This is a fraudulent company

Here are my reasons:
1. The do not publicize that they offer NO other shipping options other than FedEx express, so you end up paying 5x the cost of the item
2. When you try to ship the item to a competitor in US, they close your account (without notification), claiming it's fraudulent
3. When you try to ask them what happened on FB, they push you off to another department, which send you an email, but when you respond to this email there is nothing - no attempt to resolve the problem.
4. When you finally establish that a return procedure for the item you purchased exists, it requires (this is funny), that the SHIPPER contact BONGO to arrange a return (this is with return form attached to the package).
5. They won't respond to any messages from you, apart from social media, as the account is "Fraudulent"
To conclude: never. ever. have I seen service SO bad.

P.S. Bongo subsequently did help me file a return rather professionally. But that's the only adequate interaction I got from the company.

Over Charged...Money eaters

Bongo now fedexcrossborder Please dont use their services they will charge you on the inbound packages and you don't know the actual size and weight of your package when it arrives in your US mailbox address however it is prepaid by the seller OR yourself.
I bought an item from ebay.com after receiving at bongo warehouse i paid shipping charges, handling fees, box charges, fuel surcharges and insurance for damage and loss protection to forwarding it to my Zambian address. they have calculate 9 lbs billable weight of my parcel according to volumateric basis that's fine, but when i got the shipment i did measurement and found i was overcharged because actual weight was less than 5lbs and volumateric calculation also coming to 6.2lbs which supposed to be consider 6lbs and ended paying for extra 3lbs. i try to contact the customer service and they told me "they can not refund the difference value and they will charge only according to inbound shipment" so we have to pay blindly even if they says your parcel was 50lbs instead of 6lbs at the time of receipt and you will have no option.

THEFT

Bongo participated in the theft of over 700 dollars from my bank account. I have never been a customer of Bongo International, yet they stole my rent money directly from my bank account using my check card number without my permission or knowledge. I am unemployed, so this is a theft from the poor with all its consequences (see Psalm 109). I suggest that bongo make this right by reversing the charges.

theft and fraud

scammers. I buy from private individuals. and ask what would have sent the invoices. so I know the real purchase price. for this my account was blocked. he also said that I have different shipping and billing. I think that the loss of money and purchase. but I will not leave it so. will be made to appeal to the police and the court.
bongo thieves and noobs!!!! any relationship to the official fedex, they are not related. The fedex said that they use their name for their dirty deeds.
Monday I arrive at the warehouse with the police
stupid, greedy!!!!!! damn you!!!!!!!

NEVER USE BONGO!!!

I order a lot of things on line and sometimes things don't go smoothly, but my experience with Bongo is BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH SHIPPING AND COSTUMER SERVICE.
I ordered a ring set from Overstock.ca on the 24th of June 2016. Firstly their shipping, duty and taxes costs, were much higher than anyone else, they never sent an invoice, then sent a tracking number on the 26th of June for my packed, I was able to track it for a couple of days to and from a number of check points then nothing! After a week of no movement, I emailed Bongo and got no reply, I then contacted Overstock and no reply, I contacted overstock again and got a lovely lady who tried to get through to bongo and was then told that they thought it was a test label and package so they disregarded it! She had to wait for them to see if they can go back and find it..........When they called her back a day later, they then said the package never existed!!! So Overstock rush them out another one and asked for a new tracking number......almost 2 more weeks and still no tracking number or movement! I finally called fedx locally to put me through to fedx cross boarder (Bongo) and they again have no idea that there is any package! they never even looked into the first one according to the person on the phone?????? I finally got a tracking number through the lovely lady at overstock that has been calling Bongo everyday but again no movement and no reply to me from Bongo. Today fedex tried to tell me again that there never was a package and it is Bongo's fault because they created a label for a package that does not exist????????? Yet usps has traces of the package until they got it? Still no package even though it's now been shipped twice! and NO COSTUMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT never mind service from Bongo.

- an update. Bongo replyed to this review saying someone would contact me shortly. That was 6 days ago! No one has contacted me from bongo. I I received my replacement order for the fist one that they claim never existed. FedEx who told me the first one didn't exist and that bongo made a mistake then phoned and left a message saying the one they dilivery was actually the original package and now claim the a replacement package was never sent ( IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL ) and I am just mistaken. Will never use bongo , or FedEx in the future.

crazy overcharged for shipping

i ordered a part for my cooler the part cost me 14.99 US and you charged me shipping $81.44 US which came out to $109.18 canadian, it was 2 small plugs that i think the weigh was .03 lbs. That is ridiculous , I will never use your shipping again and will never recommend it. Very disappointed that you would take advantage of people this way. i just called the company and they said there was a $30 surcharge because the delivery area was out of normal delivery area, we own a business right in town and have Fedex and UPS delivery everyday. Don't ever use Bongo International , they come on as an international delivery service but don't give you a price until the receive it at there depot then send you the charge. Had I known how much it would of cost me for a $14.99 plug i never would of ordered it to be delivered in Canada.

