It took a year to get this refund for a returned product
Keeping it as short as possible... I ordered two products both went on backorder, changes in my situation made both products no longer needed so I cancelled one for under $200 before it shipped and was refunded. I rejected the other at the (revised name) Fedex office, it was confirmed as returned to the supplier. Every time I contacted them I got someone different who responds with "the refund was already done" but it is always the under $200 refund they find not the one for the second item. I've spent the last year trying to get a refund for the $750 for the second item and, despite the fact that they confirmed the return, (revised this>>>) they still didn't refund the money until 1 year and 17 days later. I raised my review rating from 2 to 3 because the money was finally refunded with much thanks to Jeff of Bongo International (yes I had the correct "reviewed" company although I did originally say the wrong "shipping" company in my review).

Suddenly Locked Account After Paid For Shipping & Duties
In past i helped my friend and tell him to use this mail forwarding and did great, but just today, i get really dissapointed.
I've got many item to my mailbox and paid the shipping and the duties one by one before christmas, but now when i check my account, it said "Invalid login" and they say my account has been locked permanently and i must contact merchant for returning the item ! WTH !
This is ruined all my plan, but so be it. One more thing, i forgot to ask in phone, i ask about refund confirmation, please sent the refund confirmation and invoice, because i can't get it, since my account has been locked.
This is related to my bank, for refunding my shipping and duties.

Service was good and with no surprises
My order was delivered safe, in time and under conditions we agreed. I did not request any additional services (e.g. additional pack, check of sellers goods etc), so I paid only delivery costs (aprx same how it had been calculated at the moment of coming to site) and custom duties. The only thing was a little problematic that to my location (Val Gardena, Italy ) delivery requests additional payments, so I delivered item to my friends to Munich and it did not cost any additional money to me.

Arrogant Service
I used bongo service to purchase items cheap [Black friday] in US. All went good till 4th DEC. My free storage is about to end in 6th DEC, so i planned to ship the items back to my home. For that i checked the estimated amount after checking that i was shocked they are charging huge for "DDP" mode of delivery. For example Duty in my country for 1000$ PC components is 20% (i.e) 200$ but bongo charged more than 300$ for duty alone. I already affected severely by natural calamity in my region (Chennai) so i can't afford that amount and at the same time if i kept the packages in bongo they will charge 5$ per day. So i made a shipout request to my SHIPITO.com account. During Credit card payment it failed because of network failure in my region, due to flood we don't have mobile network and internet till 4th DEC [Proof given in end]. After DEC 4th 2 of my Credit cards issuers can’t send OTP [One Time Password]. Only one card issuer can able to send the OTP to authenticate the transaction, so I used it and it got succeeded. And the same problem occurred to my friends who are using bongo service and their living belongings also got affected severely, so they asked my help on this. And my friends requested bongo to ship their respective items to my shipito.com address. During payment their card issuers can’t able to send OTP so they used my card. After completing payment and rest of the procedures bongo locked our account without any pre-intimation and explanation stating “Fraudulent activity”. I asked bongo regarding this and waited for mail responses and there is no such kind of response, so I called them directly and explained all such things and even I was ready to provide all the identity proof with local notary attestation. But they are adamant and no good response from their end asking me to return the items by contacting the merchant and also my account won’t be unlocked. The single line is repeated for each and every kind of questions. I wasted 3 weeks by using bongo service. It is a worst nightmare. Now my 1500$ products are locked in bongo.

Finally I learnt a lesson Shipito.com is the best. Bongo is worst in customer service and they are cheaters. Now I and my friends are seeking for a solution to get the items worth more than 2500$ which is in our bongo account.

Horrible Service!!! do not use
Just a joke. no communication what so ever to say my product arrived, then when I checked the price to send it was ridiculous $150 for a small box which I got other quotes from international shipping companies as around 50-90 max! Then without even as much as a last email warning my package was gone from my inventory no warning what so ever!! so they never told me it had arrived, then never told me it was going to be taken. Con artists and no one should use them what so ever.

