The Co-operative Electrical Bewertungen 

Ordered a Zanussi Fridge Freezer, on Monday 24/07, for delivery on Wed 29/07. When I didn't receive an email advising time-slot for delivery on the Wed morning, I phoned them only to be told, that payment systems had gone down for a short time on the Monday and that the payment had not been correctly processed and that had delayed dispatch of the goods. (was annoyed they didn't proactively contact me to advise me of this), as I had received an email advising me to the contrary, but system issues do happen. They quickly arranged for Delivery next working day Thurs 30/07, and the Couriers themselves were courteous and removed all packaging without having to be asked , However the fridge was scratched at the front. Phoned next morning and was asked to send pics of damage, which I did, and they then promptly made an offer of compensation within an hour or so,. After some discussion with them over an acceptable amount to compensate for the scratch, agreed to keep the Fridge once we had settled on a reduction on the price.

Overall ordering experience could have been better, but Co-op redeemed themselves with the prompt way in which they dealt with my complaint concerning the scratch on the fridge. Will continue to do biz with the Co-op as i've been a member with them for approaching 20 years, and prefer to deal with a firm that i can be sure employ staff here in the UK, rather than some overseas callcentre. Pricing is sometimes a little higher than some other firms, but when things do go wrong they make an effort to put things right.

To be honest I did not want to put 1 star on here ..But had no choice as if I did not press a star I could not write my review .. SO NO STARS FROM ME.
MY Complaint seems to be very simular to others on here. .
I had a Gas Cooker bought for me by a wonderful charity that helps people that cannot afford or other reasons , from the Coop. So I had no choice to where my cooker came from but I was and am still so greatfull to them ..HOWEVER I WILL LET THE WOMAN KNOW WHO PICKED WHERE MY COOKER CAME FROM. . AS SHE TOLD ME THE REASON SHE PICKED THE COOP WAS THE 3 YEAR WARRANTY THEY OFFERED WITH MY COOKER ..
NOT TO USE COOP EVER AGAIN WHEN CHOOSING GOODS FOR PEOPLE IN FUTURE .AND THIS IS WHY ...
My first phone call was from a lovely lady who gave me the great news that I had been awarded a gas cooker from a wonderful charity. And that after looking at all company's for the cheapest efficient best quality for price ect .. She found one from the coop on line as they offered an extended 3 year warranty.
I was over the moon as u can imagine . And I was told coop would be in touch with me to arrange delivery only and then connection to follow from a local gas installer.
I did get a great phone call and the gentleman from coop was really good and helpful and arranged my delivery date .. He new I was in Sheltered housing and disabled .
The morning arrived .. I was unwell and a friend came to take delivery as time given was between 8/9am in morning . And they were spot on time as thankfully my friend had to work. .
So they bought cooker in ano my kitchen very small so my friend said I will just get out of your way to the 2 men as to let them unwrap the cooker. . But before my friend had closed doors they called out that they had finished .. Basically. They had just put it in the slot where cooker goes in kitchen. . DID NOT UNWRAP THE APPLIANCE. . AND IT'S SO TIGHTLY WRAPPED AND FULL OF POLYSTYRENE ECT.
PLUS TO TOP IT OFF .. THEY HAD NO PEN TO SIGN.
MY FRIEND DI'D NOT HAVE ONE OR FIND ONE .
SO AFTER THEMY JUST STANDING AROUND. . MY FRIEND SAID HE HAD TO GO WORK AND THEY HAD TO SORT IT . SO THEY LEFT SAYING THEY WILL FILL IT IN THEMSELVES AND NEVER EVER LEFT ME NO PAPER WORK OR RECEIPT TO SAY I HAD RECEIVED GOODS AND TO SAY I WAS HAPPY WITH DELIVERY ECT ..
OMG .. WHAT HAVE THEY WRITTEN ON MY PAPERWORK FROM ME ?? .AS MY FRIEND SAID IT LOOKED LIKE A QUESTIONNAIRE ALSO !!!!!!.
SO A FRAUDULENT DELIVERY INVOICE NOT SIGNED OR FILLED IN BY ME HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN FILLED OUT AND COOP HAVE ???!!!
I HAVE SENT EMAIL AND COMPLAINED AND AWAITING REPLY..
IT ALSO MAKES ME WONDER JUST TO WHY I HAD SUCH GREAT SERVICE WHEN COMING TO DELIVERY TIME.. ECT AS MOST COMMENTS ON HERE ARE OPPOSITE. .
SO I'M THINKING MAYBE THE ORGANISATION WHO GOT MY COOKER FOR ME MUST USE THEM A LOT AS THEY BUY ALL LARGE KITCEN APLIENCES! !?? AND MUCH MORE FOR PEOPLE. .
SO COOP GIVE THEM A PRIORITY ..
JUST A THOUGHT. .
HOWEVER IF I HAD THE CHOICE. .I WOULD NEVER USE COOP.
HOW AWFUL TO READ SUCH NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. .YOU WOULD THINK THE COOP WOULD ACT ON SUCH BAD COMMENTS. .
PLUS MY COOKER STILL SITS WRAPPED AND I'M HOPING THE GAS INSTALLER TOMORROW WILL UNWRAP IT FOR ME .!!