Yet to be resolved, despite paying express shipping fee

I had ordered furniture from Overstock, payed a ridiculously high amount for express shipping, to be delivered on the 29th of this month, and it is already the 23rd today!

How do I open my new store without furniture?
Am yet to receive any confirmation by Bongo. Very dissapointing!

Item sitting in their Florida location still!

Ordered something express early June. Was to be delivered express on the 22nd to me in Canada. It made it from Overstock to Florida where it was signed for by bongo and never forwarded on into Canada. No updates, nothing. Just says delivered .. to Florida. Not Canada.

I called Overstock, they said they would contact Bongo as they had no notes on the order stating anything was wrong (the items I ordered were extremely fragile so it was assumed maybe something got broken and they needed to replace it but left no notes)

It's been almost a week and I've heard nothing. I'm going on a week and a half since I should have received my order EXPRESS. If I'm not contacted by this time next week I'm filing a report with my bank and the better business bureau for the rip off. I will never use this company again as I've never had issues from Overstock not using Bongo, but definitely having issues with Bongo. I feel scammed.

Australians should never try this company.

Think of a business that has been operated by our politicians this is what Bongo is like. The phone wont connect. They have asked me to verify my card after sending half of my items. They lost the other half. The instructions on how to verify the account come up as an error.
the first half arrived fast. was hellishingly expensive but worth it because I got it.

I think Australia Post is absolutely fantastic now. All up crap service.

For the Love God and Your Money don't dare use Bongo Service. They are thieves, I tell you!

Hello, I want people who are about to you Bongo International to think twice before doing so. The people working at the company are nothing but thieves. I order a macbook air and xperia Z5 on amazon, i wanted to ship it to my address directly but sad amazon won't do that for me so my girlfriend told me about Bongo, she opened an account and gave the address on the acct. She received mail which confirmed the those 2 packages have arrived at her mail box. when she tried to log to check so that i can make the payment her account was locked without any explanation. So called them because my girlfrend can't speak english, they said the name on the packages is different the name that registered on them. I told them that i'm the owner of the packages and told bare the name on them. But they asked to tell amazon to contact them and they might those packages back to them. literally scam , horrible customer service

i bought few stuff amazon for reship to vietnam
but then i decided not to because of the expensive shipping
then i decided to ship my address in USA
i placed an order with prepaid card (because i didnt feel safe to use my real credit card on their broken site) to ship as soon as my stuff arrived
then i contacted their customer service about it not went through i also told them i was using prepaid card
and they told me to place order again
which i did after few days logged into their site to check
with their new updated-broken site
put me into pending no option to ship or anything
then i contacted them again
this time they told me they closed my account due to fraudulent activities
i told them i can provide my info or documents for proof
but they seemed to ignore that
and kept making excuses to waste my time
and said that they'll set up a return with return label
then i called up amazon to set up a return label
i replied back to them with the return label
they replied back to me said that
stuff in my inventory are abandoned because of its over 30 days
thanks to their slow horrible-customer-service with excuses to take my stuff
which xbox one tom division bundle and few chargers

they just dont want to ship it or return it back

not recommended service

i've also looked for reviews before using their service
but those are fake reviews

Outrageous

I ordered a Cisco compatible Plantronics CS530 On Ear Wireless Phone Headset. It looked like a really good deal at the time and I was amazed that the delivery time was so fast...considering it was coming from the US. However, when I got my order confirmation the were shipping, duty charge and loss or damage protection charges added that had not previously been mentioned. These amounted to well over £90...almost the equivalent value of the item. And surprise, surprise - there is no way of getting though to the company. As a journalist I will be hitting social media with a vengeance!

Package not delivered

I boght a motorcycle helmet, i recived an email, were it says it should arrive the 29 of april 2016. If i follow the traciking number i dont recive any information about were it is located. I also talking to fedex who the helmet should have been send with, but they said they didnt have any information about reciving it´. So all i can see is that the money have taken from my bank account, but the helmet prodably event have been send, and im really unhappy with it.

I cannot reach my products

I am international customer from HONG KONG. This is my first time using Bongo. I just purchase 3 clothes from kobebryant.com through Bongo. But unfortunately, I cannot get any respond from the kobebryant.com as the terms and condition said the purchase agreement is made by me and Bongo. But Bongo just tell me the vendor not yet delivery, but already debit my credit. As I check with the web site, the delivery was on April 25, 2016, but until now still no any news about my purchase. I would like to cancel my order, but Bongo reply me is directly contact the vendor.

But according to the terms and condition in kobebryant.com, the purchase agreement is not made by the vendor to me, so I cannot directly contact the vendor. Now I feel Bongo is fraud company. I don't know what can I do. Money was paid to Bongo, but no products delivery to me. Very disappointed.

Horrible Service

Horrible Service, needed a server urgently in Santiago Chile. Ordered 2 day shipping at Amazon. After it arrived at BongoUS i wanted to ship it. Shipping fee including taxes was USD 752. Total Product Value was 550 USD.

