Beastnode was really great a few years back. My friends and I had a modded FTB server that had minimal issues. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, we wanted to start up our modded server again, this time with MC Eternal.

We were originally on a budget 8GB plan and upgraded twice because the server just could not handle the modpack. On the best plan they offered it was still impossible to play. We were getting crazy block lag and entity stuttering even when nobody was loading chunks.

I tried a bunch of things to mitigate the stuttering, including reducing the server render distance, restarting the server multiple times, and disabling mods we didn't need. Nothing worked.

Support was very unhelpful. They claimed it was an issue with our world, that it could be corrupted. They also said they couldn't help due to the large amount of mods in the pack, which is ridiculous because some of the FTB modpacks are huge.

We recently switched to a different hosting service. Exact same world. Exact same modpack. ZERO stuttering. I don't know if Beastnode is using outdated hardware or what. All I know is that when we switched everyone on our server saw a massive improvement.

I just started using beastnode about 2 weeks ago and I have to say its incredible, I upgraded the server(2g->4gb) and it was automatically improved (just a quick restart) both of them worked well I just needed more ram for more players. then I send a request to buy more storage space and they sent a full recommendation for a plugin I was using on the server on how to link it up with SQL and use Filezilla to improve the experience. I hope to keep using the service

I have used BeastNode's services for upwards of 8 years now, and I can say with certainty that one cannot find a better server host out there! The customer support has always been reliable, helpful, and friendly, not to mention the server quality and reliability itself is outstanding.

I have been a client of beastnodes since 2015/2016, somewhere in that range, running a small multiplayer server that is now on it's 7th year running. When I initially utilized beastnode their staff was helpful and the server ran great. As any Minecraft server owner knows, 1.13 was a rough update across the board, not only for plugins but for general server performance. I was accepting and understanding of this, and quickly optimized my server to utilize the most lag-friendly setup. However, we are now on 1.15.3 and we just did a map reset with a new world that had chunks pre-generated 12k in all directions. All plugins current (we only utilize a few and they are lightweight, as we are a primarily vanilla-gameplay server), map pre-generated, the whole works for a perfect lag-free setup. We even upgraded our package to one that should theoretically (according to beastnode) be able to support 70+ players (we utilized the enderman package), and we regularly have 15-20 online at a time. The TPS made the game unplayable, sitting at 8-9TPS when we went over 10 players. Zero new chunks were being loaded. Having been with Beastnode for about 5 years, I expected the support team to assist me through this, particularly because I upgraded our package to one that cost $50 a month when the majority of other hosts out there offer way more RAM for the same price. I was sorely disappointed. I was first informed to rotate back to Spigot (we had transitioned to paper). To humor them I tried this, with the exact same results. They then told me to optimize my server with a link to a resource I had already utilized and were already 100% present on my server. I reached out to request further assistance, and I was informed: "Hi, There is nothing else we can suggest unfortunately, the host is not relevant to the issue - we have plenty of servers running on Spigot/Paper 1.15.2 without issue, it is entirely down to your server setup, what is installed and what is being done ingame." Untrue. Again, we are a vanilla server with very lightweight plugins, I've owned this place for 7 years, and I also periodically play on other servers that host many more people on similar packages and with zero of the issues we were experiencing. I immediately switched to a different host on a package that cost the same price with significantly more powerful servers behind it. Customer service was phenomenal - not only did they assist immediately with small hiccups that we had within the first 24 hours, but they transferred 100% of my files from beastnode right over to the new FTP. With the exact same config files, setup, and price, my server has been running at a solid 20TPS with not a single blip, zero lag, and again I reiterate: ZERO CHANGES IN PLUGINS OR SETUP! Beastnode used to be great, but I don't know if their machinery is far outdated or if they are just not current with options that are now available that allow servers to play great lag-free Minecraft for far less of a price. I was sad to leave them, but now only 72 hours after leaving, will NEVER look back. Given the amount of time and money I have dedicated to beastnode over the years, I would have expected far more.

BeastNode does not engage in transparent, good business practices. I was under the impression I was purchasing a full server and not just a host. I contacted customer services, but never received a response. They received money from me and I did not receive the proper services in return. It is a waste of money and feels a lot like a scam.

I've been with Beastnode for exactly one year now, and they have pretty good server hosting. Many of the 1 star reviewers don't really know what they're doing, their servers run good for shared hosting, even on 1.14 since 1.14 has the worst performance of any update minecraft has ever had. For the most part lag is minimal. Can't really say anything bad about them, but their packages can be pricey, even if you buy a budget server. You don't get much disk space either, unfortunately, but eh.

I am extremely disappointed in their service, I got a server almost three weeks ago, it was extremely laggy, more so than I would have expected for a 6GB server. I canceled the same day, and still have no response from their billing about getting a refund. Worst service I have had on any minecraft server host.

Terrible servers. The website boasts about being one of the top competing minecraft server hosts - bragging about the packages it offers, hardware/software used to run the servers and other minor things to advertise themselves better than they actually are.

Bought a server, spent several hours transferring world files (as there was no up-to date guide supporting the user). After all this, it didn't take long to figure out that the servers were absolute trash. Constant lag, couldn't handle two or more players and the only solution to fix this was to revert to a version between 1.12 and 1.13. They blame official MC servers to be the cause of lag, when other hosts clearly don't have an issue supporting 1.14 updates.

They don't offer what they say. Don't buy from this host. Simple.

Awful customer service. Even worse service, two of us could barely connect without crashing it. No help was recieved either.

Really easy to set up a server, plugins and so on. Although it does lag every so often for no apparent reason. Yet, the it still is a solid service which makes it easy for anyone to set up a server.

Would love them to backup the save files longer after the server expires. other than that great service!

We have been using them for years, and have multiple servers with Beastnode. Customer service and tech support always responds quickly. I'm very happy with their service and I don't hesitate in recommending them.

The server was going perfectly fine and smooth and it was easy to install plugins. Sadly, my friends never joined. They even gave me a partial refund for the days that were unused when I canceled their server. They even replied to an email in less than 4 minutes!

Setup was automatic and fast! Tickets are answered in a timely manner! I really love BeastNode!

the first server service I have subscribed to and I am very impressed. The prices are a little higher than other server hosts but worth it. My friend had a 2 GB server from another service and it was horrible, we couldn't even play vanilla on it. On this server, I got the 2 GB option because that's what was recommended for mods so I trusted them and we play Tekxit which has 126 mods and travel thousands of blocks from each other with not many issues. I will definitely be continuing my service.

Nice interface, easy setup. Issues with lag with few players, chunks fail to load.

I like the cheaper options for small servers and this far I've not experienced many problems (none that is the cause of BeastNode). Great work!

Its a great place, the prices are really cheap and I can hang out with my friends on minecraft with little latency. You guys honestly rock, thank you.
