Buyer be ware

Purchased a Kettle and toaster eight months ago. Followed a care instructions and to be honest hardly used toaster. After six months corrosion appeared on both items. Claimed under warranty and advised tough luck, your not covered. Apparently expensive good should deteriate and corroded within six months and that's normal wear and tear. Tried to discuss with Breville not interested. Just sent link to buy new goods. Who would buy again ???

Breville nightmare

Review:
I am very disappointed with my experience with Breville customer service.

A component in my appliance failed during normal use. I contacted Breville and requested the replacement part needed to repair the unit.

Instead of providing a clear solution, I received a generic response with a long legal disclaimer stating that Breville does not recommend consumers repairing their own appliances and that they are not responsible if someone attempts to do so.

This response did not address the real issue: a defective component in a product that should reasonably last longer.

As a consumer in Canada, products are expected to be durable and fit for normal use for a reasonable period of time. I simply asked Breville to provide the replacement part so the appliance could function properly again.

Unfortunately the response I received felt more like a legal warning than genuine customer support.

I hope Breville improves how they handle legitimate customer issues and stands behind the quality of their products.

First time reaching out to Breville…

First time reaching out to Breville Customer Support team and I spoke to an agent named Boitumelo. She was so helpful and I've experienced a positive interaction. The issue has yet to be resolved however love her attitude and willingness to assist me regarding a quality issue I am experiencing with a product and creating a case and emailing me the next steps. Her customer service and communication skills are exceptional.

I purchased the Oracle Dual Boiler

I purchased the Oracle Dual Boiler. After 2.5 months it has failed. It reboots about every minute. I tried customer support form on their website. It creates errors and does not log the support request. The online chat function is offline when it is the right time of day. I waited for nearly 15 minutes on the phone and got through to a helpful person who requested I emailed a video. So now I must make a video and edit to be smaller enough to go via email.

Barista Touch - Not worth the hassle

Truly one of the must frustrating customer experiences I have been apart of. Three years ago I purchased the Barista Touch from Breville. That machine, after normal use, is now completely unusable because the sensor for the milk frother is now faulty - which results in the entire machine being unable to be used (even for coffee that does not require milk). Breville's solution was that I had to take it to a 3rd party repair place and pay for its repair. They could not tell me the timeframe of the repair or how much I would be out of this pocket. They were gaslighting me on the phone, implying that other people had their machines for decades with no issues, and they even changed the explanation of the error code four different times on the call. Why should I be out of pocket to fix a faulty machine after only three years, especially because I paid over $1400 for it. There was no resolution, no help, and they said they couldn't talk through options with me because they didn't know how other departments of Breville operate. So, my review is very simple - NO Breville machine is worth the money they are charging. Look at other brands and stay away from Breville customer support.

Breville 2 slot toaster

I bought a Breville 2 slot toaster in June 2024. My friend had a Breville an it worked wonderfully well, particularly for crumpets. From the time it arrived I was disappointed in the performance but persevered as it wasn’t really faulty, just not as good as I’d expected. Well, today, it stopped working altogether. I checked the instructions and thought that I had a 2 year warranty, so I rang Breville. Spoke to a lovely customer service rep - Precious. It turns out that the warranty for a full refund was for 12 months but I was offered 40% off a new toaster. That worked out at approximately $137!! I said that I would just go to Kmart and buy one there. I said that Breville would be getting a horrible review, not Precious, but Breville because I’d paid a lot for the toaster and I would expect it to last longer than 17 months. As I was looking up how to contact the company CEO, I received a phone call from Precious, who, having talking to her manager, was calling to say that they would send me a replacement toaster. I was very grateful but I was also thinking “that’s as it should be” because when you pay a lot for kitchen equipment you do expect a certain standard. But thank you to Precious - I very much appreciate your assistance.

Customer service was incredible

Customer service was incredible. Vuyo was exceptional. I could not have been more happy with the professionalism and his willingness to go the extra mile to find the products i was looking for.

It's been nearly two months and still no resolution!

My Oracle Coffee machine started to have overheating issues before turning 2 years old and it stops grinding every now and then. After 2 x visits to the designated repair shop, it is still doing it and It's funny how the repair person tried to convince me that there're no issues because " I put my hand on it and I don't think it's hot" when I expected a professional assessment done. He went quiet when I asked him what was the temperature measured so clearly he hasn't done it. This is still ongoing so I'll be broadcasting my experience regularly here so others don't have to deal with the horrible service in the future.

