Bongo or Bogus?

Bogus International did not deliver all items ordered and paid.
Bogus had no understanding for documentation sendt regarding missing items.


Luckly the fraud department at Mastercard is more understanding:

So far I'm very worried - Update: things got worse DO NOT USE THIS FIRM

I bought some boots online not realising that the shipping from the US would double the cost. I contacted BONGO immediately and asked them to cancel. They replied about 4pm the following day that they would contact the vendor to cancel. Now I've had a load of emails confirming shipment! I don't want the boots and said so immediately, so I'm not impressed with the service. I'm sure that if they arrive and I return them, BONGO and the vendor (Overstock) will try to charge me for the postage but that's very unfair in this case - I notified them in plenty of time that the order was cancelled and they've ignored me!
Update: Overstock authorised a refund since the request had been mishandled by Bongo. I got an email from Julisa at Bongo on 4th April saying I'd have my refund in 3-5 working days. Guess what, still no sign of it. I'm at the end of my tether and my monthly budget thanks to this firm not returning my £178. Take this warning - DO NO USE - if there are any issues, they will not look after you.

Incredibly fast service, always reliable

I've had items shipped through BongoUS a number of times and the service is always fast and reliable. I like that they post a photo of the item once it's been received by their warehouse because it gives me peace of mind that the item I'm about to pay shipping for is indeed the item I ordered. Madly expensive service

Almost 900$ for shipping of 97Lbs to Europe! Much more than cargo cost. Robbers? Why there is no recommendation to check costs before ship to Bongo and before you give US address? Will never use this extremely expensive and crazy shipping service. It was a big mistake.

Eh alright

Took me about 2 weeks for my items to get picked up as a lot of miscommunication went on, This was during the march 2016 period so for anyone that would like things picked up, These are the guys to go to.

Scam artists.

I paid a fortune to bongo.It was extremely hard to get through to them.I had my parcel delivered this week and the box is sunk in at the side and it's wet through and the lamp shade inside is totally crushed. They simply don't want to know and are refusing to replace it.

Thank you for contacting us. I am sorry to hear that your items arrived damaged. When customers activate items for shipment, Lost and Damaged Protection is selected by default. While this protection is not required, Bongo encourages all customers to utilize the service. This is due to the nature of international shipping, items generally must travel long distances and can have a larger risk of damage due to this. We strive to offer the protection at an economical cost (just 2% of the order value) to allow more people to take advantage of the offer.

In terms of making contact with our service team, I show you successfully sent in multiple service tickets (1/27/2016, 03/09/2016, 03/14/2016, and two on 03/16/2016) all with multiple replies from you and our service team. You have also called and successfully spoke with our service team and you have been in direct contact, by email, with our claims department.

The sole reason we cannot cover the claim is due to you opting out of the coverage. Example: If a person broke their sell phone, without insurance on that phone, their carrier would not cover the cost to replace the phone.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact our service again, if you have any further questions.

Be warned. Bongo is the worst fright forward for international buys want to buy in the USA

I had 2 sets 2 different package sent to bongo
none of the package had an invoice with it.
First package bongo value it as $2126
Second package they value it as $4700
How can they value the same items in each package with 2 different value price.
both my package only values $495

After emailing an invoice I receive from the shipper to bongo stating a lower price.
Bongo intern reply that they will not change the item value price.

The con they use are the higher the item price the more I will have to pay bongo to pay import duty on my behalf,
I also read that bongo use this trick to delay order processing so they can auction off my items after the allowed holding days has pass

Bongo terms states if there is no invoice delivered with a package they will list the item with online price and ad the option for the customer to lower it
This option was not on my ordered.

I advise any one wanting to forward stuff from USA to international stay away from bongo.
There is lots of better company out there wich is better.

Their shipping cost is very expensive.
They will bump up your item price so you will pay a lot of import tax duty.
They do not pack boxes properly. If you have delicate items they will surly get damage.
They only ship fedex economy.

Thank you for contacting us. Bongo International takes all feedback seriously. Bongo Intentional has policies in place about value changes. These policies are in place for our protection and yours. We are unable to knowingly price items low. You're items arrived without an invoice or packing slip. When this occurs, we use the fair market value of the item. For one of the items in your inventory, the market value is anywhere from $999 to $1199, we priced it at $900.00. Our customer service team has also explained that we would gladly update the price if you can provide an invoice with the sellers name and address included. At this time, the only invoice we have received is a blank invoice with pricing hundreds of dollars below the values you can find on Veydra.com. Once you include an invoice with the sellers information, we will happily change the value for you.

