I have used Coffee Beanery for years. Mark and his team always look after me perfectly. Every time I order my favourite coffee (Cafe Blend )it arrives very quickly which is ALWAYS good as I nearly run out!!. I purchased my mum one of their Cileo automatic drip machines and she absolutely loves it!! Thanks everyone at Coffee Beanery you have me for life!! Cheers Libby K
Terrible experience with this company. Pre-ordered a refurbished DeLonghi coffee machine that was due to be sent on the 25th of February. After a few weeks of emailing asking when it would be sent once this date had passed (I actually received replies to these emails while they thought I was still a paying customer) I decided to cancel the order and buy one from a shop. The order was cancelled on the 16th March and when I called to confirm it had been cancelled I was advised a refund would take 7-10 days.
This is where the trouble began just like for everyone else below. I emailed on the 3rd of April, 5th of April and 19th of April all of which were ignored. I called on 5th, 13th and 29th of April and spoke to a male who assured me this was highly irregular (obviously not given the reviews!) and that he would get someone from 'accounts' to call me back. Unsurprisingly they never did.
Finally I decided to dispute the transaction through Westpac and have since received my money back, but have no doubt that I'd still be chasing my refund if it were not for this recourse from Westpac. All in all a very dodgy experience that is clearly not a one off. Wonder if I'll get the laughable "this is a conspiracy" reply to my review....

I wish I had taken more notice of these reviews before trusting my money with these people. After having lost everything in my office in the recent floods I was hunting for a coffee machine. I contacted Coffee Beanery to check that the expensive refurbished machine advertised on their website was in stock. I was told yes, it was and that they would also throw in some coffee beans as I had been flood affected. I sent my payment via website with a comment to please let me know if any problem as I was hanging out for a coffee. There are still no coffee shops operating here and barely any supermarkets, so I truly meant hanging out. After a week or two of not hearing anything I contacted via email and received back a phone call saying the machine was actually not in stock but was expected in the next few days and I was top of the list to be supplied. I waited another week or two. I tried to call and there was no reply. I rang back and left a message asking for a refund. I emailed asking for a refund. I received an email letting me know that the machine will not actually be in stock until the end of May. I replied to that email asking again for a refund. I have not received the refund, nor a reply to that email. I have lodged a disputed transaction with my bank to have the transaction reversed as I do not believe I will ever receive anything. I note that anyone with a similar story seems to be told on here that they will be sued for libel. I simply want my money back so I can have a coffee!!!
You have replied as you have replied to all others. There is nothing Fake about my review and there is nothing that can not be substantiated with my email chain and record of calls. Please, potential purchasers be aware that as well as reporting this to my bank (which I already have done) I am considering taking it to the ACCC. Using my initials for privacy is perfectly acceptable when doing reviews. Your invoice and order number are available, should you have chosen to ask for it. I have copied the bottom of the invoice and receipt below - so anyone can see that it is real. All I want is my refund processed, as you have my money and I can't buy a coffee machine.

After my initial review and the claim that I am lying, I received a phone call in which it was agreed that you would refund my money, which has been done. That was done very promptly. In that phone call I was told that coffee beanery don't reply to emails as you are far too busy. I was told I was being unreasonable and an offer was made to pay me $100 cash to delete this review. As can been seen by other reviews it seems to be the standard reaction to claim that there is a conspiracy to tarnish coffee beanery's reputation. Perhaps if emails and phone calls were responded to and, most importantly, the truth was told initially as to whether something is actually in stock, there would be a lot less negative reviews. Now that I have my money back, I have purchased elsewhere with no fuss and can finally, three months after the floods, have coffee.

