A well overdue review but better late than never. We were recommended to Core Legal through our Broker, as they came highly scored in their service and cost effective. We were first time buyers so of course we took the recommendation from our broker and so glad we did. We were appointed to Mathew Dickinson and he took good care of us. The whole process was done through an online portal which at some points were abit confusing as we had never done this before, but Matthew and his team were always available when we called them for advice. As a whole, the process was quite simple. Core Legal worked quickly and we completed within 8 weeks. If you do read google reviews, ignore the negative comments because we really had a great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to use again. Thank you!

This was a sale of my late fathers bungalow which was quite traumatic.

Sofie Kenworthy and Zoe Walker at the Stockton branch have been amazing to work with whilst selling our house and buying a new house. Every email responded to immediately and no matter how silly I felt for asking, I was never made to feel this way at all. They have been brilliant, we finally made it into our bungalow. We absolutely had the best team, updates were great and I could relay everything to others who couldn't get info from other solicitors in the chain. Everyone was impressed with them and the speed at which everything was done, we honestly could not have asked for better. I have recommended them to anyone who will listen!!

Zoe Walker from Core Legal, was a great help in getting our House move to Completion. Despite being new to the Company and no doubt having a large workload to pick up after our former Conveyancer went on maternity leave, Zoe was always at hand to help us with any questions, and was always at hand when our Estate Agents needed updates. We are very thankful.

Me and my partner had a very stressful experience when using these solicitors. A week before we completed, they refused to answer any calls and didn’t answer any of our emails. We were first time buyers and only wanted to know the next steps but were denied any answers. This was very stressful and resulted in me having to turn up to the office. They were also not getting back to the sellers solicitors resulting in myself getting calls from their estate agents as they wanted to know if I knew anything going on which I didn’t.
Our quote was also changed and only found out when they sent the invoice through for us to pay as it didn’t match up with the original quote. I then had to call up and ask why my balance was over a hundred pounds over the original price. This in my eyes is very unprofessional and unacceptable.
My solicitor was Ashleigh and the top solicitor was called suresh.

I will go back to my usual solicitor in future. The service wasn’t awful but some important questions went unanswered & were chased many times.This really slowed down the process. They really let themselves down on that.

Zoe Walker took on my case as maternity cover towards the end of my purchase. From the point she took over I felt more informed as to where the process was, what still needed doing and a better informed timeframe to completion. Completion was straightforward with Zoe’s assistance and communications.

Lucy made a selling our parents legacy an easier process than we envisaged. House selling is usually a very stressful process, but more especially in this case because we were dealing with the emotion of the sale of our parents beloved home. We have been using William and his team on the purchase. Not only have we found his fee nearly £1300.00 cheaper than a local conveyancer we have found his communication absolutely spot on. My wife works for a local agent and has heard some horror stories about non local conveyancers but was really chuffed with the service so far

For the conveyancing side of our house purchase, we did, for practical reasons, ignore a golden rule in this. We accepted the selling agents recommendation of Core Legal, meaning that, for that reason of practicality, we knowingly sacrificed the traditional practice of the purchase and sale side being completely independent of each other. In the event, we award a middle ranking 3 star here, simply because our experience with Core Legal was not awful enough to warrant a 1, and not brilliant enough to warrant a 5. Our impression is that this is not your traditional, personal attention, high street conveyancing solicitor. Rather, this feels more like mass production conveyancing. The disadvantage of which is that there is less of the one-to-one personal attention with an experienced solicitor who has many conveyancing miles on the clock. Whilst the advantage of which appears to be perhaps lower cost of fee. Perhaps as a direct consequence, we do have to say that there were some boo-boos along the way by Core Legal, none of which would normally be expected from the traditional high street solicitor. So, all in all, we feel a 3 star is fair. A special mention though for Zoe Walker, who only came in right at the end, but, who, impressed us greatly, with her ability to overcome hurdles, and get the job done,