We had a very good experience with the Co-op - our gas cooker came exactly on time, was installed very efficiently and so I cannot complain.

Really poor service; avoid at all cost. Took the day off work yesterday (Thurs), was expecting delivery of a cooker. Received various emails throughout the day (6 in total) saying 'delivery would be within the next hour', they kept putting the slot back later & later. They never arrived (the last email had promised delivery by 10.20pm). Wondered if I should take the next day off work again, so contacted Co-op Customer Services at 9am the next morning. They said it should be delivered ok that day (Friday). Received an email at 10.45am saying I was 'delivery number 19 & the courier was currently at number 15 & he should be with you in approx 30mins'. Surprise surprise... no delivery by 1pm & I then received another email saying 'delivery should be made by 10pm this evening'. Phoned Co-op Electrical & asked for a refund. Totally shocking service. Stay well clear of this lot. Timewasters. Don't know how they can expect people to keep taking time off work for no reason.

Yes another good product from Co-Op. My washing machine was a good price and it arrived within the delivery slot given. They disconnected and disposed of my old machine and put in the new one, quickly and efficiently. I normally buy my white goods from the Co-Op due to the constant good service I receive. Also bought a TV from them too. Highly recommended.

Ordered a tower fan this week which was delivered by DPD. When I opened it, it was smashed. Rang Co-operative who said that although they would replace it, the item was out of stock and it would be another week before I might be able to get another one.
Was offered a refund instead, but they couldn't collect it for a further three days and I would then have to wait until they received it before I could have a refund. In the meanwhile, I have no fan in the middle of this heatwave.

Delivery day adhered to. One hour slot the evening before delivery. Men arrived within that time slot. They took great care of my large tumble dryer. A tight fit but they gently put it in its place and took all the packing away eith them. Dryer £50 less than a very well known electrical website. The co-op does not charge delivery. I will be using them again. Drfinately

Bought a new LG OLED TV from this company.
The TV has a clear fault as it won't find the channels when doing an auto search on set up.
Have emailed CO OP electrical and they did email back asking for details and I eventually spoke to someone. However, they are point blank refusing to offer a refund or replacement stating that I MUST go through the manufacturer and (if offered) accept the repair. I have pointed out that this is not what the sale of goods act states, doesn't make a difference to them.
Thank goodness I paid with my credit card that's a positive.

Ordered a dryer delivered on my chosen day . Emailed night before with a estimated delivery time so no waiting in all day like most other company's . Driver phoned they would be here within 30 minutes of my hour time slot polite unpacked dryer put it where I wonted . Happy carnt fault the service very impressed

Not impressed! I took the whole day off for the delivery and then it was cancelled the last minute. After calling the customer services and said that I wanted to cancel the order they "managed to redirect the delivery vehicle". Not sure what they are doing but I suspect they are using 10-year old satnavs that have fixed route and cannot cope with a single road closure (which is a daily occurrence in our modern life). The driver was not very polite on the phone but later explained that he was under stress as their satnav had issues with the route.

I have bought 3 Large items from Co-op Electrical over the past 6 months (due to a flat move) and they have been amazing from customer service to delivery and installation.

I've just seen a few negative reviews and can honestly say that my experience of Co-op Electrical, end to end, service was spot on.

My Indesit washer dryer was delivered, placed and installed as requested and they did all the correct testing before confirming it was ready for use.

They also delivered, unpacked and placed my Hotpoint Fridge Freezer with no issues and took away all the packaging.

My 3rd Item was a Samsung 40" TV which again I had no issues with.

My 60 minute time slot was allocated the evening before my delivery and they arrived within that time slot. They were friendly and helpful too.

I had to contact their customer service recently as the freezer is making some loud tapping sounds and they swiftly arranged a call out for me from Hotpoint themselves.

Can't fault them and would always recommend them.