Waste of time and money
I needed to get a laptop battery to medical school in Grenada in a rush and BongoUS looked like the solution. The cost was high but it would be quick. I checked their list of prohibited items and there was no problem. After Fedexing the battery to them overnight for $30 they told me they don't ship batteries of any kind. I asked why this wasn't on their website before I spent the money and they had no answer. They claim it is a Fedex policy however Fedex is the company that delivered it by air to them overnight. Now I have to pay to have it returned and then pay Fedex again to deliver it direct to Grenada. Bongo does ship laptops with batteries and Bongo is owned by Fedex.
BongoUS replied that ICAO regulations forbid Lithium Ion batteries on passenger flights (cargo is OK) which is true. THEY SHOULD INDICATE THIS ON THEIR LIST OF PROHIBITED ITEMS before people spend time and money shipping to them. A new order was made and FEDEX is now transporting the battery to Grenada (I guess there is a work-around), Bongo should reimburse me for shipping.

Ridiculous Shipping Costs - No Help From Customer Service - Now I see them as FRAUD
Well, I got my package and guess what, it was not a 12" x 12" x 9.5" box as they claimed. It was a 9" x 6" x 5" box! So if we use their formula, they should have charged me for 2lbs, not 10lbs of weight! I wonder how they will try to spin this. Plus there was no paperwork to indicate how much customs charged me, so I have no idea what I was actually charged by either customs or by whatever shipping company they used. So their little response was of very little comfort to me when they lied about the size of the box! Lets see if they "pass that on'' to customer service! Cause if they are really interested, I have pictures of the box! And who re-packed it. Corey O.
I will never use them again. They charged me for 10 pounds of weight for 4 knit hats. They come up with a formula that they use to justify charging obscene amounts for shipping. They charged $5 for a box fee, $67.35 for the shipping, $7.07 for a fuel surcharge, $4.26 for loss & damage and then on top of that, $33.80 for duty & tax. So my 4 knit hats that cost me $100 are costing me $117.48 to ship. The prior reviewer was right when they said it was a rip off. I will close my account as soon as I get my shipment. DON"T DO IT. Whatever it is, it will cost you a fortune to ship!
I see BONGO "Replied" to my review. Too bad they weren't interested when I phoned them BEFORE I posted this review. They seem to have an answer for EVERYTHING when they get a bad review, but when you call "customer service" they have absolutely nothing to say to you. Don't be fooled by their "answers", every review I have read on multiple other sites say they same thing. Don't use this company if you want to hold on to your hard earned money!

Don´t use - it´s a rip off
I registered with Bongo as their calculator indicated the best shipment price. I ordered my items (a front fender for a car and some bushings). They wanted to charge 480 USD for the shipment. I just told them to scrap the items and bought them once again. Had them shipped for 180 USD with another service. As someone who frequently buys car parts in the US, I know the cost for shipping goods overseas - this was just an outrageous try to rip me off. Can not recommend the service at all - look for someone else before you use Bongo. (I can already see Bongo´s ´copy-paste´ feedback here: "Dimensional weight is found by measuring the length, width, and height in inches and then multiplying those together and dividing that value by 139. Example: A box that is 10" x 5" x 15" would be measured as follows: 10x5x15= 750 / 139 = 5.4 dimensional pounds. ... *blah blah blah*...)

Worst Service Ever
After 2 weeks of delay, several emails unanswered I receive my order but incomplete. I call them and they are blaming the other company for not sending the whole order, then I called Spirit to ask them about my order and they said they cant see whats going on because it was an internacional order and BongoUS are responsible for that.
I bought an insurance with my order but there is no one who can say something about the status on my order or how can I get a refund or anything I can do for the other thing that didnt arrive.
If you are an international buyer please search for some other options, they cant be the only ones in the market and their prices are extremely high. I will never used their service again.

Shipping price rip off
This was the first time I've used this service, the parts provider I wanted to purchase from didn't offer shipping to Australia.
I chose to ship a cheap plastic clip worth only 8 dollars, this part isn't available here but thought if they do want to rip me off with the freight charge I could just abandon the shipment with little financial loss.
The provider shipped promptly to my Bongo US address and Bongo advised me as soon as the parcel arrived.
When I logged on to forward the part to Australia I was notified the cost would be $57USD.
The fact that the parcel is the size of a cigarette box and weighs a few ounces, this price just blew me away.
As a car restorer I ship parts from the U.S regularly so I know the cost, this was just outrageous, therefore would never use this service again.

