call from me on a Friday evening and managed to make a configuration change later the same day. Fantastic customer service!

A Necessity for Elderly And Infirm
I am living on my own now my wife has passed on after 63 years together. I have had a couple of falls before she died. Now I have no one to help me if needed. Having read about the CPR Guardian watch I decided to buy one. I filled in the application form and waited. CPR phoned me back and for a small fee down loaded all the details and contact numbers for me for a small fee. That is optional &Well worth it. I recieved the watch next day , all I had to do was Download the CPR Guardian App on to my Smart Phone and register the watch as per instructions supplied. now it is already. If i need help I press the Alarm button on the watch and it contacts my designated contact(s) .The staff were very Helpfull and Friendly and I feel secure on my own and have the knowledge that Help is buta call away . A Necessity for the Elderly and Infirm.

Dad had advanced parkinson’s disease so he would fall a lot, so the watch gave us peace of mind as I knew it would alert me if Dad needed help. Also I could still get in touch with him even when he forgot to take his mobile phone with him to a different room or the shed. And it was simple enough to use so he could still call me using the watch even when he could not work his phone anymore. Dad liked the analogue face and the step counter.
The only issue we have had is that we live in a house with thick stone walls so signal in certain areas was poor but once located we just worked around those areas.

I recently purchased one of their gaurdian 3 watches for my grandad
I recently purchased one of their gaurdian 3 watches to help with my elderly grandad as he has recently become more prone to falls, not only this, but the falls are becoming more debilitating and they are making him anxious to leave the house or even do his gardening in case he has a fall and isn't near his phone. With the gaurdian 3 he seems to have gotten a lot of his confidence back which is amazing to see! CPR have also been great to deal so far as they helped us with the set up and explained which features and settings would be best for us.

Keeping my 90yo Grandad Independent - Updated from Previous Review!
---- Updated from my previous review as we've had excellent customer service helping to resolve some issues with the watch----
My grandad is in his 90's, but still largely independent and likes to take himself off out for the day. Unfortunately he's not so steady on his feet and has had a couple of falls, and he doesn't always have a way to contact us.
We looked at a few options, but they all required the device to be connected to a router based at home - no good for a man who is always out and about.
The CPR Guardian Watch is really simple to use, does everything my grandad needs, and runs on a mobile phone network, so he can use it everywhere he goes.
The screen is big enough to be clear to him, but not big enough to be intrusive or get in his way, and the fall assist and SOS siren are super handy.
The whole process from purchase to use was really easy - it was all set up and ready to go before it was sent to us, so we could strap it straight onto grandad's wrist the second it arrived!
We've also had some great support in the last couple of weeks while we've been working through some issues with it - Chelsea replaced the original watch due to some technical issues and went through the set-up with us by phone to make sure that the new one was doing everything correctly!
We're very glad to have found this little device to help grandad keep his independence, but also give him a bit of a safety net and give us some peace of mind!
My sincere appreciation to Chelsea for all her help with our recent support needs!

Ensuring safety of my daughter
As a mother, the safety of my pre-teen daughter is paramount. The Guardian watch has been peace of mind for our family. Even though she has a mobile phone, she could drop it, lose it or leave it somewhere. The watch is always on her. The GPS location tracking ensures I always know where she is when she's out with friends. The two-way calling feature is just like a mobile phone and we can call her and she can call us. There is also an SOS button that can be pressed in an emergency that will call us and is a reassuring safety net. I'm so grateful for this watch.

I am happy now to give a good review as the outage problems have been sorted. Since that has happened my peace of mind has been restored as I am able to check where the wearer is at any time of the day. I also find the route playback useful to see where the wearer who is keen on walking has been. It means the wearer also has confidence that I can find her and so can still be active and enjoy her many walks.