A trusted company

I bought a rice cooker from Breville a year ago. Now it stopped working. I called Breville about the issue. After providing the proof of purchase, Breville replaces the product for me without hesitation and the warranty carries on.
I have used Breville products in the last 15 years and have been very happy with it.

We had a Breville Sear & Press Grill…

We had a Breville Sear & Press Grill for about a year, using it often, when the heating element started to overheat. No matter the setting, food would burn. Customer service was slow, but they eventually sent us out a brand-new unit. Straight out of the box, the unit makes a grinding noise every time it's opened or closed, sounding similar to a school's guillotine paper cutter. Very grating on the nerves in the early a.m. of waffle making. Customer service says to keep using and it will eventually wear away. I've found that there is a near nonexistent line between feeling a patsy and being unreasonable with my demands. My other unit was fantastic until it wasn't.

Rubbish service from Breville

Bought an aquaport tap after a kitchen renovation
Having had one fir 15 plys years was just updating. Plumber put it in..it dud not turn off, kept running for a few seconds. Plumber thought cartridge was faulty. Came back to take tap out..another bill. Bunnings refunded the $400 tap cost and said to contact Breville re plumbing costs. I sent email, got a reply to reply with info..it bounced back saying inbox is not monitored. After 9 emails giving me a number of different names and told to email reply to same address…I phoned. After a 20 plus minute wait, was told to send invoice in for plumber. Eventually sent a letter with all info. Then got yet another email from yet another person. Wanting the invoice.rang today and was told they dont pay plumbers bills???? Why have I wasted my time sending useless emails and post to be told they dont pay plumbers bills? How do you know the tap is faulty unless its plumbed in..rubbish service. Why tell me to send in invoice if they are not paying it.
Don't buy their products. They have become rubbish

Outstanding quality and durability - worth every penny

I've been using my Breville sandwich press and barista coffee maker for over 5 years now, and both are still performing like new. While Breville isn't the cheapest option on the market, the quality has been absolutely fantastic and justifies the price point.

What really stands out is the build quality and durability - these appliances have handled daily use without any issues. The design and styling are also excellent, with a sleek look that fits well in any modern kitchen.

After 5+ years of reliable performance, I can confidently say Breville delivers on both function and form. Highly recommended for anyone looking for appliances that will last. So I recently just purchased another sandwich maker for my son

BREVILLE IRONS

REVILLE IRONS - Terrible product and even worse…
★☆☆☆☆ Terrible product and even worse customer service – AVOID Breville!

Bought a Breville iron thinking I was investing in a reliable brand – big mistake. After just 5 months of light use, water started leaking straight out of the bottom of the iron, making it completely unusable. Not only is this unacceptable for a supposedly quality product, but it’s also a safety hazard.

Tried to contact Breville for a replacement and was met with zero help and terrible customer service. They flat-out refused to provide a replacement or even acknowledge the issue. It’s clear they don’t stand behind their products or care about their customers once they’ve taken your money.

Absolutely disappointed – I’ll never buy from Breville again and will warn others to stay far away. Save your money and choose a brand that actually supports its customers when things go wrong

Cons far outweight the pros

Breville makes great products—when they work. These are pricey items but their reliability is just awful and their customer service is worthless. They produce an immediate case number when you reach out to them but you never hear from them again. And their Chat option is always offline. Very sad.

Check Christmas Return Policy

Hi,

I was excited today to find the Breville Ice Cream machine on sale. I am wanting to buy this as a gift for Christmas. I was told that the return policy has not and will not be amended for Christmas so the standard return of 30 days will apply.

Nobody wants to be having to rush to return an item over the Christmas break.

There are 2 other companies offering return till the 31st January. It looks like I will be using them.

Disappointed 😔

Bought the Precision Thermal Brewer…

Bought the Precision Thermal Brewer about 6 weeks ago. Electronic display started to malfunction after one month of use. Apart from this fault, it's a great product and value for money, even though not cheap! I've been working through the return process with Breville, it's not easy, but not the worst. Registering a product return through the website didn't work because the retailer drop down list didn't include the retailer I used. Calling customer service and the resulting emails was long and drawn out, having communications with several different staff, being asked for a product serial number when the product doesnt actually have one! When I had returned the product via tracked mail under a return authority issued by Breville, I didn't receive a response or a new product, despite a promise for an instant replacement! When I followed up, I was told I should have called them to advise that they had received the faulty item. Now awaiting a new product. The customer service is substandard, but clearly is not intentionally so, as is the case with some other manufacturers of white and brown goods that don't want to own their faulty product issues!