Our storage policy allows for 21 days of free storage, from day 22 to 30, a $5 dollar per day charge applies. On day 30, the items are deemed abandoned automatically. This is not done for any reason other than storage restraints. And this information is available in the terms and conditions that you must agree to in order to open an account with Bongo International. It is never our goal to donate or sell abandoned items, as it actually costs us quite a bit to do so, we prefer our customers ship their items instead.

Please send a complete invoice to our service team and we will gladly update the pricing for you.

scam???

Very strange service.Very similar to the scam.They locked my account.And silence.Very difficult to contact them .
After my call they said , to return the parcel .How????
They took my money for shipping.They took away my item.

They are crooks .Item from amazon.They have a defined procedure for the return of funds .And bongous know that I can not make refund without item.So..Dear bongous,you can see the price on this item on amazon.And you must return that value to my card(you have my cards details).+ shipping costs.Then you can leave this item yourself .

BE AWARE !! Read my review, I wish I had seen these reviews before ship my goods to Bongo

I believe that what they do is ILLEGAL and I will ask to my lawyer in Miami about the possibility to take this matter to the Court.
Whitout even spend time to say how long and how many emails and phone calls I had to make to get some items value rectified, I got charge $466 for 4 dogs bowls, 1 small ice bucket, 4 piece of foam ( used to fill up the gap between two twin beds when you make them into a king)!!!!! . Total weight 1.7 pounds!!! When I call to understand how this was possible,I was told that I was charged on what they call the "dimensional weigh" which is the same type of rate that also Fedex apply on international shipping, fine.......
The problem is that Bongo should be a freight forward company, they CONSOLIDATE the different boxes they receive on your behalf so you can" SAVE MONEY" and this is where the fraude is laying. Even if they consolitate your items in ONE single box, they still CHARGE YOU the dimensional weight of ALL the boxes they've received on your behalf!!!!! In my case they've collected 4 boxes of small items which had cost me less than $100 and that they all togheter weight 1.7 pounds, they've consolidated these items in ONE SINGLE BOX and still charge me on the dimensional weight of the 4 DIFFERENT BOXES they've received! In this way you pay the so called DIMENSIONAL WEIGHT fee on RECEIVED BOXES NOT on what they actually SHIP TO YOU!!! I've checked their entire web site and there is no where were they say that this is how they operate, OPPOSITE, they make you believe that this consolidation matter will make you SAVE MONEY. After this FRAUDE I've shipped few boxes to Laparkan, which is a serious freight forward company which consolidate your merchandise, they've put all the different items in one box and shipped it to me making me pay for ,obviously, the one single box they've shipped.

We make every effort to pass on savings to our customers. Bongo International bills based on the incoming actual weight or dimensional weight, whichever is larger. Dimensional weight is determined (commonly referred to as volumetric weight) by the following formula: Length x Width x Height / 139 (the industry standard). Our consolidation service involves more than just combining items into 1 box. Shipping 1 20 lbs. box, is generally a lot more affordable then 2 10 lbs. boxes. Shipping the 4 boxes in your inventory individually would result in much higher shipping rates then shipping them together, where we would repackage (if we can) but more importantly, we would tell FedEx that it is a 87.09 lbs. shipment rather than 4 smaller shipments.

I am happy to tell you that our warehouse team did reweigh the items in your inventory and were able to locate a discrepancy. The total cost of shipping is now lower than last night. Even with the updated dimensions, it is still much cheaper to ship the items together verses individual. By using our shipping calculator (https://secure.bongous.com/shipping-rates, and entering the dimensions and weight available in your account), the total cost individually to ship your items is $462.61.

Lack of feedback

I recently placed an order with Bongo personal shopper which incidentally if not the slickest interface, It is not easy to establish if the order has been placed or if it's in some form of limbo. I could not find an email address, it is always a concern when companies make it difficult for customers to communicate with them, it may be a cost saving measure or to force customers to use an expensive phone line customer service. Over my initial experience is not good, I do hope I am incorrect but I do believe some work needs to be done on the interface to make it more user friendly.

Bongo responded promptly to my review and should be commended for that, however I have not at any stage in the past had any contact from Bongo in relation to my order, it is one thing outlining your process it is another to deliver on that process in this case your process has failed which has resulted in me using another service. In relation to contact why make it difficult to contact by email the vast majority of e commerce business use a simple "Contact us" at the top or bottom of every page, is it really crucial in this day and age to have to go through a series of unnecessary steps just to contact the vendor the only contact that is readily available is the phone number which leads me to suspect that is how bongo want customers to communicate and given that the majority of customers are outside the US is this really a viable option.
I look forward to hearing from customer services in relation to my order which I would prefer to cancel based on my experience and the unnecessary delay this has caused which renders the items useless as I have had to source an alternative.
The service in principal is useful but fully dependent on customer experience and from what I can see through online sources unfortunately it is not good. Is it possible this service is guided by technical people and not customer service orientated people? I do hope that Bongo can take some of the constructive criticism and turn it into positive action and I wish them well in this endeavour.

