My conveyancer, Sophie Wheaton, was communicative, quick to respond, and processed the sale in a timely fashion (especially important as it was an auction property and therefore required an expedited completion timeframe).

I'd also like to shout out Jack Grout as well, who was really responsive and helped close out the final stages of the sale.

My dislikes were as follows, only communicating by email, I only got to speak to my conveyor at the end of a 7 month process. Completion took too long, no urgency applied. Vague emails every Friday to placate me until following week" we are following up with enquiries" I would have liked more specifics. The AI round up was confusing for example informing me that £5542.81 was required per month for building insurance, when I questioned this I was informed this was for 31 apartments, why was it highlighted in round up ? Too many assistants dealing with my case I was called " Andrew" twice when my name is Andrea very insulting and unprofessional. I was given very little reassurance throughout the process the conveyor showed little empathy throughout , I was very disappointed with this experience.

Quick and efficient. All questions answered promptly

We got there in the end, the online experience was okay but when needing to talk with someone it took a while for responses. The buyer nearly pulled out due to delays

The service provided by Maryam Begum, my Conveyancer was great. Answered any questions we had with no difficulty and everything went through smoothly.

Extremely disappointing experience with ConveyLaw.

Communication throughout our remortgage was very poor. Emails and voicemails regularly went unanswered, and I often had to repeatedly call just to get a response. Digital Move notifications would tell us there was an update, only for there to be nothing when we logged in.

Our original legal fee was quoted at £709 but increased to £1,165.40, with no prior written notification or explanation of the additional charges. We only discovered the full costs when our mortgage broker requested the completion statement, as our solicitor had not provided it to us.

On completion day, we were told the HSBC funds were £818.18 short, leaving us to find the money immediately or risk a lengthy delay. We paid it by bank transfer as instructed, despite the welcome pack stating that financial transactions should go through a secure portal. We have still not received a receipt, and the Final Statement of Account actually states “balance due from you £818.18” despite us already paying it.

Most concerningly, an issue raised by Help to Buy was apparently unknown to our solicitor until I brought it to his attention. I had to call five times before I could even get a response.

ConveyLaw’s own terms state that clients should be informed in writing of additional work and costs, yet this did not happen.

We have now completed, but the unnecessary stress, unexpected costs, poor communication and concerns over the handling of our payment have left us extremely disappointed. We expected a professional service and instead felt we had to chase and manage our own remortgage.

We used Convey Law for a change of ownership for a property and it was Anthony Murphy we dealt with. He was polite, efficient and helpful throughout. He was always available to answer questions and take us through our options. Can't recommend highly enough. Thanks

Very disappointing service with poor transparency over fees. Quoted £415, but £730 was ultimately deducted, including optional charges I did not knowingly agree to. Hiding additional costs in small print or pre-selected portal options is unacceptable. I have completely lost trust in this service and would not recommend it.

They were emailing weekly updates and all transaction from the start to the end took about three and a half months. The only minus is that all reports were emailed as pdf, they dont post paper copy ( which was a pain as my printer is not working).

Sophie was really helpful, efficient and made the process very straightforward. This took the stress out of selling our house. We would really recommend her services.