Good service and good product during difficult times . I ordered a refurbished Delonghi Specialista machine and the omicron wave hit so normal wait times of 2-4 weeks were completely blown out of the water. They sent update emails and when the machine did arrive it worked flawlessly. A couple of small barista items were in the Oder didn’t come with the machine arrived a week later with out being prompted by complaint , how good is that 😀
The machine being refurbished meant it was around 50% off new price and I can’t fault the machine so whatsoever they had to fix is spot on. Don’t be agarose to buy from the Coffee Beanery Neil Schmahl Canberra

I bought and paid in full for a Bezzerra Matrix DE, which I had confirmed was in stock. Consistently I was advised it was in stock, and that delays in delivery were due to Xmas, then Covid. Eventually, three months later, I received a refund after the company conceded they didn’t actually have one in stock.
Really great service. When I notified them of a fault with a component of an item we’d purchased from them, they followed up really quickly to sort it out and had the replacement part out to us less than a week later.

When I ordered the Cilia Electric Coffee Pot I was advised that it was out of stock. Their customer service through email and by phone were very prompt and attended to all queries. As there seem to have been issues with my order on it coming into stock again they actually forwarded it to me by express rather than standard allowing me to give it to the intended on their birthday rather than a later gift.

Ordered a coffee machine over the busy Christmas/New Year period, it toojk approx 2 weeks to arrive. The refurbished machine was in mint condition, as it had only made 35 coffee's previously. To date I've made several coffees and the machine works perfectly. The machine was 1/2 the price of new machines available in retail stores. Directly following my purchase, I saw some of the negative review of the Coffee Beanery. I was initially concerned that I had been scammed, but contacted the company and was reassurred that my machine would arrive. I requested a tracking number, that was forwarded to me immediately. I'm confused by the amount of negative comments on the reviews, but in my opinion, the Coffee Beanery delivered the machine I ordered in an appropriate time and for a massively reduced price. Happy Customer.

Pretty ordinary service. Placed an order of some items after getting a refund from another well promoted coffee related seller who pretty much had the same problem.
Items were shown as in stock, 1 was sent, I had to follow up on outstanding items, most of the outstanding items were sent, chased up one remaining item - no reply.
It was only a chase item but that's besides the point. If you cant reliably run an online operation (think - communication!) then just don't.

I've been using the Coffee Beanery for over 12 months and can honestly say they have exceeded expectations when compared to others for constant delivery of a quality product.
So pleased with my machine purchased from Coffee Beanery! Ordered a ‘refurbished’ machine and it seems to me it has to be brand new. Not a sign of wear or anything and it came packaged properly and still with the plastic over the screen. Small amount of coffee grounds detected but as it states in the manual all machines are tested before use (including brand new) and this is to be expected. Delivery was quick, particularly given current postals delays. Looking forward to trying out their beans in the future. Would highly recommend :)

Before I made my first purchase from Coffee Beanery, I was a little hesitant. Due to a few odd looking reviews on a page like this, and a couple others. However I made a phone call to Mark, one of the owners I believe. And he gave me the reassurance that they’re a family business operating here in Australia, doing the right thing. So I ordered the La Pavoni EuroPiccola, and I could not be happier. The machine came in perfect condition in a timely fashion. I Highly recommend coffee Beanery 10/10 Service

Ordered a very expensive coffee machine which was in stock on their website, they rang to confirm payment with my credit card and all was good. When I didn't receive my machine in the expected time frame, I made a call to Coffee Beanery who told me "some how the coffee machine 20 foot container was off loaded in Singapore, so there was going to be a delay of another 6-8 weeks, before it arrives in Australia". Hmmm... After reading a lot of reviews about this guy and how hard it was to receive a refund, I went straight to the credit card provider to start the process of getting my money back. What an unpleasant and long experience this was!

I sent an email to CONFIRM stock, and was told yes items are in stock. Four days later I hadn't heard anything, not even that there was a delay, so asked if they had shipped items. I was told they're waiting on stock arrival! I called them and all I got was excuses as to why it's not their fault. In the end, very simply, they didn't check they just told me they had the goods in stock - which was the whole point of my confirmation email. If they told me they couldn't confirm until the next day, I would have went elsewhere.
I lost a whole week waiting for them, could have purchased elsewhere that actually has stock when they say they do.

If you are health conscious like me, getting one of those machines will surely allow you to make your coffee at home, customized at your choice. This way you can save yourself so many calories and bucks. And don’t search too far. Got mine from the Coffee Beanery machine and the service is amazing.
