Products were not sent out. Emails were exchanged with the usual 'sorry there have been delays we will send it out hopefully in next couple of days blahblahblah....... Obviously nothing was sent, emails ignored. Chargeback begun with credit card for the first time in my life. Awaiting to hear outcome but i'm hopeful il get it back after sending evidence. I just noticed their website is no longer available so hopefully they have been put a stop to 'trading'.

Received an item. Didn’t work it’s now five months on. Many emails and many times trying to ring them later. No replacement product or no refund

A refund was clearly agreed and then never issued. Follow-ups were met with silence or automated holding replies, with no evidence that anyone was actually dealing with the issue.

When a business takes payment, agrees to return it, and then fails to do so, that is not a mistake — it is a serious failure of basic business ethics.

The complete absence of accountability after taking money is a major red flag. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing from this company.

THIS IS A PURE LIE!!! They do not work through back orders, they have a scam system going on where it doesn’t allow a refund either. PLZ DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR LIES!!! Scam company on British soil!!!!

i ordered 4 scoops from Batley diy before Christmas and still haven't got them . i have tried to call them lots of times but no one answers a phone, emailed them several time got one reply saying they were having problems with deliveries and they would be posted in a couple of days that was on the 7th Jan still nothing .no wonder there reviews are so bad wish I had looked first . i think that what there doing is illegal defrauding money from people with no intension of supplying any goods , the police should be involved this is fraud

Company flagged my review as "defamatory" for calling them scammers, so here are pure facts only.

1) The companies registered address (can also be seen on their website) is: Unit 7 Vantage Point, Howley Park Road East, Morley, Leeds, England, LS27 0SU

2) The company changed hands on 14 March 2023, which you can see by searching Companies House records for: BatleyDIY (the registered address confirms its the correct company). You can find the name of the new director (and secretary) there.

3) All (or almost all) the reports of people ordering from the website and not receiving their products on Trustpilot seem to have started at around this time.

4) Their website currently has 2 of the 3 payment methods as being direct bank transfers. These types of payments can not be reversed under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, like credit cards can.

5) The industrial unit that they have registered at Companies House (and showing on their website) has a Tort notice and Forfeiture notice taped to their door. You can see this by googling their address, click the company on the map and look at the pictures. You can even fullscreen / zoom the image to see the wording of the notices.

6) If you feel that this company has scammed you and taken money for products they did not send (especially if they are declining to refund you), you are within your legal right to inform the police. You can do this by google searching for: ReportFraud Police UK.

Ordered oct After a month got my money back on credit card after contacting bank as no goods delivered got a message from bank 27th Jan 2026 batleys has challenged my payment dispute even to this day no goods, DO not order you won't get anything

Do not order from this company. They do not send out orders, they do not answer emails nor calls, and they don't do refunds. Absolute disgrace of a shop!

Lesson learned .. always check reviews before ordering anything off a company you have never heard of :-(

I placed an order, but never received it. I've called and emailed but they're not responding. It appears from reading other reviews also, that this company just takes your money and has no intention of fulfilling your order. I've reported them to Trading Standards.

scam. I wished I had checked it before... they don't send orders, initially email about delay due to the system being down (which I told them was a lie). requested a refund, which was ignored. now reported it to my bank for a chargeback. they have been evicted from their premises, so don't seem to have any stock or means of sending the goods. they just take your money... avoid.

Have failed to provide the products I have paid for. They promised a refund but now do not return calls or emails.

Awful company,would never deal with them again and would recommend nobody deals with them, ordered an item in November,still not delivered, can't get through by phone ,no reply to emails, absolutely bloody disgusting company

Ordered a knife on the 17th of December, had no follow up, I've emailed them for a refund 3 times and had no response!!
It's theft and fraud and I will pursue my money.
Please stay away from this company, they will take your money but not send the goods, they should be taken off the website.

Buyers bewars. Avoid this retailer. I submitted an order for goods on 15th Nov. When the arrival date had been missed by a couple of days I contacted to be advised that there had been a delay but that it was hoped the good would be dispatched in the next couple of days. Nothing has been received, emails are now going unanswered and tried to telephone and although their message says "your call is important to us" obviously not enough to answer as after over 20 minutes I gave up. The good are now well over a month overdue. Having to go through the hassle of a charge back from my Credit Card when this could and shoulsd have been handled better and dealt with more promptly.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Ordered some invoice books. Heard nothing. Chased them every week for over a month. Kept being told there was a delay with deliveries. Ended up having to order from somewhere else so requested a refund, which they said over email they’d issue. Never got it so raised a complaint via my bank and all sorted in 24 hours. Like some other people i spent hours initially trying to call and was on hold the entire time. Appalled by the lack of customer service. I won’t buy from them again.

Ordered 2 Premier lights on 27 Nov and then checked view your order on 1 Dec to find that the shop was 'unavailable' After then seeing all the awful reviews I sent an email asking if the items would be sent as it concerned me the store was offline. They replied saying cancellation had been logged and refund would happen in 10 working days. I knew this was wrong as I paid via Klarna who are quick to cancel future payments and refund once notified by the seller.
Have now logged the issue and conversation with Klarna as bought the items elsewhere but wish I'd double checked reviews before ordering as they are truly awful :(

0 stars! I placed an order on the 6th November, we were advised there was a delay with the delivery. Tried numerous times to reach by phone, no response from emails. I decided to visit them as I wanted either my purchase or a refund to find they've been evicted from their property and no longer trading.

Their website is still live so they will take your money but deliver no goods.