I called and was told that it doesn't look right and they will try to fix it. After about a week of hearing the same story they told me to ship it without paying the taxes upfront. Paying the taxes upfront was the only reason i signed up for a Bongo Account in the first place. After 20(!) days of issues and not being able to ship because of their broken website I returned the item. Asked for a free return I was told there was no reason and the management team decided that Errors can happen.

I today looked for a way to delete my Account but there is no easy way or button. So I will send them a registered letter. Lousy service :(

update April 18th - Bongo contacted me 2 days after my review was published and promised me to return the "return fee". I changed the review from 1 to 2 stars since I had happily used Bongo in the past. This last experience was so bad that there is no way i can change it to three stars. Cannot guarantee that i will ever return to bongo but never say never.

I Felt Scammed - New Zealanders I do not recommend using Bongo

Here is my story. I wanted to buy goods from Amazon who will not ship electronic goods to NZ. Did the search found Bongo US and read everything on their website which is available when you first sign up. Looked legitimate.

I then made a purchase on Amazon which was about $600 US (Give or take a few dollars). I Shipped the goods to Bongo in California and everything went like clockwork. I tracked the goods they notified me etc all good everything they promised. I then went to on ship the goods to New Zealand, which is the service I signed up for. Their quote was...with taxes and everything else about $1600Us give or take a few dollars. I noted that their didn't seem to be any way to record this, so I did a few screen shots of the computer. That is when I felt scammed, not saying I was, just felt it. I also felt let down, that I had used a company that appeared to not charge market rates. I then did some searches which seemed to confirm how I was feeling. But I can't attest to the accuracy of what I read so I won't repeat it here.

But being an ex Detective and Serious Fraud Office Investigator for the NZ government, and ex corporate fraud investigator I felt I could do more. (I am not a stranger to court action, but on the good side of the law) So I scoured their website, a bit of us law and then looked at Bongos terms and conditions which seemed to now be available to me. My impression is that they were not prior to this point and subsequent sign ups under a different name appear to confirm this, but this end user may be missing something on their website. Interesting if I abandoned the goods they sold them to recover costs. Good business sense and any business is entitled to do this.

I then went to confirm the shipping amount was market value as that would tell me a lot. A few more searches and I found Kiwi Shipping, based in the same suburb as Bongo California, so the price should be about the same.

Interestingly Kiwi Shipping did quotes up front for the value of the goods to airfreight or ship by sea to NZ. I was on the airfreight path at that time.

A comparable quote was $500 via Fedex, thats when I felt sick to the stomach as I hate deceptive and unethical practices, which was a personal view of how I felt at that time.

Being a creative type I then thought i could still recover from this. Bongos fees made the entire transaction uneconomical, but Kiwi Shippings did not. Kiwi shipping it turned out was a division of Mainfreight NZ which I have felt with directly in business previously so I trusted them being an NZ Company with a good reputation(Main frieght) and still do. (Please note, I am a genuine customer and in no way am I related to Kiwi Shipping or Mainfreight. A business I worked for had them doing contract work, but that was many years ago, so there is no basis to discredit this review due to this) Based on this I got a quote from Bongo to ship within suburb to Kiwi Shipping. $107 US. Not sure on US charging for a courier but it sounded very expensive for the same suburb. Felt more ripped off. But.....It meant I didn't do my money on the original purchase. So I got them to ship it, it turned up at Kiwi Shipping to my relief and now the goods are coming to me in NZ for a reasonable price and market price.

Kiwi shipping did say that Bongo did a great job of consolidation, so they delivered on that front. Thats two pluses, the deliver and receipt at bongo and their consolidation methods.

Due to my experience with Bongo I felt the need to ship by sea to try and recover some of the costs that I lost with Bongo, so it will take longer but will eventually be cheaper overall.

So my message is: From my personal experience, I would caution anyone thinking of using Bongo to ship goods to New Zealand and say not a great experience unless you like getting large unexpected quotes. I also believe their shipping rates appear to be above market rates, but at the least three times that of Kiwi Shipping. The old Kiwi Saying of "Yeah Nah" Applies Here.

If you are readying this after feeling you have been caught out, there are other shipping companies and I would now recommend sending the goods onto another company like Kiwi Shipping. Especially for New Zealanders.

Also this is a New Zealand Experience, so I can't say what happens when other locations are involved. Just the facts as they are for this New Zealander.

To Bongo, thanks for the new life lessons. I will never use your services again in this lifetime and never recommend you to a living sole. Please delete all of my information from your files as I withdraw all consents written or implied retrospectively. I do not believe it is ethical to charge three times market rates which is the perception I have of what you tried to do in this transaction. I am sure everyone on this website would love to hear your explanation though. (Yes I have notes made at the time, screenshots, emails etc I never delete anything like this). Lastly I hope this is an isolated incident.

I am a very ethical and honest person so I have tried to be very factual and keep the emotion out of this review. Bongo please remain factual in your response, as I see you respond frequently.

I hope this review is helpful to someone in the world...especially my fellow New Zealanders as this is the only reason why I have written it. To educate others on being careful in this online third party shipping world we now have.