On our main homepage, towards the bottom there is a link for Contact Us. This link provides our contact phone number and hours for our customer service line and merchant service line. In addition, you can open a support ticket through your account by clicking help, then typing "customer service" or "contact" which will give you the open to open a ticket.

In terms of our personal shopper service, once you submit the details of the item(s) you wish to order, our payments team verify the order details and payment. When that is complete, then our personal shopper places the order within 48 hours generally. Once the order is placed, an automated email is sent to the customer confirming the order was placed. At this point, the merchants generally take 5 business days to send the item(s) to us. When they arrive, an automated email is sent to the customer informing them that they can activate the items.

I will have a member of our customer service team reach out to you with details about your order.

Hard to Communicate with Bongous. Site not User Friendly

I opened an account with Bongo and then ordered the goods from Horse.Com. The goods were delivered to Bongo by UPS on the 4th December 2015 the ULS No was I have been trying to contact them. I have found the site not user friendly in lodging requests.
To date I have not received any response. Not a big purchase only $150 US. But won't use them again.

Your account was closed by our security team due to concerns of fraudulent activity. Unfortunately, I do not have access to specific reasons that caused those concerns. When accounts are closed, all pending orders are cancelled and a refund is processed to the original method of payment. Refunds can take 3 to 5 business days to process. Works great, flawless service so far though too expensive

I love the fact Bongo unwraps and groups my orders into a single box in order to lower shipping costs. Wrapping was always done very well. Taking pictures of the box, item and invoice is really helpful. All lights green on the service quality side.
However, shipping is so expensive that I sometimes go for international shipping on eBay even when I expect to buy several items in a short time frame; for goods under a certain value, combined shipping through Bongo ends up more expensive than independent shipping because of increased customs charges for bigger packages.
Also, charging fuel expenses when the price of oil is so low is just plain ripoff!

Bongo International appreciates all feedback, good or bad. We are glad to hear you enjoy our consolidation and packing services. Our warehouse teams take great pride in their work, so I know they will enjoy this feedback. Shipping rates are constantly changing and due to the amount of shipments we send daily, we can generally pass on substantial savings to our customers. Although many variables affect the cost to ship packages internationally.
In terms of the fuel surcharge, that cost is assigned by our parent company, FedEx. While the cost of oil has dropped, FedEx has reported an increase in residential packages and an increase in heavier items being shipped, both of these types of shipments increase the amount of fuel used. Fuel surcharges are recalculated on a monthly or quarterly basis, depending on the service line.

You're just the best

It's my first time shipping from the US and you just blew my mind with number of storage days. I had been wondering and wandering on services that put money first, disregarding international shoppers from lower economies until I accidentally found Bongo International. Just thank you. After payment, still the item is not shipped

I had made my payment for shipping the item on 9.1.2015. And till date my item has not shipped. I had contacted the customer service for 3 times till now and still no respond from them. I also asked them if they cannot shipped my item them refund $ to original payment method, but that also was in vain. No refund, no shipping, no contact from them. Seriously i didnot expect to get such a hilarious customer support from them. Another thing is that wheneve i call the customer support, i mention to them that i paid my shipment amount from a vcc as my debit card is accepting in their site. I also asked them that whether it is because of the vcc they had not shipped my item, the customer support executive told me that by using vcc their will be no problem.

He paid by mine own card. so how you can say that he did any fraud. If the merchant purchased was fraud you sud block account before shipping payment that I paid to you.

After paid shipment and my account got Invalid Login

I dont know what is happening. First time, I have requested shipment to my friend in US (due restricted item, could not ship out US), by VCC could use 1 time. And BongoUS need verify card, but I could not get it due VCC only use 1 time

After I send email for refund $ to VCC and I have request shipment again and I can't access my account.....

Unfortunately, without your order number or mailbox number, I am unable to research this concern. When payment verification is not completed, the system does cancel the order. The authorization we placed on the credit card is then cancelled so that the bank knows to release the funds. This can take 3 to 5 business days. In terms of not being able to access your account, please contact our customer service team so that they can look into that issue for you.

Dragging on for years

Have had an outstanding claim for a damaged delivery from 2012 - no response, and no email address to contact them where I can get a reponse.