Absolute waste of time.
Ordered my oven on Wednesday with an expectant delivery date of Friday - only to find that the coop have lost my order, but still managed to take the payment!
Phoned them up to find out when it would be delivered only to be told I've missed the cut off time for Saturday so it won't be delivered until next week now - wish I was that incompetent!
Still waiting for the 'return phone call!'

please please dont waste your hard earned money buying any large electrical itmes from this company, I bought larder fridge and a freezer as set around september last year, but the larder didn;t work properly had few repairs done, but no luck even though still under gaurantee, just beed told to get another so called repair, but what about my wasted shopping !!!

I bought an item from Co-op electrical in November through the topcashback site. They never paid the cashback and now refuse to pay it. The purchase tracked properly but they refuse to pay. ill never use this supplier again. if they don't want to participate in the program, then withdraw from it! It took them from November to March to decline it.Totally unacceptable so use another seller.

Bought a Samsung washing machine from them and paid for it to be installed, turned out to be a complete waste of time. They apparently needed a extension drain hose to connect it but of course they didn't have one in their van? They must come across this problem all the time but the guy just gave me some nonsense about this and that. So they left, without even knowing if the machine worked or not! Not only that, when he pushed the washing machine back, he managed to crush the water pipe behind it. The C-op Electrical customer service were absolutely useless and just said they would refund me my fee back. Never will l buy anything from the Co-op Electrical shop again.

Tried to buy an iron today but refused because my purchase was under £50! I foolishly presumed, due to my loyal custom, that I could purchase an item through the electrical store using the money I have in my account. I'm told I can spend the money but I can't buy what I want unless it's over £50. Why advertise products for sale under £50 if you don't let customers buy them! Haven't I already spent my money in your store with the belief if I saved my money I could purchase something. Well I won't be shopping in the coop again....better service with Tesco.

Offer was buy 2 large electrical items over a certain value and obtain £20 off.

The checkout confirmed the £20 deducted, yet they still took the full amount from the credit card. We have chased the Co-op Electrical and they are refusing to honour the promotion

Without the promotion, they were more expensive than other reputable Companies

You expect with the Co-op that they will honour their online promotions, it is false advertising too

I am having to contact the credit card company, as the only reason we bought from them was for the promotion and also Advertising Standards, as they also broke the law, let's hope they get a heavy fine and won't catch another customer as they did with me

I probably should have looked on Trustpilot first, I see very unreputable, the trouble is people assume the Co-op will be ok, as being a larger Company

Update: Just to note that this order was via EBay, Co-op tried to blame EBay as being their offer. EBay confirm that is was NOT their offer (as was obvious really). EBay want me to report Co-op to UK Trading Standards

The first - and probably only - thing you need to know about this review is that Co-operative Electrical know that I'm publishing it. After weeks of completely unacceptable service, I emailed them the review giving them 24 hours to get back to me and solve my issue. Predictably they ignored my email. Therefore this review is their acknowledgement that they would rather have a poor review published about them than listen to their customers and be seen as a responsible company.

The common theme here seems to be delivering poor quality products and indifferent customer service when there's a problem. That was certainly true for me. They delivered a dishwasher without a functioning cable. As the kitchen is fitted, I wasted over £140 on a handyman service who couldn't complete the job. When I called to complain, I was told that I need to launch a complaint via their customer service centre and I was told that they would refund me the cost of the handyman. I was given, very suspiciously, a personal email address of the customer services representative who told me that if I emailed their company address it would just get delayed. I followed up on that email 3 times but was ignored every time. I went back to a previous customer service representative and emailed her. I was answered by another customer service representative who stated that they wouldn't refund me and that I had received free installation anyway. So blatant lying, indifference and a complete lack of ownership seems to be their policy.

Like many others on this site, I really wish I hadn't been taken in by the lower prices of the products. In this case, lower prices equal poor quality of all aspects of the company. A high quality company like John Lewis wouldn't dream of treating its clients the way the Co-operative Electrical treats them. I will never use this company again. If you are reading this and wondering whether the small saving of the product is worth the hassle, I would strongly advise you to not risk the wasted money, time and lack of customer care that will very likely result from your purchase.

telephoned customer services regarding a toaster that had broken down, spoke to Adam at customer services on saturday and he told me that he would arrange either refund or replacement, spoke to my wife and she agreed to replace, rang back on Monday and spoke to Layla and she immediately arranged replacement to be delivered tomorrow, received confirmation email before i had put the phone down.....Excellent service ,
other companies take note

Ordered a laundry due to other one breaking down so needed one urgently. Placed an order on the Monday for it to be delivered on Wednesday. Received an email on Tuesday late afternoon saying there seems to have been a problem with Paypal, rang up but the person couldn't help me.
Someone rang me Wednesday morning saying the product is out of stock and I will have to re-order. They were not willing to offer any goodwill gestures (which you would expect.)
Save yourself the hassle and AVOID!.
