I have had email correspondence regarding the above refund from the director of this company since the 30th of August to date. The contents of his emails are full of baloney and petty excuses. I'm now short of £3350 of my hard earned money, Would you kindly have the decency and integrity to process this refund without any further delay.

UPDATE - No car, no response and no refund Invoice for #CP-9601

I am extremely disappointed by the lack of communication after an unavoidable engine fault made it so I was not able to hire the car for the 24th. Classic Parade reached out via email on the night of the 23rd and has been virtually inaccessible since. I have tried emailing and texting him with no response. Here is the email below:

Good evening Mostafa,

Sorry to bother you at this time. We are having a problem at the moment. Our Mercedes Benz SL 63 AMG has just come back from the current client with drivetrain malfunction. We do not know the exact fault with the car and we are unable to have the vehicle ready for the day of your booking.

I understand this is bad news, however your safety is of the highest priority. There are a couple of things we can do:

• We can contact third party hire companies to find out if they have a Benz SL 63 AMG or similar available
• Reschedule to another convenient time for you
• Process a refund straight away

We are very sorry for this inconvenience, and we are focused on resolving this matter as soon as possible. Please kindly inform me of how you would like to proceed, and I shall get on to it straight away

Sorry again for the inconvenience.

Classic Parade - No return of funds (failed hire or security deposit)

I booked to hire a Porsche Boxster for 24 hours on the 16th September 2023 to be collected at Glasgow Airport. Despite formalising the booking (paying the £300 hire plus £5,000 deposit) less than 24 hours in advance Classic Parade took the booking.
Having not heard anything by 10am the next morning, due to collect at 12noon, I called Classic Parade and got through to a lady who advised she provided an answering service and would provide my details to the team who would be in touch. I also sent an email and a “contact us” form through the web. Classic Parade did get back to me and apologised that due to the late booking they were unable to source a car but I could either : -
1. Wait to see if they could use other suppliers to source the car;
2. Change the date of the booking; or,
3. Receive a full immediate refund.
As I was at the airport and needed a car within a couple of hours I opted for a full immediate refund and hired a car from the airport. Having opted for a full refund I then received an email asking for my bank details and again Classic Parade apologised for the inconvenience caused. I sent over my bank details. By the end of the following week and several unanswered emails later I got a response from Classic Parade on the 26th September apologising for not returning funds and advised they were processing the refund and would be returned to me within 24 hours.
24 hours later still no refund.
Following more chase emails, I eventually got a response from Classic Parade on the 4th October, again apologising for the issue, advising they were having some “teething internal issues” and my refund would be processed by 15th October.
Monday 16th October still no refund. Again, I chased Classic Parade and received a response advising the refund would be processed that week.
Now 23rd October, no response over the weekend I have been waiting for £5,300 to be returned since 16th September. I am hoping this is a minor cashflow/systems problem and not something more sinister. I have attempted to be accommodating but on 4 occasions now I have been promised a refund which has not materialised, and I have given Classic Parade every chance to resolve.

Tried to give Benefit of Doubt but......

I have resisted writing this review as I always like to give companies the benefit of the doubt.
Booked a AMG GT-R Black Series for a specific event on 2nd September. Was slightly uncomfortable that I couldn’t pay by Credit card but looked at the reviews and decided that the issues that other reviewers had highlighted were exceptions. Booking confirmed & £2,650 transferred.
I emailed on the afternoon of 1st September to confirm all was on track for the booking & received a confirmation that it was.
At 8:07pm I received an email stating that the car had just displayed an engine management light and giving me the following options:
• We can contact third party hire companies to find out if they have a Benz AMG GTR Black Series or similar available.
• Reschedule to another convenient time for you.
• Process a refund straight away.
Disappointing but on high end cars things like this can sometimes happen.
As the car had been booked for a specific event, I requested a refund and provided the necessary bank details.
Over the course of 16 emails between 2nd September and today (29th September) I have been promised that the refund has been processed on no less than 3 occasions and been told that it will appear in my bank account in 48 hours, by the end of the week & 24 hours.
As of writing this review (29/9/2023) I have yet to receive the promised refund.

UPDATE following Classic Parade reply - I have sent an email at 20:18 on Thu 26th Oct 2023 expressing my surprise that they cannot find me on their system & giving them the necessary reference numbers to find the booking (The same reference number that has been on all 17 emails received from them since 25th August) - I will update further if/when I get a response

Update following Classic Supercar standard response to all negative reviews posted on 10/03/2025.

Same old story - unable to find my details even tho they have my booking reference and plenty of emails about their not returning my deposit.
Successfully applied for CCJ against the owner.
Debt collection agencies are currently looking to track him down however the address he has listed in companies house never seems to be occupied.

If you are sincere in wanting to resolve this then I will give 1 last chance before I publish the details of the CCJ and all emails to prove that you are insincere in your boilerplate response to all negative reviews

This is my second review….

This is my second review….

I enquired about one of the cars, offered by this company, before I paid the deposit and rate, I saw some bad reviews, so I asked for pics and videos, via email and phone 6 times, I waited a good week and a half, and I left a review and suddenly they decided to contact me, 7 days later when I left a review… he promised I will get pics and videos on Monday, it’s now Wednesday, he asked me to take down my review, so I did, but this company is a shambles, do not use, unprofessional and cannot even produce the bare minimum… “reply time with an average of 60 seconds” what a lie!!!

STAY AWAY

Initially there were issues with supply and refund. But this has now been resolved with sincere apologies and good will gestures of a complimentary car hire - much appreciated!

*UPDATE BELOW*
We have not had a good experience at all with this company. We booked a white convertible Aston Martin for our wedding day on the 3rd August. At 4pm on the 2nd of August we recieved an email from a team member to say there was an issue with the car we had booked and he was trying to find a replacement for us but would refund our money if he was unable to provide an alternative.

This caused a huge amount of stress the night before our wedding as having a nice car to drive on our wedding day was something we had both really wanted. Eventually the team member informed us he would be unable to provide an alternative and we asked him to refund us. This meant we had no wedding car and had to join our guests on the wedding transport we had booked for them.

It is now the 11th of August and we do not have our money back and have not heard from the team member since. This is extremely concerning for us as we paid a large deposit for the car we had booked. We have tried calling various phone numbers displayed on the website and on the emails from the team member and all give an automated message before dosconnecting or go straight to voicemail. We would very much appreciate someone from Classic Parade getting in touch with us as soon as possible to resolve this issue.

*UPDATE*
Following the publication of this review the team member from Classic Parade got back in touch with us with his deep and sincere apology for the delay. Our refund was issued almost immediately and the team member offered us complimentary use of a car in future as a goodwill gesture. We are really pleased this has been resolved and satisfied with the apology we have recieved from the company.