Good service but overpriced
The reason I am giving this company 3 stars:
Easy to navigate website, several warehouse locations (other companies will just ship from USA), ability to talk to a real person in case there`s a problem. Box was well packed and it arrived pretty fast, in about a week after I ordered to have my items shipped from Belgium to United States. And it actually arrived, which is most important :)
The reason I am not giving 5 stars: the price. I was charged for 2 boxes, even though only one box was shipped to me. The items I ordered were in two boxes but I don`t think that should make a difference as long as Bongo only shipped me 1 box.
Also, the box was weighing 4.5 kg. Which means, even with fuel surcharge (whatever that means) and protection and the box cost, it should still have been close to 100$. Still it was almost 130$. (I got 5$ discount and paid 123, next time the same shipment will cost me 130$). The invoice said 100$ was the shipping cost.
I often order groceries from Belgium and pay 37 euros for a box up to 25 kg regardless the size. Also, I have myself shipped items from Belgium to United States and have paid 31 euros for a 5 kg box (box was huge and half empty but they did not charge me according to its dimensions). I understand Bongo has to make money in exchange for its service and I would be happy to pay 2x the shipping cost. But I paid about 3.5x times of what I have paid in the past for the same weight and I think it`s a little too much. Also, it would be nice if they offered a slower service (BPost takes up to 2 weeks but is much cheaper) so the customers would have a choice.
Overall, I am satisfied about the service, except for the unexpectedly high price. In the future I would use it during sales period so the cost of the merchandise offsets the cost of shipping. If it was a bit cheaper, I would use it more often, obviously, but now that I know 5 kg will cost me 130+$, I`ll be more cautious about what I buy and how often.

Bongo is a waste of your money...
Hi,
I have been a bongo customer since February 2010. At the bigining they offered great services, then the number of clientes increased and they started to expand the business, then the qualiity of services rendered started to decreased exponentialy. They have increased the volumetric weight of my shipments several times in order to overcharge me so other scam methods...
In february this year I requested them to ship a 2015 model TV which was worth over 2000 USD. I received a useless TV with a broken screen. They shipped the TV with no FRAGILE labels on it nor any sort of protection (Fedex tracking number: 780201838585).
On March 4th reported what happened and their fisrt response was like we are not paying you (even though the merchandise was covered under Bongo damage insurance). After exchanging several emails they sent me a note stating that my claim was aproved and the claim amount to be paid was $2430.27 USD. They also stated that the payment would be made via check and it could take 45 days to be processed (it was back in March).
I have been chasing them since then and now they do not even bother to reply to my emails anymore.
If you are trying to do business with these guys, PLEASE DON"T... Don't waste your Money and time with them like I did .. They are not trustworthy

Disaster
Done a lot of shopping from the US in the recent years, mainly automotive spare parts, never been a problem, everything always went smooth. Now suddenly I get redirected to Bongo as soon as I try to place an order from anyone of the major online shops. This time my first try ended with Bongo after 10 Days sent me a mail stating that my order was cancelled, claiming that the mechant never recieved the order, although I got a confirmation from Bongo. No try to work this out, just recommending me to place a new order. So I tried another supplier this time, again got a confirmation from Bongo, this time with the suprise that the shipping cost to Europé for an item the size of two cigarette packs would be like 160 dollars which is more than I earlier been paying for overnight deliviery with FedEx. I tried to track the order at the merchants website and couldn't find it, the item was still in my shopping basket. Due to my earlier experience I mailed Bongo about this and got a prompt answer that Everything was in order. Time Went by, nothing happend, som i mailed another couple of times and got standard answers that made me feel that they didn't really checkout my specific order. Finally after another 10 Days a new mail stating that the order was cancelled. This is beginning to feel hopeless because what has been so simple for a couple of years now suddenly became a nightmare.

Buyer Beware . Too many hidden costs.
Bought cheap make up from us site and I wanted it forwarded to Ireland . It the tools section the shipping came to about 28 $ . The make up cost me 25$ inc shipping to Bongo. When I opened the invoice the wanted to charge me 63$ to send it to me.less than a pound in weight. I'd hate to imagine what something big would cost.
That would be the 20$ make up costing nearly 90$ .
I am trying to get it sent back to the sender but that might cost me as much as they charge to return it. I just have to accept my loss . I hope you enjoy my make up .
Please stay away from this company . Everyone can't be wrong . I read the reviews but chose to ignore them thinking that I would be different .

Someone @bongo stole an new iPhone from one my shipments and in anotherone lost they lost a huge JBL Professional speaker. I haven't used them for couple of years now. When I tried to talk to them about missing stuff, both times they did not want to do anything about it.
This month I've used them two times for cheap stuff. I'll see how this will go on before I can trust them again.
